Last week, I lost another one of my heros. President Gordon B. Hinckley (leading the LDS church aka latter-day-saints aka mormon), at the age of 97, he passed on with his boots on. Still in shape and working. Life goes on, but he will be missed greatly. Best wishes to Thomas S Monson...

THIS HAS BEEN UP FOR SIX YEARS. THIS JOKE IS SIX YEARS OLD. YOU DON'T NEED TO CORRECT ME ANYMORE.

So, Khrys and I went to the store today for milk, bread, butter, and the likes. And as we were walking down the chips and beer isle...we came across these signs. They said:

"No Beer Sales on Sunday"

And Khrys automatically goes "Only in Utah..."

I know that they do this in other states. The whole "Only in Utah" was an inside joke with my group of friends at the time. We'd find a bra shoved into a shelf in the candy aisle: "Oonly in Utah~" We would see three LDS churches within the same two blocks: "Oooonly in Utah~"
It was a joke. I hope that reading this, you guys won't feel the need to correct me anymore. :I

Edit:
I don't know how many times I've explained this, but THIS IS A JOKE. I don't care if it's a thing anywhere else in the USA or even in other countries or even on Mars. Quit telling me about this shit. It's a joke. I'm going to just ignore any further comments telling me that "BUT THEY DO THAT IN -place-!!!" because I KNOW. I KNOW THAT THIS HAPPENS ELSEWHERE. I KNOW!!

Color is wonderful, is it not? Especially when it works with architecture, which is another obsession of mine. This is one of my favorite LDS temples for it's structure, and yes I love it so much, I gave my dog the same name as well because, to paraphrase Oscar Wilde, it's "a name that inspires confidence." I tried to work with the clouds as best as I could, but I think overall it turned out well. Enjoy =)

These are my Spanish and English triplets, made up of a Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and a Pearl of Great Price. I hope you like it, this one turned out okay  That's also a Young Women's medallian that we get when we turn 12, the torch with a girl's face as a flame is our symbol :)

I'm annoyed I have to say this, but some people are immature enough, so: Please no bashing the Mormon/LDS religion, my religion.
Questions are welcome. Bashing is not.

Entered in the Summer 2010 Temples Contest

The time of year in which we celebrate the birth of our Savior is a special time for Temple Square in SCL. The whole landscape transforms into a majestic location at night time during the Christmas season, and one truly has to experience this in person to appreciate it fully. This image is an attempt to capture part of that majesty. One amazing part of this particular shot is the luck of timing, having no one in the frame that really disrupts the viewers experience, it's really just the viewer and the lights and the temple in this image.
