Gliding into the room,
they can't be seen,
they can't be heard,
and only their presence is felt.
In their silence,
they line the walls
and sit on the benches,
all apparently empty,
but they were all full.
A group of 9 people enter a small room,
5 follow through the door.
After conformation for five people,
the person stands and exits,
the 5 following.
With the door barely moving,
5 new come for confirmation,
replacing the ones who left for baptism.
Something they did not have the chance to do when alive.
Every second splash of water,
one left to another room,
their joy and thankful feeling,
left in the hearts of all the people there.
More joyous spirits fill the room,
ready for conformation and a baptism.
If they could be seen,
you'd see them all around.
All with smiles,
all so grateful,
all with a thank you,
just for you.

Where have you been?
Why did you leave me,
When I needed you most?
Do you not truly care?
You would never forsake me
Where did you go?
Did you not hear me,
When my heart cried out to you?
Was your ear deaf?
Are you void of feeling?
Do you not see these tears on my face?
Oh, why did you leave me?
Why did you leave?
Where have you been?
Why did you leave me?
Do you not know
How much I truly care?
I would never forsake you
I was always right there
I heard you,
When you cried out in your anguish
My ear heard every word
My heart broke for you
I shed tears along with you
I never left you
Rather, you left me

The lights flickered in the studio, the concrete floors and dark corners giving the illusion that the building was to be considered a large garage. However, it was a bit more ornate than that, as banners hanging from the ceiling and different metal machines adorned the edges near the walls, showcasing a pony in a white suit, with even it's mane and tail completely hidden within the confines of the fabric, a shining white helmet adorning the stallion's head, leaving any idea of the pony under the cloth to be a complete mystery.
A bushy maned pony walked into the center of the staging area of the building, stepping upon a raised platform which held two couches, one large enough for two ponies, and the other the beige pony found himself occupying, placing some documents on the table as he rested himself on the seat. Flipping through pages, the pony's expressions flipped lazily from mild surprise to utter disgust as fiddled with the color of

The rest stared at Tobi wondering what the mask-man would say or do. Without warning Tobi let out a huge laugh. "Boy! Was Tobi scared! I thought that mean looking man would hurt Tobi!" Tobi gi

When I was little, I used to think the word "gay" only stood for "joy" or "lightheartedness." Then, of course, as I got older, when the window of innocence was shattered, it took on an entirely new meaning. You're probably thinking this is one of those "coming out of the closet" stories, but quite the opposite is true.
I am not gay.
Loving someone of the same gender never once crossed my mind. In fact, to this very day, I've never fully understood how that was even possible. Whenever I ask someone, the only answer I get runs along the lines of, "That's just the way they are. They were born that way." As if being gay were as natural as a bird flying or a fish swimming.
In my case, it wasn't that much of a deal unti
A Rough Fall No resident of the village ever paid much heed to the man in black. He came and went as he pleased, appearing often around Solstice-time before disappearing for months on end, only to be spotted in the tavern at odd points of the year. The townsfolk that cared enough to lend their attention found him an oddity: no man, save the local bartend, had ever heard him speak, which was strange enough. But then there was his nature. Obviously, he was a vagrant, a transient who mapped his travels in no definite pattern throughout Britain, and as such, should have been an object worthy of great suspicion. But never had he acted violently, never had he given the villagers reason to distrust him, and in doing so had utterly befuddled the fixed population. Were not wandering strangers to be regarded as lawless vagabonds? This one man had turned an unspoken rule upon its head.A Rough Fall4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
