because I've rolled over to discover
only a pillow and not my lover,
sleeping by my side.
When the aroma of coffee

what it would smell like
If you were here.
A daily routine of half a heart
consists of mostly longing,
day dreaming of being reunited

And we're trying to decide how to get to the other side
But it seems the one place you want to get to is the hardest one to find.
Well I'm finally fed up with guessing,
and I was never good at reading maps
So I'm jumping out of the car and walking to see where we are at.
You seem unsure about this. Some declaration against the rules
You like to set up boundaries, I've noticed.
MissingFrom mountains covered in a whimsical dusting,Missing7 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Across rapids which thundered louder than the heart,
Where a voice gets lost within the depth of a canyon,
I searched for a missing part.
My eyes have seen beyond their years,
Words of wisdom have flown off my tongue,
A child-like joy has remained in my actions,
As I traveled to discover the one:
Excuse me, sir. Have you seen this man?
He's about this tall, with eyes that shine
with some secretive joy unknown to all,
and I hope to someday claim it as mine.
He captures the sun with his smile,
Even the stars seem to glisten with a closer look,
admiring this dreaming gem of the earth,
a character who seemingly leaped from a book.
I bet he writes poetry in the dimness of his room.
Scribbles little notes to a loverperhaps to me too?
Maybe he's searching for me, just as I search for him.
Have you seen him kind sir? Have you?
A man with a longing in his heart,
Like he carries a burden, but continues to stand tall.
A twitch of his lips state

enticed my body with different sensations,
strangled my tongue so what I said was impossible

a moan captured in the chest,
light-headed, throbbing of the temples, to the point of calling it a migraine.
I'm sick. My mother even told me so.
As I counted down the days of the months,
the hours of the days, the minutes of the hours,

How does one describe the sensation of breathing without
the use of suffocation? How does one color the mind with touches

Have you touched fog? It's like embracing a ghostwhirling about
you with a phantom-like sensuality.

And were granted a peace of mind?
Did you know I would give it all

A wall separating our realities. But when I gaze up at the frosted sky

Its what you expect it to be.
It looks like a poem. It acts like a poem
It sort of even has a bit of a rhyming scheme.
(well just pretend that be and scheme rhyme real well, ok?)
This is a poem about broken hearts
Theres quite a few out there.
This poem is not much different from those
I just thought you might care.
(though I advice you check out the other poems out there)
I dont express myself freely when it comes to talk
In fact you sometimes have to pry
Keep on questioning me about this and that
Generosity :Kabuto Poem:Generosity :Kabuto Poem:8 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The first thing I gave was my ear.
I heard what you had to say.
Which lead to giving my loyalty.
You graciously let me stay.
Then you asked for my face.
(Yours was far too well known)
My eyes would prove quite helpful,
Though they weren't as keen as your own.
The next thing I gave was my skill.
My strength helped when yours was gone.
My mind I gave you as well.
You filled it up before long.
My opinions I rarely gave.
I knew you'd just throw them away.
And you never asked for my heart.
(If you had, who knows what I'd say)
And still, I've never stopped giving.
Slowly what's mine becomes yours.
I've given you all I ever had.
Now I can give you no more.

I feel like Im losing everything. What if I am running out of time?

Always the one watching as new romance begins
But let me be a little selfish for once and ask just this
When will I get my one true wish?
How many times do I have to go out in the field alone?
Until an angel feels sorrowful and helps me find home
And there I find you standing like the hero Ive always dreamed

The light drifted in through the curtains and fluttered under his eyelids. He groaned, tossing the covers so they fell over his head and turned his body away from the light. He did not want anything to disrupt her beautiful face. Her hand was reaching out to stroke his cheek, and she was smiling in that devious manner that sent shivers up his spine. The anticipation was killing him. He wanted her. He wanted to be lost in the flavor of her hair, the scent of her skin, damped with perspiration, and to die in the suffocation of a kiss which leaves one breathless forever.
But she was already dead.

Yet I walk the distance another way.
Though the stars twinkle, they never speak
Shaded away, yet still seeking their gaze,
Who knows what dangers lurk? I hide away,
In the shadows, I currently remain.
Don't find me, but secretly I hope,
A helping hand will be found.
And so I search even though I say no

And even when it disappeared, I continued searching
Until it was no longer day and quite dark.
Lost in the world, I looked for the rainbow
In my search, got struck by cupid's arrow
Now I pondered philosophies in a daze
Waiting for the moment I'd once again be amazed.
Beautiful rainbow, light up the sky once more
Lead me through the woods like you did before.
What treasures do you hide? What mysteries do you hold?
What stories have you left to be told?
My search went on for ages--days did I go without
