Chapter 1: A whole lot of Firsts!
"To live in this world, you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go" -Mary Oliver
It was a red, cloudy day at the Sierra Madre. The sky was, as usual, a thick red. The Villa looked dead, like a old knotted tree. But within its walls, buildings, life . . . or maybe not life, but something, moved through it like blood in the veins. Ghost People shuffled through the streets, out of sight, silent, and for the most part, single minded. They didn't think, didn't feel, didn't have individual ideas. Just hunt, capture, turn. Hunt, capture, turn. Hunt, capture, turn. Hunt, capture, turn.
Seeker was no different. Seeker hunted, captured, and brought the captured into the depths of the Villa. Seeker had never known another life, no Ghost had. Seeker was just anothe

His sweet bells will ring, but have you no fear.
Night will ensue; it's presence draw nigh.
Oh what sweet, a blessing to die!
Hear the trembling, ever soft cry.
The time has come, bid your likeness goodbye
Soft! Hear my cry, Death's presence draw nigh.
Oh what sweet a blessing to die!
Course, the waters black as coal.
Entice and trap this useless soul.
Its life is fragile, drowned in the light.
Erase its pain in the mem'ry of night
Night come to me, draw darkness nigh.
Oh what sweet, a blessing to die!

Hold fast to your soul or be drug down to hell
Water rise, bring new life nigh!
Oh what sweet, a blessing to die!
Two the call to hold you down!
While dead ones dance and nightmares crown.

The fourth, preparation, forget your fear
The last of all the final bell.

Retching violently Spock spat bright yellow bile into the sink. When he felt he had control over his stomach once again he turned the water on to cold. After washing his face he buried it in a towel. Taking a deep breath Spock concentrated on stopping the trembling in his hands, but nothing could be done for it.
It is still a reasonable trade. Spock muttered to himself.
The Vulandin drug gave him the reins on his emotions once again. The price he was paying for mental control was a disabling physical sickness. Exhausted from the mostly unproductive heaving Spock walked back over to the bed and sat down. He stared at the far wall and contemplated his options.
There was no point in further demanding to be returned to the Enterprise. Although time was difficult to determine between the sunless room and the frequent black outs Spock assumed that at lea
Docters Aren't that BadThey surrounded them on all sides, gazing at them with those expressions of hunger. Blood covering their mouths and flesh hanging off of their limbs, it was a sight you could lose your lunch over, no matter how hardened you are. What was worse then the sight was the stench they gave off. It was a sour but at the same time so sickly sweet. The humidity of the swamp didn't help at all, making it feel as if you were always covered in blood.Docters Aren't that Bad5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Not that the four minded; they lived for the blood shed, with the American the only one not completely bloodthirsty which wasn't exactly saying much, and they were used to the stench by now. It's simply the price you pay after spending a month or so in the same place without any contact from the outside world besides the occasional ghost message being relayed to and fro the Imperial army. How they have stayed (moderately) sane, not including the German mind you, was beyond the comprehension of any of them. They just simply killed zombies, ate, talked,

Yes, Captain. Spock nodded. His thoughts are chaotic, unreadable, and above all highly emotional.
Is this sort of mental breakdown common among Vulcans? Bones asked.
It is completely unheard of. Since I can not understand his thoughts it is impossible to tell what drove him to this extreme.
What are all the possible causes?
The main suspects would be: disease, radiation poisoning, or some form of extreme torture.
Torture? Bones asked in alarm.
By the time you have gone far enough to break a Vulcan they are truly broken and no use to any one. Spock replied calmly. It is not a logical use of time, but perhaps someone who h

Hey, you didnt have to come along. Participation in this rescue was not an order.
We are so going to get our asses kicked out of Star Fleet for this.
Assuming the Vulcans dont kick them first. Kirk chuckled.
Id kill us if I was them.
Well luckily youre not Vulcan.

It had been two weeks since Spock's one man take over of the USS Independence. They had done all they could for the ship and she had headed back to Earth alone. After finishing up with the class K planet they were now heading through the vastness of space towards a peace treaty signing between to waring worlds that the Federation had agreed to mediate.
Kirk sat in the Captain's chair staring out the front view screen at the stars that slowly moved past them. It was around shift change time, but he had no intention of leaving the bridge. It wasn't that the Enterprise needed him sitting here, he simply didn't have anywhere better on the ship to be. He glanced over at the empty spot where Spock was usually staring at the sensors.
I hate mediations. Kirk muttered to himself. Mr. Sulu, is there anyway we can get there sooner? Quicker we get there,

Youve been working nearly ten hours.
I used to pull twenty-four hour shifts back in med school when I was an intern. McCoy replied defensively.
Youre not an intern any more, and the ship is not in a state of emergency.
If I didnt know any better Id say you were trying to get rid of me.
No, Doctor. Chapel shook her head. I just want to make sure youre getting the sleep you need.
Thank you. I think I will turn in. Call me if Im needed.
McCoy took one last look around before leaving. He was tired, but he didnt go directly to his quarters. Instead he headed down to the security level. McCoy had been slipping out of medical about every other hours to

I don't really know.

Oh, well if you mean physically: she has a subluxed right shoulder, her wrist is broken in three places, laceration to the lower lip, and a deep bruise over her left temple with a small fracture in the superior orbital region of the frontal bone.
Kirk closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. He listened to the list of Uhura's injuries in complete disbelief. It was like a nightmare, and he expected to wake from it at any minute. When McCoy reached out and put his hand on his shoulder Kirk realized that he wasn't going to be waking up in a cold sweat anytime soon.
Jim, it's not her physical injuries that worry me.
No, I can fix them. It's the psychological effects that are the biggest issue at the moment. She hasn't said a word, she won't

I don't understand why. I mean...i'm quiet and shy, so I'm not disobedient, or having sex or doing drugs.
Maybe my mother was just worried I wasn't making enough friends. I mean, I didn't really have any real friends at my old school, just acquaintances, so maybe she thought this would be better for me.

Uhura walked silently next to Spock as they made their way back to their quarters. The Captain had first requested that Spock report to sick bay and stay there. When Spock refused he came close to making it an order. Making his feelings clear Spock announced that he would resign from Star Fleet if that was what it was going to take to keep from being confined to a hospital bed. Kirk had back down, but only because he knew he couldnt win.
Spock had stopped into medical long enough to clean the blood from his face and check on Saavik. The other half Vulcan was not doing well and even locked in sleep she whimpered and fought for every breath. It didnt escape Uhuras notice the way that McCoy hovered over Saavik. He had even snarled at Chapel when the nurse had tried to tend to the deep cut that slashed through his temple.

"So um....I hope you will accept me as a new member to your group..." said a pink-haired vocaloid.
"Hey, don't worry; we're all a family here. Maybe later we can go out to eat ice cream to celebrate!" said the other blue-haired one.
It was an exciting day for the vocaloid family as the managers just released a new vocaloid to the J-Pop market. Her name was Megurine Luka, a vocaloid who was able to sing both English and Japanese pop songs. Normally, everyone would have went to meet up with their new member, but as Miku and the others were busy that day, Kaito decided to escort her home.
Miku and the vocaloid family lived in house on the outskirts of Sapporo, Hokkaido. Despite her status as a pop idol singer, her house that she shared with her other vocaloid colleagues, Meiko, Rin and Len was relatively small and functional. It had four bedrooms, a central
Comm: Giselle Gewelle - Z, The Zaftig (Bleach WG)Giselle Gewelle was a Quincy in service of the Vandenreich, the last remaining Quincy organization, and a secretive one at that. She was also part of the Sternritter, the Vandenreich's elite task force. Out of the 25 individual letters passed among that group's members, she had been deemed 'Z' by His Majesty. Her title of 'The Zombie' granted her the ability to use her own blood as a controlling agent to take control of the minds and bodies of both the deceased and the living. It was a rather unique power that didn't have much to offer in terms of self-protection, but it fit her twisted personality nicely and it made her exceptionally dangerous to fight in close-range combat. Nobody ever thought her power was a worthless one, or at the very least, they were smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves, least they end up getting doused with some very dangerous, zombifying blood in the middle of the night.Comm: Giselle Gewelle - Z, The Zaftig (Bleach WG)4 months ago in General Fiction More Like This

The Chief walked down a white, sterile hallway in a full dress uniform. His muscular build filled the standard ceremonial suit and slacks, and he felt restricted by the loose fit of the clothes. He never could understand why the past military leaders had wanted their men to wear such inhibiting clothes. He felt exposed and susceptible to attack. If an enemy contact appeared around the corner, he would have to rip the weak cloth like tissue paper so he could move at full speed. They did not hold to his skin like the MJOLNIR armor he had worn for the past 32 years. He hated not being in his MJOLNIR armor.

The group was in a lower pass of the seemingly endless Earthkingdome southern mountain range. The distant ocean could be seen through a few of the lesser towering peaks to the south. The mountain pass they found themselves in was also considerably more forested then the high passes they had been in. There was about two foot of snow on the ground.

If I saw you in heaven, would you even know my name,
the years have gone by so slowly,
and yet I only have myself to blame.
Our daughter left us so quickly,
in the first few years of her life,
all she knew was darkness in which she lived so serenely.
You were the next to depart, leaving me in constant strife,
how painful was your death,
it left me lamenting for my wife.
I have finally regained the wealth
that was taken from my body,
but will you notice me now, now that we have no health.
I took care of you through sickness, helped you embody
all the things in life you wanted,
no matter how cheap or gaudy.
Please remember me my darling and let me be loved.
Please my little angel, let me be loved.
Let us be a family, now that darkness has triumphed.

I know upon receiving this letter your first reaction will be to disregard it as some kind of joke. I assure you, however, the return address you see scrawled on the back of this envelope is very real, and so am I for quite some time, actually, despite what your history books may say.
But I digress; my existence is hardly the matter I wish to discuss with you. Does the name "Twilight" ring a bell? I should hope so. For that is the topic of the following letter.
I must admit, when I first heard about this series, I felt only a mild twinge of irritation: Just another vampire romance novel, I thought-full of inaccuracies and dark, brooding anti-heroes. While I could go on and on with my quibbles about any sort of romance with a vampire, your "Twilight" particularly caught my attention.
I'll be frank with you, Mrs. Meyer: it was the most inaccurate interpretation of vampi

The sun was already high into the morning sky, helping to provide a soft, soothing, orange glow to the scene of party-induced destruction that was the main living area of the gangs temporary residence in Ba-Sing-Se.
Between the sea of dirty plates, cups and various scattered items was a large futon spread out onto the floor. Sprawled in the middle of this soft bed, surrounded by large cushions, lay a snoring Sokka. Suki was snuggled up to him on one side resting on her boyfriends shoulder. Toph was sprawled out inelegantly at the other end of the futon using one of Sokkas legs as a pillow. Nearby on a large circular and padded cane chair, Aang and Katara were snuggled together sleeping comfortably.
Just outside, through the large open double doors slept Momo and Appa, the small lemurs stomach seemed to be severely bloated from overeating.
Entering this scene from the hallway appeared Mai and Zuko. Both w
