Where have all the Time Lords gone and where are all the Ood?
This absence of the aliens has put me in a mood!
Isn't there a TARDIS shooting through the universe?
Late at night I dream of how I'll break his lonely curse.

I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor till the end of all time
He's gotta be smart and he's gotta be brave
And he's gotta be tenth of his kind
I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor to put everything right
He's gotta be wise and he always looks good
With a spaceship that's bigger inside
Bigger inside

On the planet Midnight
Or in nineteen twenty-three
There's a man with a screwdriver
Who's simply wonderful to me
Beating off the Daleks, or cooling down the heat
It's gonna take a Time Lord who can sweep me off my feet

I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor till the end of all time
He's gotta be smart and he's gotta be brave
And he's gotta be tenth of his kind
I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor to put everything right
He's gotta be wise and he always looks good
With a spaceship that's bigger inside
Bigger inside

Out where the mountains simply sway in the wind
Out where the bad wolves run with glee
There's something up with Atmos and the missing bees
They call him The Oncoming Storm
Causing fire and flood
You can feel his approach like a fire in your blood

I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor till the end of all time
He's gotta be smart and he's gotta be brave
And he's gotta be tenth of his kind
I need the Doctor!
I'm holding out for the Doctor to put everything right
He's gotta be wise and he always looks good
With a spaceship that's bigger inside

Just a bit of fun, but I liked it and so thought I'd upload it.

It's to the tune of "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler.

I may write some more Doctor Who parodies.

The sun beat down on Boothville as I strutted across the cobbles of a back street in town. People scurried about, some nodding and smiling as I passed, others too busy with their own business to notice me. Looking up, I saw a camera watching the street. For some reason, it didn’t make me feel concerned. It made me feel safe, protected, watched by a friend. I resisted the urge to blow it a kiss.

I stopped outside a bakery – Coops Cakes written in curly green lettering on the shop front – and pressed my nose against the window. There were rows upon rows of cakes, biscuits and other treats. Little gingerbread men all rested in a row like a police line-up. Little cakes with icing swirls of pink, yellow, red, orange, blue, white and any other colour you could think of were displayed in curious little patterns.

Behind the counter, a girl with thick brown hair collected under a tall white hat put the finishing touches to a six-tier wedding cake, dabbing little white roses all around the edge. At one of the two tables inside sat a couple staring into one another’s eyes, holding hands and ignoring the cakes before them.

As I walked past the door, the smell hit me. Freshly baked cakes … I suddenly felt myself salivating and pushed open the door, which caused a little bell to ring. The couple at the table didn’t look up, but the girl behind the counter smiled widely at me.

“Hello,” she beamed. “Never seen you before, you must be new. I’m Heather, or Coop, as some prefer to call me. What can I get you?” I looked at the rows of buns and cakes. Behind Coop were racks of freshly baked bread and rolls.

“Anything,” I said. “Get me anything at all.” Coop smiled, picked up a little box and selected four of the most heavily iced cakes from the counter – pink, yellow, blue and white. She wrapped up the little box in ribbon and I handed over my money.

“Don’t be a stranger,” Coop gave me a wink and then looked over at the couple at the table. “Ferry, can I get you guys anything else?” The girl waved her hand absent-mindedly in Coop’s direction and then returned it to the guy’s grip.

Back outside, I noticed some noise from next door. Two teenage boys burst out of the bookshop, waving black books back in the door.

“Get it out of my shop, NOW!” yelled a voice from inside. The voice’s owner appeared at the door, a young man with a floppy fringe under a mortarboard and anger in his eyes. The Mr Grumpy on his t-shirt seemed most fitting.

“Time to sparkle!” laughed one of the boys and the bookseller threw his hat at them and yelled again, “Get out! Clear off!”

“Dan Brown should win the Nobel Prize for Literature!” shouted the other boy. This seemed to be the final straw for the bookseller, who lunged at the boys, both of whom were too quick for him and ran off chuckling.

“Having trouble?” I asked, my eyes sliding from his face to a poster in the window displaying a vampire with a big red cross through it.

“Nothing I’ve not handled before,” he said, his face softening up rather. He delved into the pocket of his jeans and pulled out a slightly crumpled flyer. “Book club tomorrow evening here in the shop. Come along, we’re doing Looking For Alaska.” He smiled and walked back into the shop. “Verity, get a fire going, love. Use those copies of Breaking Dawn, they go up a treat.”

I walked on, finding this town just a little more bizarre than I first thought it was.

“I know who you are.” Sherlock looked the Doctor straight in the eye, his expression stern and unfaltering. “In fact I know what you are too.”

“No.” The Doctor leant forward a little, now completely oblivious to the staring eyes of Amy, Rory and John. This man fascinated him. “No one in this universe does, I can promise you that.” It sounded like a challenge but Amy noticed the fleeting, distant look in his eyes.

“A traveller.” He was quick to accept the challenge. “With something to hide and he’s always running, but from what? Something big, and terrifying because this man terrifies the universe. A lost man, no home, always ready to die for the right cause. But then he found somewhere to belong, something to live for and it changed him. But that was so long ago, or feels it.” Sherlock paused, his brow furrowed and his eyes narrowed as he stared at the Doctor as if trying to analyse him. “Something changed; you’re a lonely man and a different man to then, who’s always trying to fill the void. You need a friend; sometimes you just need someone there…” The man suddenly looked confused. “And for some reason you wish you were ginger. Which is why you travel with her?”

“Doctor?” Amy stared at him in wonderment. If this was all true how had he managed to keep it hidden for so long?

“And you, Amy was it?” Sherlock cut in before the Doctor had a chance to admit to anything from his previous regenerations. He took a cautious nod from the ginger girl as permission to continue. “Scared that commitment means becoming boring, so you ran away on an adventure, but only because you knew with all certainty that you could return home at any time. Which means you didn’t want to run away forever, perhaps because you didn’t want to miss out on him.” Sherlock pointed to Rory for a moment, his focus lapsing for a second before it returned to Amy. “You love him, which means you must have known you could return to the exact same place and time.” His eyebrows raised the slightest bit. “Time travellers. There’s something new. Except you must have felt guilty and gone back to bring him along on the adventure, and there’s something else.” He stared at her with wondering eyes. “Something not quite right, something missing.”

“Hey!” Amy cut in defensively. “There’s nothing else, nothing missing. You don’t know me, what gives you the right to think you know my life?”

Sherlock ignored her interjection; he knew without a doubt that he was right. “And then there’s Rory, so hopelessly in love with her aren’t you? You’d have waited forever for her to come back, in fact you’d wait two thousand years if you had to. But you’re scared that one day you won’t measure up and she’ll find someone better, perhaps someone like the Doctor, so you jumped at the chance to come along because you hope that one day she’ll see that you’ll always be right by her side, you’ll be there if he disappears again, loyal to the end, completely and utterly devoted to her.”

Rory stared aghast at him. “What…?” He breathed. “That’s fantastic! How did you know that?”

“Oh.” The consulting detective smirked at him. “That was easy; the t-shirt.”

“Oh my God, Doctor!” Amy looked to the Doctor, expecting him to intervene with one of his clever remarks. “He’s a psychopath!”

The old Time Lord’s expression remained unchanged throughout the conversation, this man was unlike any he’d seen before, he was a genius, always cool and calculated, but he was cold, so cold and that was what fascinated him the most. “No Amy, he’s a high-functioning sociopath.”

A necklace I made (for myself). Playing around with the idea of her putting it together (adding to her TARDIS key necklace) as a reminder of her life with the Doctor (although I'm sure she wouldn't have done so and just worn her TARDIS key every day.)
actually love this far too much

TARDIS key.
Two red hearts.
Bananas. (He was always going on about how much he loves them)

The Doctor: Rose? Where are you? Rose, did you make it?
Rose stands against the bulkhead door. Oh her mobile. Quiet.

Alice and Edward stepped closer together, examining one another in the streetlight. Both of them had aged since they'd last seen one another and looked curiously the same but so different.

"Can you believe it's been fifteen years?" Edward said, raising his hand to stroke Alice's hair.

"Don't," she said. "Edward, please don't do this."

"Fifteen years," he said again. "Great Scott, you can't tell me that the feelings aren't still there, even after all this time." He begged her to agree with him.

"I can't," she said, refusing to look at him now he was so close. Just run, she thought. Kicking herself inside, she wondered why she had agreed to see him. Love didn't fade, even after all this time.

"Maybe I should just go," she said.

"No," he said, firmly. "Oh please, don't go. Please, I made such a mistake when I left you. Queen of my heart, forever and a day." Roaring cars passed them on the bridge, a few of them wondering who the two people were chatting over the water. She wished she had just stayed at home. Tom would be wondering where she was now, she'd not explained where she was going. Under the streetlight now though, all the old feelings were coming back. Very cautiously, she looked up at Edward's face and her heart felt like it was going to explode from her chest.

"Why did you come back, and why did you seek me out?" she asked, exasperated. Xanthic light bathed them and she felt like they were the only two people in the world.

"You called, whether you could hear yourself calling or not," Edward said softly.

"Zibib?" she conceded at last, and at the sound of the name of their drink, the two walked off towards the nearest bar, to a brand new future.
