hollow -- D.H. SpoilersSeverus Snape strode down the Great Hall as the last students filed out to their respective dormitories. The Sorting, the Feast, and the Headmasters speech all were passed, and all that remained was for the regular meeting and greeting expected on the first of September: Another year had begun at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
But this year already was very, very different, because Harry Potter had come to Hogwarts. Snape had eyed him curiously, apprehensively. The little dirt-speck was already a celebritythe Potions Master scowled at the thought. He would have his fathers arrogance, his ego, of course. Snape groaned, pinching the spot between his eyes irritatedly. The little twerp.
Evening, Severus, the Headmaster said, walking up alongside him as he exited the Great Hall.
Albus, Snape replied, with a stiff nod.
requiescat -- D.H. SPOILERS...Snape stood unnaturally still, his arms stiff behind his back, clenching and unclenching his sweating hands uncontrollably. He has that blank expression on his face, that look he gets when something very...ugly is about to happen, he thought. He was putting up his most practiced, most unreadable facial expression, but Lord Voldemort narrowed his eyes at him with that...paralyzingly cold, calculating look, that predatory glare: In a moment of irrationality, Snape could have sworn he saw Voldemort's face register a response when his heart lurched suddenly as genuine fear began welling up just beneath the surface. No, he reasoned, the Dark Lord cannot know your heart is racing itself to exhaustion, fool. He saw you glance at Nagini, is all, he thought. Snape tried desperately to maintain the illusion of the faithful and devoted Death Eater, listening carefully--calmly, he reminded himself--torequiescat -- D.H. Sindie Presents a Harry Potter Fanfic:
After All This Time... Always
It was over. Voldemort was dead. Finally.
But Harry was left with a lot of baggage to deal with.
Immediately after the battle had ended, Harry went to Gryffindor Tower, leaving his friends to join in the celebration in the Great Hall. As he entered the common room, he felt like he was stepping back in time. It had been a year since he'd been here. Gazing around the

Those who didn't know what Harry had seen when he looked in the pensieve objected to Snape's burial taking place on Hogwarts grounds, his grave placed next to their beloved headmaster Albus Dumbledore.
Even Ron and Hermione, who Harry had confided in, were a little reluctant to take their friend's side. When not surrounded by students protesting the decision, they were constantly asking him whether he was sure it was what their ex Potions Master would have wanted, or whether perhaps he would have been happier being buried somewhere closer to home?
Hogwarts was his home, the reply would be.
Harry knew that they'd never understand, knew that they wouldn't be able to stop asking until the funeral had actually taken place and the decision became final. He answered their question each time it came with the same patience as he had when it was first posed to him - it see

None of this is mine: Characters belong to JK Rowling, and every bit of DIALOG that occurs within the [brackets] belongs not to me, but to JK Rowling herself.
Anyway, onwards. This is just a oneshot about the other side of the story, not what happens to the living, but to the dead. I poured all of my soul and grief into it, so I hope it's all right.
Two black-haired young men were zooming along on their broomsticks, each fighting to catch the glimmering golden snitch that fluttered just beyond their grasp, their laughter echoing down to the lone figure who was sitting on the deep green grass, laughing lightly at their antics. James was just beginning to wrap his outstretched fingers around the twittering ball when an unexpected but all too familiar

'Open your eyes,' Her voice grabbed ahold of the wind and rode into his ears, filling them with a sound of the past. He almost turned to see her, but knew that she was not there. If he spun in alarm, as had been his reaction the first time her voice had come to him after her death on this very spot, his eyes would rest on a bare expanse of stones piled one on top of the other to form a tower. The only way to see her, the source of the voice, was too close his eyes, so that is what he did.
'Sev! Open Them!' She said again, and he smiled as his eyes opened. He saw nothing initially. It was well past time that they should be out, or perhaps well before time they should be out depending on how one looked at it, especially on top of the Astronomy Tower, but she had asked him to join her, and he had, of course. His eyes began to adjust, he imagined his pupils growing to accommodate for the darkness of the night surrounding him, enveloping him and the girl standing in front of him,

I have trouble understanding why we have to do all this crap in your classroom. How come we never make anything we can eat. I'm hungry. Why do you like to hit people anyway? Well, I got to go to quidditch practice so I won't be complete rubbish this year. Can you do me a favor... just ask Hermione when she raises her hand in class, I'm getting tired of her griping.
Sincerely The Hungry Chaser
Dear Ignorant Boy,
Listen and listen good, I can make potions that will make you rot from the inside out or make you spill every secret from you soul. I hit people to keep them in line if you must know, remind me to hit you tomorrow and you might understand. Miss Granger would do well to hold her tongue and learn not to be an insufferable-know-it-all. Good day. Finish the assignment or its 20 points from Gryffindor.

Snape's EpilogueIt was the purest white he had ever seen. Blinding, almost, yet he was not squinting. In fact, he was not scowling, either. Severus Snapes trademark expression had abandoned him, leaving behind one of tranquility and content. He felt as if the overwhelming gravity that used to pound on his head, furrow his brows, and slouch his shoulders was gone. He felt light, yet stable on what was now soft, dewy grass.Snape's Epilogue8 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
All around him the brilliant white was fading away to reveal a small clearing in a green and luminous forest. There was no sun. Every leaf, every blade of grass, every flower petal seemed to emit its own yellow light. Severus could feel the damp blades between his bare toes, making him aware of his own nakedness. He looked down on his bare arms to find that while he was still pale, his skin had lost its usual sickly pallor. He touched his face, almost surprised to find it still there. He was still a being, still a form. He half expected to be a cloud of dust.
It was complicated

Haunts me still
Where I can never
Be used to the feeling
I once felt,
As shades of the past
Linger in my heart,
Me to go into this dream
Where I can never forget
We once shared,
Where scents of roses
Filled the air
With melancholy despair,
As screams ring out
This affections drought,
While hoping to relive,
I have in my heart,
Where stories never depart
This perpetual maze
Running through my mind,
Hoping to find
Fragments of her
Living in my soul,
Pleading to recall,
As I try to figure out

Silent tears flow from these Angels eyes
All my hopes and dreams have died,
No more light can filter through,
For thoughts of not being with you..
Gone with the wind, amongst the breeze
Are the dreams I had of you and me..
Leaving a broken heart to cry,
Drowning in my tears of Hopes Loss.
This broken soul cries endlessly,
Feeling the pain of what could be.
Even though I should know better..
These feelings I have inside won't die,
I try to keep them locked in place
But there are times they burst forth.
Demanding to be heard,
Needing to be felt.
I remember the words you spoke that fateful day,
That you and me are impossible in so many ways..
Those words that tore at my heart,
Leaving an ache in its wake.
But it still doesn't change the feelings I have for you,
I long to run and hold you close,
Spilling forth all that I feel for you.
I don't though, swallowing it all back inside.
The dream I've had on so many nights
Its still oh sweet, but hauntingly so

A ring he gave in hopes that he
Would win the heart of love to be
But in the wood where trees are dark

The angel that had cursed this love
Had sent the girl some other dove
For when the stranger won her heart
The other's soul was torn apart
And her new love touched her face
Leaving the younger out of place
No one heard him when he cried
Or felt the ring break when love died
For even if she came with love pure
A broken heart simply has no cure

The middle-aged secretary was staring at me from her desk, I could feel it. I took a deep breath and looked at the shining steel toes of my boots, thinking maybe shed get bored of me and look at her typewriter or the fresh coffee stain on the front of her shirt. But she didnt stop. I glanced up to cloudy sapphire eyes with red lines in the whites peering at me over pearlescent-rimmed reading glasses on a rainbow-beaded chain. The scrunched expression of dislike on her puffy face was palpable enough the moment I stepped into the offices, but now, she was just being rude.
My head jerked up and I sneered at her disdainfully. Her face twitched in response and her eyes planted themselves on the desktop. Her cheeks flushed red. I snorted and adjusted my position on the short difficult wood bench.

When Harry kissed Draco, he'd known what his reaction would be. He'd be surprised, of course, immobile for a few seconds because of the shock. Then, eventually, he'd jump back, screaming profanities and streams of insults. Harry would tell him to just shut up, push him closer against the wall, and continue on.

Bloody hands that fought for freedom
Forever gouged into the coffin lid.
She was claustrophobic in life, but
Seemingly even more so in death..
Always so expressive were
Splayed wide open, her last moments
Spent searching for freedom in the dark,
Hungering for air that was
Unattainable six feet below the surface
The cord, attached so delicately
To what was thought to be a corpse
Was found frayed and detached from what lead
To the bell that rest beyond the surface
A bell, so innocent an item,
The life of a child,
Unknowingly buried alive
Begs for your song,
But without the attention
Of an audience
What good is your voice?

Almost very nearly, completely.

you're like my drug.
Last night I almost kissed you;
Your heart did start to panic, didn't it?
