The sun begins to rise and another day is ready to start. Oath Sworn walks down the hallway of Tambelon Castle and to the bedroom of the little princess Starlight. She opens the door and sees the filly still asleep. Oath smiles at how peaceful she looks cuddling Smarty Pants while she sleeps, but has to wake her in order for her to get ready for her first day of school.
"Starlight..." Oath Sworn whispers as she gently nudges the sleeping filly princess, "...it is time to get up and go to-"
The eyes of the little pink pony shoot open and she hops out of bed with her Smarty Pants. She then dashes out of the bedroom, leaving Oath behind...in utter surprise.
Starlight races to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast. But once she gets there, she sees that the chef has already made her a quick meal for her to eat. Since school is starting in less than an hour, she has to get ready as quickly as possible. The little filly sits at the table and eats her bowl of hot oatmeal, alon

"Aaannngeelll!" Fluttershy called out.
Fluttershy was searching around Sugarcube Corner
for her rabbit Angel.
The shy yellow mare had been looking for her best friend all day and now she was really starting to get worried. She had looked all around the woods, asked several ponies if they'd seen him and had even flown up to Cloudsdale to talk to Dash.
"Rainbow Dash," she said, "If um. . .if it's not a problem, could you maybe scan the town for Angel? H-he's been missing all day and "
Rainbow Dash looked at her like she had just said the most absurd thing she had ever heard.
"Uh, Fluttershy?" said Dash.
"I don't think that would help much; I can't see things that well from way up here."
Rainbow Dash paused for a moment. It was a ridiculous idea, but she did love Angel.
"Unless I mean, of course, unless you want me to go get Gilda? She has really good eyes"
Fluttershy quickly cut her off
"Oh! No, that's okay. Thanks anyway...bye"

Chapter 1: An unpected encounter
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville, the bright sun gleamed golden rays upon the town as everypony went through their everyday business, just like any other day but for one particular Pegasus pony, it was a day that will change her life forever. In a cottage at the far end of this peaceful town lived a cream coloured Pegasus pony named Fluttershy. It was a morning just like any other, going through a usual routine that involved taking care of her animal friends. Fluttersly had just finished feeding the bunnies when she suddenly heard some frantic sounding quacks of distress from behind. Fluttershy turned to see what the matter was. Two ducks were running towards her flapping their wings and making a huge racket, clearly something was wrong.

He appeared in her neighborhood in mere minutes but to his discontent they hollow was gone and that orihime was running in his direction from something but he couldn't tell if it was a hollow or not, "Where's the hollow inou-san, and why were you running in my direction?" Ichigo said before fragments of the hollow started to appear from her neighborhood rubble. A strange human looking creature came walking out from the rubble yet it had neither the feeling of either a normal soul or a hollow soul, "What the hell is that thing? Is it an arrancar?" he said before the creature started to run towards him with its claws out and its white skin tightened aiming to slaughter Ichigo when he

Jack landed on a tall hill near Burgess, he couldn’t help but glance back at the lake where this whole journey had started. How had he forgotten something so important to him…?
He shook off the thought and then looked down to his left hand, there about a dozen roses were clenched in his grip. They were all made from ice with a nice dash of snow to cover the sharp edges, he wished that he could do more but these would just have to do. He sighed and then kneeled in front of a stone slab, the slab itself was right in front of an ancient oak tree. And as Jack looked up to it he saw writing all over it, one said: “Sib-...Best...-...Personal annoyance team.”
He couldn’t help but smile, she hadn’t always been the best at names but she had been family. Jack then looked down to the stone slab before he found his voice, “Sorry I missed so much...if I hadn’t opened my big mouth and s

He paused. I had come a long way to this old house in the middle of nowhere to hear the hermits wisdom.
"The world is a big clock full of ants."
Another pause, this one filled with a different kind of tension
"A clock full of ants. We are the ants, obviously. We move around inside a gigantic mechanism, partially maintained by other ants, and we try not to get crushed by the cogs. Forever rolling new cogs into place. Many toil forever in this lightless obscurity. Until they are crushed in their own constructions"
I wouldn't let that be all the answer I received. "Then who built the clock?" I said with forlorn hope.
"The ants did... probably. Though some ants say there was a clock maker and some say clocks just happen. Do you think clocks just happen Jason? Some do. Like hourglasses."
I ignored his question and tried another of my own.
"Why do the ants build the clock?"
"Because that's all they have. And they need a place to live. And they know

"I'm flying!" cried the girl.
She shouted in her heart anyway because all she could do right now was gawk at the rooftops and clothes lines and trees passing below her. She stopped feeling uneasy a while ago, holding on to her companion's hand. It was big, white and strong, its grip firm enough to ease her fears away.
She turned to her right where her new friend was. He looked very strange. His skin was all white. And he had long white hair. Which was nice. She found out he could use it to climb down from the door in the sky. That's where he came from. She thought it was a very strange place to put a door. But he said there was no other way for it.
She wondered why he only had two eyes on his face and nothing much else. His eyes were golden like her hair. And when he looked at her, she saw something familiar in there... in his head. She couldn't figure out what this familiar thing was yet. But she still knew it was there, and fe
Maid Wars Notes 31: Boudoir of the Beast 08Whenever the average human saw a sentient robot, it was almost always engaged in some manner of charitable activity. It wouldn't be unusual to witness one gliding along a dance floor, beside a giddily grateful septuagenarian who had previously resigned herself to never to walk again.Maid Wars Notes 31: Boudoir of the Beast 082 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It would equally be likely to see one playing catch with a young amputee, who would return the robot's mechanically perfect pitches with a pair of vat-grown replacement limbs. And of course, there was the famed viral video of the one robot who got its manipulator joints caught, when it tried to demonstratively run its appendage through the curly, silken locks of a former male pattern baldness sufferer.
The name the robots provided, upon their introduction to a curious humanity, would translate roughly to the term, "benefactor", but even if it didn't, such a name would have eventually been coined for them, due to the sheer magnitude of their noble work
Shield MaidenCamilla charged up the curving staircase, the sound of her heavy boots against the thick stone resounding through the tight confines. Leading the way, holding tight to her shield in one hand and the handle of her sharp axe in the other, she could not see Arianna, her shield sister, though she knew that her fellow maiden was there by her side instinctively. Theyd been together as long as either could remember, and had been fighting side by side since the day they were old enough for instruction by the Order. Arianna had knelt by Camillas bedside for three days, praying to the All-Father for his blessing, when the plague had nearly taken her. Hiding in plain sight within the stronghold of her enemies, there was only one place where Captain Maria Elizabeth Shelley could ever be herself. "Debbie", the civilian orbital transport that she had "miraculously" piloted--while maidified and bound--to within detection range of the Sherwood Cluster, and AMAZON's primary base of operations, had become in many ways, her home away from FMP.
Debbie was a whimsical appellation, given to the craft by Shelley, in honor of Debbie Wilkins, the oft-ligatured character she portrayed eons ago on her ancient Debutante Detective serials.
It was mildly annoying that none of the soldiers of the Anti Maidification Army she had now successfully infiltrated had the slightest inkling of the significance of the name, but it was just as well. The series was filmed and screened all of eight

Assassination on Koat IV
The building the ground-car dropped Lieutenant Helen Pierce off at was not very impressive; a small, squat brick of concrete and glass tucked in one corner of the large naval base. Certainly not what one might expect for the headquarters of MASA intelligence for the Kieto Sector. Fittingly for such a place, the unassuming building was only the tip of the iceberg. The bulk of the building was actually deep underground in a secure bunker.
The sharp clicking of Helen’s heels against the marble floor echoed in the large lobby as she entered, crossing a large mosaic of the seal of the Multinational Aerospace Space Armada. At the other end of the lobby seated at a long desk was a bored looking security guard. Like the building he worked in, the man’s plain uniform conceals quite a bit. Few would realize the guard was a multi-decorated veteran with three tours of combat duty in the MASA Conquistadors, the fleet&

The baronial chamber featured a miniature duplicate statue of the "Man meets Husquon" sculpture that adorned the center of the main campus mall. The room also boasted three globes in a trio of large round wooden armatures. One was of Athena, the planet upon which OLoCL was erected. One was of the planet Mars--barren and red--as it appeared pre-colonization. The third was also of Mars, but post human occupation, with its sweeping patches of blue and green. How can something so beautiful
Become so corrupt
A strange metamorphosis
Watch the petals unfold
The sweet breath caress them
As the curl and wither
Fall crisp to the ground
Setting the fragrance of death and decay
When stepped upon by her feet
See the way her eyes gaze about
Seeing but blind
Not able to see past without
The loss of hope
The fear of what is to come
The frightened child forever more
Holding in her hands a bouquet of roses
Each bud blooming slowly
One after another
The petals turning brown
Turning as dried blood
With each breath
Each tear drop
As she walks ever foward
Not seeing the eyes that caress her form
As she passes them by
The scarred beauty
Eyes of blue splashed with golden specks and green streaks
The auburn hair falling in wet curls about her
The rain from above drenching her
Walking ever foward still
The roses bloom and die
Drift to the ground beneath her feet
Releasing that sweet scent
Sinister Moon - Part 2The cool night air rushed by Derrick as he raced alongside the shuddering metal behemoth, his legs pumping. Its scents overwhelmed him; burning coal and acrid smoke laced, almost imperceptibly amid the cacaphony, with that which he sought. Driven by a desire to match the speed of this creation of man, he threw himself forward into the task with abandon. His brothers were close. He could feel them behind him, though their closeness began to fade as he gave himself over to the thrill of the hunt.Sinister Moon - Part 26 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
And then he was in the air, diving for the ladder on the side of a boxcar. His claw squeeled along its rusted wall before it struck the ladder, and then it was a human hand with fingers that tightly clutched a rung. He hit the side of the car hard, the impact of his back to the rusty-blue metal leaving a dent in the inanimate and an ache in the living. Derrick managed to retain his grip on the ladder, and pulled himself up onto it.

From Prin's days as a Greenskirt:
On a routine patrol, her rifle squad would encounter a small BeeDub unit, roving around on its own in the field. The other members of the squad are taken in by its innocuous little noises and beeps and its charming facial expressions. The women shoulder their weapons and kneel over the little drone like school girls over a stray cat.
There is even talk of adopting it.
"Are you lost, little guy?"
Then suddenly, Prin impales the intelligent device with her trusty Jet Knife, and raises her rifle.

Brian King was the first to emerge, creeping out of a back alley and leaning against the wall of the general store. He dug into a pocket, fished out a battered pack of cigarettes and a dented silver petrol lighter. The snick of the flint broke the silence and the momentary burst of flame lit Brian's face, his dark eyes glowing red for a moment, shadowy stubble becoming visible. Then the flame faded to a glowing ember and the darkness was almost complete again.
