To grate my nails down your spine,
Rip the skin, make you bleed,
Hurt you, twist you,
Force you to see me,
I won't hold my breath
To rip your eyes out,
Since you don't seem to see me,
Pull, harder and harder,
Until they pop out,
And I can see into your mind,
I wonder if anything's in there?
To kick you on the backs of your knees,
Make you stumble, fall
Frightening, isn't it,
To feel such fear,
To feel weak?
You should have thought about that,
A long fucking time ago
To break you,
Like you thought you broke me
But you were wrong,
You didn't see me, the real me
I was more cunning,
Than you could have ever dreamed,
Than you would have ever believed
To watch you fail miserably,
As you try to explain,
The choices that YOU made,
As you attempt to come up with reasons,
And pointless excuses
To pay you back,
Ten thousand times,
For all the grief you have caused me

Pairing: Albel x Fayt.
Series: Star Ocean 3.
Rating: 13+ (suggestive/sexual imagery).
"Albel! Why is it so hot here?!" Fayt demanded, flopped down on the floor with a paper fan, desperately trying to cool himself.
Albel looked him over tastefully, ever the master of opportunity.
"Poor little worm," he shrilled, standing over the boy as if to provide him with the shade of his tall thin shadow.
The sun was beating down on them, waves of heat swirling around the dunes. Even with their magical accessory- the dunes of Mosel were unbearable. Albel's choice of clothing was paying off for once.
Meanwhile- with his clumpy gear and thick nylon white shirt- Fayt was baking in the high temperatures.
As Fayt fell back in exhaustion, Albel cackled.
"This isn't funny Albel! Why are we even here?!" Fayt demanded. "I can't believe you dragged me out into the middle of no where! And for what? To die of heat stroke?!" he complained.
Albel rolled his eyes.

Amazingly, you paid my bail
And took me home from jail.
My God, you had me cleaned and fed
And brought my soul back from the dead;
You bought me food, a comfy bed.
Considering amounts spent,
I am your very bestest friend.
I trembled under gentle touch,
Who knew that I could feel so much.
You like to hug, you like to talk,
You like to take me for a walk.
My happiness and joy abound.

For the entire war in Iraq, the press has been kept largely in the dark concerning the number of civilians killed by our forces, and what happened in the aftermath. Now several hundred files posted online reveal some of the true horror while raising questions about lack of compensation.
Here you will find, for example, that when the U.S. drops a bomb that goes awry, lands in an orchard, and does not detonate -- until after a couple of kids go out to take a look -- our military does not feel any moral or legal reason to compensate the family of the dead child because this is, after all, broadly speaking, a "combat situation."
Also: What price (when we do pay) do we place on the life of a 9-year-old boy, shot by one of our soldiers who mistook his book bag for a bomb satchel? Would you believe $500? And when we shoot an Iraqi journalist on a bridge we shell out $2500 to his widow -- but why not the measly $5000 she had requested?

Think. Don't Know.Certainty is a plague. Avoid it at all costs. Don't be certain, ever; think, don't know. Don't ever just accept something, follow the evidence. Don't just accept there is evidence, study it, experience it firsthand, if possible. Think. Society stabilizes through doubt, not certainty, knowing leads to not trying, not learning. Knowing isn't really knowing, it's a combination of faith and apathy. Thinking is security, a blend of skepticism and activism, curiosity and caring, initiative and interaction. Don't just trust, justify rationally, and rationalize justly. Trust is good, only if it is trustworthy. Don't just know, think.

Twas the nightmare before Christmas, screams rang through the house.
The creatures were amassing, shedding much body louse.
The dungeon was clean and shiny but none had a care,
For the tables with their straps, they still lay bare.
Unsuspecting victims curled up tight in their beds,
Unknowing of the chances a monster may take their heads.
Im at the front my shiny new whip around my waist does wrap.
My friends from the dungeon, ready to spring the trap.
Our rush outside is so fast the streetlights just shatter.
All animals in the area in justified fear simply scatter.
You can hear the Lycans pant and see their teeth gnash.
The Vampyres take flight in quite a mad dash.
All manner of creatures abound some of them even glow.
A few mythical beasts, whose only purpose is to cause mayhem and woe.
A myriad of beasties but every single one to a code they adhere.
For on this night we torture and maim enough to instill

For the unborn children she knows will never come:
The worm that rots the apple of her eye.

The holding hours.
These are the Holding Hours,
But they are not for you.
Infested to the core,

Keeping a rythm in her feet:
tap, tap, trip-tumble-flap.
A rushing sensation
Of ground hard against her ass.
Laughing and stumbling along
To the bedroom.
Covered in flowing red scarves that make her feel beautiful...
I see right through you.
We all die alone
In the Holding Hours.
The bed of truth awaits her.

The meaning of life.. + death? What is the meaning of life? The meaning of life.. + death?7 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
This is a very good question. Many believe that life has no meaning, that it's all a big joke and we should laugh at it. Ha dee ha ha.
Others believe that life has a very deep significance. For example there is a random God and he put us on Earth as a sort of trial rather than us going to Heaven directly.
A few others believe that the meaning of life is 42.
After many years of deep thought and meditation on this subject, I have come to the startling conclusion that all of the above are in fact wrong, ie life is neither a joke nor a trial from God nor 42, but simply a state of being where if one is not dead, one is alive and is therefore living and that's the meaning of life.
However, this line of thought has lead to an even deeper question which is:
What is the meaning of death?
This is a much more difficult question than the meaning of life. One might think it's a state of being where one is not alive and therefore dead, but if you're

This feeling I have longed after for so long
Raven saturated locks ebbing and flowing with the wind
Starlight betraying the true nature of your beautiful hair
However raven like in the dark, but ever radiant in the day
A spring day
Lazily wandering through daisies, I watch you from afar
You know I am there, but you wait for me to make my move
And wasn't it you, love, who told me to make the first move?
The one who told me I was the one who had to engage you
Tell you how I feel
How the beauty of nature compliments your pretty face
And Lo! how you shine in such light
The moon's light cannot hold grace unto you
The sun's brightness cannot outshine your eyes
And oh those eyes.
How those gems gleam so radiant and with such love
The love I wish to feel, if you will only let me near
Past times have left me scarred
But your glow heals all wounds and keeps the demons at bay
If I only was as close as the wind upon your hai

Yet, here I am, my eyes, fixed on her stillness. You know, the first time we met, it was just the same. She was staring off into some Warhol display at the art gallery. Sometimes I think thats why I married her for this serenity. I fell in love with her absence that fleshy shell while she slept, turned away, or wandered off into the ether but once she came back to the land of the conscious, she was just just another woman. Maybe I should have waited a hundred more years or bought

"Who are you?" he muttered, trying to convince himself his eyes were lying,
"Come out so I can see you!"
A dark chuckle, cold and echoing, fluttered about his ears as the figure began to slide it's way into the fading light of sunset. Boots, soleless and black, were the first to appear, coming to just below the knee, simply laced. The torso that began to appear was terribly familiar, and Sonic could feel his ears folding backwards in worry. It couldn't possibly be.
Dark fur, black as a starless night, coated nearly every inch of the figure that crept from the darkness, contrasted sharply by a bright white splash at the base of the throat. The hands were bare, five long slender fingers gracing each, and beneath the fur were the spidery silver lines of a dozen or so scars. Along the side of each arm and thigh burned crimso
