To be as a GreekIf I had the chance,To be as a Greek11 years ago in Open More Like This
I would become a Greek.
Not a modern Greek,
but an ancient Greek,
the ones who loved life.
They celebrated life
and being human.
The greatest thing to them
was just getting to see another day.
But that's not how people are now.
If you do not like how you are
you can go to a doctor
and have your body mutilated.
You can add and subtract things from yourself
to find the perfect product
that nature did not give you.
Everyone is depressed.
Twelve year-old children
run around dressed in black
If you no longer want to live,
you can just end your life,
cheating yourself of what the Greeks loved.
People, too young to know what life is
and what real problems are,
are depressed by miniscule things.
What a waste of precious life some people are!
What a strange world we have become!
If I had the chance,
I would become a Greek.

A hug can say a single word

A hug can tell everything
A hug can tell not a word
A hug is all of these and more
A hug is all I yearn

It's funny the things you miss when they're gone
You'd do just about anything to just get back what you once had
Nothing else you thought mattered holds weight to the once was
I remember the days of my childhood where summer vacation was a trip to the zoo
Time spent over night at a friends without a school night
Lazy days of soap operas and riding the bike down the block
Knowing what time to get home by the position of the sun in the sky
Not because a clock deemed it so
I miss those days
I remember the summer my brother and I travelled with my dad
Hopping from beach to beach selling sailboards
Getting up early and eating drive thru from McDonalds
I remember how much better the egg McMuffins tasted at 6 am
Though I doubt they changed the recipe
I remember when the battery in the van died and I wondered if we'd be stranded
Out in the middle of no where as far as I knew
The way things used to be, when a dead battery was the biggest problem of the day
We were still together, without the re
Character Sketch - JulianCharacter Sketch - Julian8 years ago in Horror More Like This
The vampire Julian walks through a storm, and where he’ll end up inside of it is a mystery. Will he stay in the eye of the tempest today and be gentle and silent and kind? Or will he live on the edge, in wind, rain, and blood, consumed by a sharp and ruthless lust for a beating heart to call his own? Alas, they are stopped dead when he reaches in to hold them close, and so he gains nothing. For him all is ruin: broken toys and forgotten figures of glass and stone. He keeps these things within the storm to remind him of his own existence, of years nearly passed out of memory. Gray skies stain everything the color of death to put his soul at ease.
