"Parting wetly, his lips shone, desirous-"
Rapture in words, then the sudden blue death.
Of course. Pages of gold, wiped by virus,
Computers crash, spiteful, luck of Macbeth.
Rev up the machine, start typing anew,
And find inspiration as dry as Tolkien.
Stay writing! It's been worth it hitherto….
Take a short break to refill on caffeine.
Interesting. three hours dead online.
Not to worry, no, don't whine.
An hour passes, and you sense decline.
Tears fall. You know you're doomed: once the work stops
Illusion of progress remains, but you,
Outcast, are doomed to life with rags and mops,
Now, forever literary taboo.
Lady of DreamsLady of Dreams9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I raised my hand to the sky
covered the sun,
drowned the world in twilight.
I tightened moonlit spider webs
to suffocate the fish
in the bulging seawater.
I rewrote the forests,
called them dry and sandy,
caught the deer with thirst.
I spun clouds and dragons
for the sky, chimeras for the deserts
kraken for the seas.
Tomorrow, I will grow weary of them,
but in this dusk of an age
I still dream and weave magic.
ForbiddenThe hatred of those around meForbidden9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Because of how I choose to love
Shunned from family and friends
Just because I dare to be different
Funny how it's preached to do so
But when you do
Society demands you to mold to their idea of love
I suppose we all do supress secret feelings
In a desperate plea to fit in
A mediocre creation of my grey surrounding
No true definition of character and dreams
Well gone are those days
As I break this idea of what is expected to be "love"
And I choose to be who I am
Rather than struggle to live up to your ideals for me
As I remain heartbroken
I do apologize I broke the frame you so desparately hoped I'd fit in
But I must be me
Who I am

the night crept
through the sky, gripped the moon
with clawed hands. she danced
in the black.
the night shook her hair
out to the earth. locks fell
with twisting shards and she laughed
barking and hoarse.
the cats crouched
under overturned bins,
under the black sky.
Blame PhysicsWhen I say I love youBlame Physics9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I don't really love you
I love the way you make me feel
The chemical reactions you produce in my brain
It drives me insane the way you… smell
It's so subconscious and subtle
Except when it's gone
It's all I notice
Like a black hole
Absorbing all other thoughts but you
Reminding me every moment how
You don't make me feel
Something in my brain clicked
I've smelled your smell once too many
I don't get the same rush I used to
You don't make me feel
