.....I'm sorry, WHAT?!
As you guys know by now, I've just recently finally got around to playing Star Wars- KoTOR for the first time, and I love this game. I'm not going to repeat myself much, though. I want to talk abut someone in particular... Juhani, the Cathar.
I'm going to be honest. Juhani is probably my favorite companion character in the game. HK-47 is an EXTREMELY close second, and I can't get enough of the guy, but as far as the other characters go, I just latched onto Juhani more. When Bastilla and Carth (wearing Mandalorian armor) weren't tagging along, HK-47 and Junahi (weilding a double-bladed purple lightsaber) were.
There's a lot of things I love about the characters in this game. How could I forget listening to Canderous' amazing war stories, resolving Zalbaar's troubled history with his family, or helping Carth find the only family he has left? I actually really like most of the char
So... about the Star Wars EU being shit-canned...(on a side note, I'm afraid I won't be able to finish chapter 9 today. Hopefully, it'll be online tomorrow.)So... about the Star Wars EU being shit-canned...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Recently, I finally got around to playing Star Wars- Knights of the Old Republic. It has quickly become MY FAVORITE STAR WARS GAME, if not one of my... like, top 10 favorite games in general, right up there with Sonic 3K, Metroid Prime, Super Mario World, Mega Man X and the like. Yeah, I enjoyed it THAT much. As an adventure, I find it more enjoyable than... well, a lot of stuff.
To quote TJ in his "TheDistressedWatcher" reviews of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, "It doesn't give us a new perspective on the original trilogy. It actually makes the Star Wars universe a smaller and pettier place."
(For the record, in spite of all their many faults and things in them that are cringeworthy, the prequel films are still something of a guilty pleasure for me.)
However, KoTOR did something the prequels did not. It made the Star Wars universe a BIGGER and more amazing, fantastical so

"Right now there aren't any plans to include Clone Wars characters like Ahsoka or Rex in the new series." ~ Dave Filoni
I am wondering if there is an implied notion that the only canon will be what Disney wants.
The EU is apparently going to be a source for "inspiration" rather than any kind of gospel. Plus, I had noticed in several blogs and interviews with Filoni that when asked about future stories of Clone Wars characters, he has cryptically commented that this would be a chance for fans to "Write the stories themselves".
Maybe my imagination is unjustified in assuming, but I'm beginning to wonder if Disney is scrapping Clone Wars from any sort of official canon as well as the EU. Dave has stated that there will be no connection between Clone Wars characters and Rebels, and there are no hints of any stories being concluded except with the Darth Maul Arc in Dark Horse comics.
All Hail Chris Avellone!Look what I found on Wookiepedia. I've never seen this quotes before, and though Wookiepedia I know isn't always a 100% true, knowing Chris, he probably did say all this....All Hail Chris Avellone!8 years ago in Personal More Like This
I love Chris Avellone. He cracks me up XD.
"It's pretty typical for the Dark Side to take it "out of you," so to speak, making you look ravaged, dessicated, or whatever. Hell, by the time Palpatine becomes the Emperor, he's been using the Dark Side for a looooong time. They might as well have named him Darth Cadaverous.*
Then again, judging by Yoda, using the light side a lot doesn't seem to help your complexion any.

Finished the Grand Admiral Thrawn Trilogy.Damn, that was just amazing. I think the ending could have been a bit better (with what happens to Thrawn and what not) but the rest is just a great read for any Star Wars fan. Whatever is declared canon/non-canon, whatever Disney and JJ Abrams will do with the new trilogy, nothing will beat these 3 books. THESE are the true sequels to the original Star Wars Trilogy forever. Timothy Zahn, thank you for writing these stories. I'll treasure them forever.
