Collaborative Deviations: A DiscussionCollaborative Deviations: A Discussion3 months ago in DeviantArt Announcements More Like This
A common request from deviants is to post collaborative deviations, where more than one deviant has worked to create the end product. In our recent Top Community Feature Requests and Our Responses journal, we briefly addressed why we haven’t yet undertaken collaborative deviations. However, we want to open a discussion around how collaborations could theoretically work, so that we can better understand the community’s desires for such a feature.
Simple vs. Complex
We've already put a fair amount of thought into collaborations, but don't want to make assumptions about around how deviants would use the feature to best serve their needs. From simple to complex, there are a number of ways we could implement collaborations and we’re interested to hear the community’s expectations.

While I appreciate every single comment I get, I'm afraid that these wars are going to discourage people from commenting at all, and this is putting me in a very tight spot between "warring" parties, since I am on both "sides".Read this if you comment on my uploads please.3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Because I don't want people to keep getting hurt on account of me, I offer the following suggestions that you can take or leave:
1) Please remember that everything you post here, or elsewhere on the internet, is fully public and view-able to ANYONE. And, if you haven't noticed, my submissions get quite a lot of views. With several thousand people looking at each thing I put up here, you have to realize that not everyone will share your views. I'm not the only one who reads all of the comments I get.
2) That said, please refrain from throwing out broad, sweeping generalizations or stereotypes about people, situations, or opinions. All
ABJD's offical stanceAlright guys, you know how rarely we use ABJD as a soapbox. We do, however, have some subjects near and dear to our heart here. Bullying is one of them. It's come to our attention that this is going on openly in the BJD hobby lately. Threats have been made against people who have done nothing wrong. Adults who should know better are acting incredibly childishly. I can't say for sure if the situation involves any of our members or not, and to be honest I don't care. Let me make something clear:ABJD's offical stance3 years ago in Personal More Like This
We love dolls and we love the creativity that comes from them in all forms. We more or less only accept Asian dolls because of that little "A" up there, but personally we collect and make all kinds of things.
We do not care:
- if you have a Soom or a Bobobie
- if you are pro-recast or anti-recast
- if you collect only BJDs or collect everything
- if you are 80 or 13 (younger than that what are you doing on DA?)
- if monster high dolls have balljoints or not
- if your faceup/mod is stu

Irn-Bru: now illegal in Canada.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-25867613Irn-Bru: now illegal in Canada.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Irn Bru is made from girders, the Scots claim. And I believe them.
The alarmingly coloured liquid is “Scotland’s other national drink” after the obvious Whiskey. It’s been produced since 1901 and is now illegal in Canada because it contains Ponceau 4R, a food colourant that is considered a carcinogenic be some food standard agencies around the world. One which may cause a reaction in those allergic to aspirin and intensify the effects of asthma. Even the USA, who are generally happy to eat anything, insisted the formula be altered before sale within its borders, and even then it can only be purchased in 500ml bottles out of the fear that any greater intake will result in someone dissolving.
“Irn Bru” is the phonetically written pronunciation of “Iron Brew”, as said with the collective speech impediment that is the Scottish accent (the result of collapsed nasal passages due to centuries of

I believe that Minecraft is the future of massive multiplayer games, and I'm surprised that none of the big developers/publishers have cottoned onto it yet.
They look at Minecraft and think its success is down to its business model, or to its blocky, retro charm.
It's down to the fact that you get out of it what you put into it.
With a MMORPG, there are pre-scripted quests. With Minecraft, you set the quests yourself or others.
User created content is the key. All you have to do is provide the players with the tools to build.
There are two types of gamer: wall builders and wall breakers.
Wall builders are the ones that spend an age in an RTS game getting their base just right. They play SimCity and act as Dungeon Master during an RPG.
Wall breakers are the type to follow the mission brief. They get set a quest and they follow it. They're the Call of Duty crowd and they're never more happy than when
JaidenAnimations FAQGot a question? It's probably here. Well, maybe.. There's a good chance.JaidenAnimations FAQ4 months ago in Personal More Like This
1. What do you use to animate?
-- I use Adobe Flash for animation
2. What do you use to draw?
-- I used to use Paint Tool Sai, but I'm transitioning over to FireAlpaca (which is free to download if you want to try it). But I love both programs!
3. Will you make me an animation/channel banner/profile picture?
-- No, I'm too busy.
4. What tablet do you use to draw and animate?
-- I use an Intuos Pro (medium), but if you're looking for a nice beginner tablet, the cheapest Wacom tablet you can find is probably the best lol
5. When's your next animation coming out?
-- I don't know. It takes time and I'm normally balancing two animations at once (one for the JaidenAnimations channel and one for Cupquake) Just know that I want to upload as often as I can, and I'm working on it.
6. Do you take commissions?
-- I really want to take drawing commissions in the future

I've found a certain value in doing these wallpacks in themes as opposed to just one big download of various graphics at the end of each year. I found that it really brought a certain level of polish and cohesiveness to the packs, as evidenced by the Drowned Harbor wallpack. It also helps serve as a point of inspiration and focus/North Star throughout the process.
The theme of this wallpack is "symbolism" and it's effect and/or control over us. Everything from religious symbolism to superstitions to occult to symbolism around death and the afterlife and so on.
I tried to cover this theme without being too brash or obvious. I wanted

I stopped having time to do tag journals long ago () but I'll take a break from my SFM project to do this thing before it's too late....... might as well get the badge, lol. This will be a trip down memory lane!! If you are easily made jealous, it'd be best to skip this now, since this will be about me and my journey on DA.
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've browsed DeviantArt for about 10 years, but I officially registered 7 years ago on Aug 19, 2008. Back then, browsing through search results was different. It was just a certain number of pictures per page, rather than the continuous scrolling thing now. If you had an account, you could display more images per page (up to 128) so that made things easier. However, by the time I got around to finally registering...... DeviantArt moved that option to Premium Members (R.I.P.) only. I've had a lovely relationship with DA s
Leaving... going offline, vacation, stuffWhen I started here on DeviantArt 6 months ago, I had one goal: to make friends and to make people's lives better through whatever means I could. As a Christian, it is part of my dream to be able to share love with others the way Jesus first showed it to me.Leaving... going offline, vacation, stuff3 months ago in Personal More Like This
I've loved Five Nights at Freddy's from the start, and probably the main reason is because the fandom is so large that there are a LOT of great people who I've met because of it. Things were manageable at first, and were going great until I downloaded Source FilmMaker.
SFM was just supposed to be a little hobby of mine on the side, because I always wanted to be able to express myself through art. I cannot draw for my life. I can imagine things, but my hand cannot print them out... if you know what I mean. But, SFM was the perfect tool to bring my characters.... and myself... to life. I had no idea that my art would reach so many people and spread so fast.
It wasn't long before I got stretched too thin, with over 3000 watchers

I was going to upload the picture before anyone else did, but I decided against it for reasons you might or might not understand. So, why not just post it here instead.
I'll upload something else instead. Thanks Scott for once again interrupting my SFM plans lol.... I've been "out" of things again, but I was trying to get right with myself... and this shows up.
I have no feelings right now, but I will say that it is really strange to see the FNAF1 characters from Scott again.... it's the first time since this entire fandom started!!
There's nothing hidden in the picture, but it's cool to see them all like this, together, again. And it sure really shows how bad our 3D models are, lol. I'll see what I can do.
I am personally not under the impression that it's all over, but either way, I'm here to stay
UTTPOkay guys, I've been noticing that these idiots called the Utube Troll Police have been at it these past days!UTTP5 months ago in Personal More Like This
All I've been hearing is that the UTTP are gonna attack popular FnaF Artists, destroy the fandom, ruin things, hack, whats up with that??
Now they've decided to attack one of the most popular fandoms!
Unfortunately, some of my friends have already been targeted by them like Zharia :iconsarahhedgehog1:
I haven't been targeted yet, thank god.
Let's all help my friends and as well as myself safe from them.
I think they're not gonna target me because I have so many people that will protect me and back me up, right? XD
Let's all help eachother!

SOPA, Hypocrisy, Scandal, DMCA, and CensorshipMissing The PointSOPA, Hypocrisy, Scandal, DMCA, and Censorship4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been disappointed to see the various responses to SOPA, especially the "DEVIATION CENSORED" images. They so completely miss the point that I can only assume the people posting them have absolutely no comprehension of what SOPA means, why it's a problem, and what they're actually protesting against.
First off, SOPA is not about censorship. Unfortunately, many of the opponents of SOPA decided to cast it as being about censorship in order to mobilize public opinion. Why did they do that? Unfortunately, they did that for two reasons: 1) they knew that without mobilizing mass support, the bill would go through and 2) they knew that the masses they wanted to get support from simply don't care/understand the real problem enough to do anything - because the truth is much to complicated for the typical internet user. I have some sympathy for that view, because I've discovered over and over again that copyright is, in fact, too complicated for the typi

And why can't Scott just announce his own news himself????
I guess that's why the teasers stopped having the Halloween date on them lol
Maybe the teaser will be cool though.
Since I haven't seen anyone talk about/mention this in the comments, have this:
That is Scott's official upload page for the teasers, which he always uploads there a lot later than his personal website, and which reveal more information.
And the title of the picture is "8815"... August 8th, 2015.
Now, of course this could mean that anything might happen on that date. Maybe he'll release a troll game, who knows. Bu

"Maya, do you HAVE to type that stupid report so loudly?!" Melanie moaned, removing her headphones and hanging them on her neck.
"First off Mel, laptops are loud, deal with it. And second, I'm not typing a report," I reply as I give her a skeptical look.
"Then WHAT are you doing?" She demands.
"Entering us in a contest," I reply, not taking my eyes off of the screen.
"What type of contest?" Melanie asks suspiciously.
"I am entering you and me in a contest to meet Markiplier and get a tour of his new home!" I say, anticipating her reaction. Her eyes grow as big as dinner plates. She drops her phone and headphones on the ground, not taking any notice to the fact that it shattered into a million pieces. She grabs me by the collar of my shirt and stares directly into my eyes.
"WE.HAVE.TO.WIN!!" She growls menacingly into my ear.
"Well, we can TRY," I say as I turn back to my laptop. "Based on past experiences, we probably won't win. I just entered this for the hell
