Zayne's Nightmare The engines roared as Zayne buzzed past another slow-moving speeder and turned the corner of a hospital. His meeting had ended in disaster; Gryph had wired the barrels of fuel in his warehouse to detonate via remote, Just in case someone got too curious he heard the Snivvian say. Well, Zayne was too curious. His hair flapped wildly as he turned another corner. The sun was setting, and the Jedi Tower was at last in view. The temple stood among the other buildings, nothing seemingly out of the ordinary, save for the tall spire in its center and the large spotlights pointing at its tip. The circular room was a myriad of displays on which the operator could see everything happening on the ship. At the moment, more than a dozen screens displayed the laboratory in which their newly recovered scientist picked at his work, tools spread all over the table.
He is not happy, my Lord, Eejee, the Duro operating the ship's entire surveillance, said coldly.
He does not need to be happy. Now, he has motivation. That will be quite enough, I believe, murmured the young Lord Adasca in response.
Once again, his eyes were drawn to the far display at the corner of his view. Eejee's hovering chair turned in mid-air, the Duro's dark, insensitive eyes scrutinizing his master. Adasca knew his servant was wondering as he did why he could not retract his gaze from the young, alabaster-skinned young woman there.
She is well confined, my Lord. You gave her the royal starboard suite, I noticed.
Yes, Adasca mur

"If you wanted to do that Ky, you could've just told me!" Ann quickly snatched a couple of Gizka as they were bounding away, "Now all we need to do is find a bucket. Oh, I bet there's one-"
"No Ann!" A look of horror dawned on her face as Ann tried to hand the squirmy beasts to her, "I'm fine! Really."
Ann looked up at the frightened tone in her friend's voice.
"Go get the bucket Ann," Kezar smirked, his arms folded, "I'm suuure she'd just love it."
Ky's eyes narrowed, her hair spiking again, "Want me to break your nose too? You and Shan would make a great busted couple Zep!"
Kezar's smirk fell, "You BROKE her nose?"
Ann dropped the Gizka, her eyes wide.
Ky nodded, "And I'll do worse if she ever causes Ann trouble again!"
"You'd make a real nice Wampa, you know that?" Kezar started to walk off, "Maybe even a feral Wookie with the way you tend to rage about!"
Ky's sopping hair calmed, save a few spikes as Kezar stalked off, "At least I don't resemble one."

Jedi Meliea Lorn swallowed her frustration and recited the Jedi code in her head to keep calm. She left the council chambers smoothly; the only hint at her angry disappointment was the dangerous flash of her amber brown eyes. How was she going to break the news to Mical? He would be crushed. She made a momentary stop at the kitchens before continuing on to the gardens where Mical was waiting for her.
Meliea had only been seven when the boy was brought to the Dantooine Jedi Enclave in the company of Master Vrook, dragging a dirty blanket. He'd been a precocious and adorable two-year-old, with large shining eyes and a dimpled chin. Meliea had taken it upon herself to care for the boy and he'd followed her around ever since. Mical was a bright and capable youngling now, and Meliea had wanted so much to take him on as Padawan. Now that was no longer an option. Meliea's decision to follow Revan had cost her more than she'd ever imagined possible.
As she entered the garden, the burbling s

Under Kreia's careful tutelage, her lost connection to the Force was reforming. It was odd, though; instead of reaching out around her and pulling the Force through herself, as she'd always done, now she was reaching into the dark maw of her lost Force ability and drawing the power out of…something. She didn't know what. Kreia knew something she wasn't telling her, but that was a conversation for another time. For now she reveled in the mind chatter of her companions. Ju'lis had thought she would never be able to touch another's mind again, and here were several open minds waiting for her to caress. She needed these connections, this friendship; after so long in exile, she hungered for love and acceptance.

We come together today to remember a fallen soul. One who died in service to country, fulfilling the obligations placed upon him/her by his/her duty. It is not our place to attempt to justify the meaning of his/her death, but to pay respect to him/her by conducting ourselves with honor in his/her memory. We do not seek to exalt ourselves, but to remain humble and dignified as we observe these solemn and sacred proceedings.
The war front which claimed this precious life still seeks to bring pain and despair to his/her loved ones. It is not a war of guns and bombs, but of vicious words and undesirable behavior. Today we come as part of a mighty host, to use our God-given rights as decent human beings to fend off the baying hounds of discord and dishonor. We pray to the Almighty that their malevolent efforts may work to benefit the cause of nobility and fidelity, as we stand and act as shields for these good people. To allow such shameful and despicable displays of false zeal to take plac

You can keep your Navy Blue,
I have the world's best fighting man,
To introduce to you.
His uniform is different,
The best you've ever seen.
The German's call him "Devil Dog"
His real name is "Marine".
He was born on Parris Island,
The place where God forgot.
The sand is eighteen inches deep
The sun is blazing hot.
He gets up every morning,
Before the rising sun.
He 'll run a hundred miles and more,
Before the day is done.
He's deadly with a rifle,
A bayonet made of steel.
He took the warriors calling card,
He's mastered how to kill.
And when he gets to heaven,
St. Peter he will tell,
One more Marine reporting sir,
I've served my time in Hell.
So listen all you young girls,
To what I have to say
Go find yourself a young Marine,
To love you every day.
He'll hug you and he'll kiss you,
And treat you like a queen.
There is no better fighting man:
THE UNITED STATES MARINE!

Bao-Dur materialized from the shadows, his face an intricate mask of black and blood-red tattoos. "Something must be done, before the General hears what he says about her."
Mical shivered; it was as though Bao-Dur had read his mind. "Stop just appearing like that. And you are right. Master Akuji is wasting her valuable time training him, and he doesn't take her seriously. She would have more time to train us, if he were…absent."

Scars. His eyes inventoried the scrapbook on his flesh. Blaster, shock stick, dagger, stiletto, vibroblade, broken bottle from a Pazaak game gone bad, whip, lightsaber quite a few of those, piece of metal protruding from the hull of the Hawk those were the most prominent, but the worst was the newest one.
The newest was added one month, thirteen days - he glanced at the chrono - seven hours ago. He ran his fingers lightly over the angry, jagged redness. It wouldn't heal.

There are 3 topics which we will be discussing today (or tonight, whereever you live) Unanswered Questions, What the Crap happened in Sozin's comet, and How everything that was built up was thrown away.
First off, I am going to adress the one thing that everyone is talking about...

Day 1: Mask
Today was a rotten day, Zuko decided. One of those days that you just want to end already because there's no hope for it. You woke up and life just started throwing the worst it had at you.
Zuko's day had thus far included a servant dumping hot soup in his lap during breakfast followed by his latest proposal being rejected for no good reason, and topped off by more completely unreasonable demands from the Earth Kingdom for war reparations.
The Fire Lord skimmed a report about the national budget. Debt from war. Debt to Earth Kingdom for their ridiculous war reparations. (Intense psychological damage to a bear? He was supposed to shell out money for compensation for the emotional damage of a bear? It was a bear!)
To top this all off, Zuko could tell his body was rundown. He was tired to the core, a bone-aching weariness that he couldn't shake even with eight hours of sleep. A headache pulsing in his temples, the white of the

The many murals of the Western Air Temple were wonderful to admire. Katara had made sure to take time out of each day she'd spent there to look them over. Today, she found herself at a large image of what appared to be the Painted Lady and another figure she could not recognize: his body was black as night, but his face was blue, with fin-like ears of white.
It was hardly a surprise to see the legends of other cultures celebrated here; from what Aang had told her, the Air Nomads were travellers who honored the world around them. What kept the young Waterbender fixed to the spot so strongly, then, was the image itself. Having played the part of the Painted Lady herself, Katara felt a strong degree of co

Vicious' long fingers wrapped around the neck of the vodka bottle, bringing it to his pale lips for another swig. He was dimly aware of his surroundings, that he was laying half-frozen on a moth-eaten bed in some slummy motel. The icy Callistan wind bit brutally from the open window, but Vicious didn't care. Didn't care if he died, alone, in this rat-infested hell hole. In fact he hoped for it.
He took another swig.
The syndicate had disbanded. The organization he'd pledged his life to was gone. Gone, in an instant. In a blink of an eye, the past fifteen years of his life meant nothing. There was nothing left for him now.
He took another swig.
Vicious didn't really know why he came to Callisto. He'd driven here on emotional autopilot after he'd gotten the news of the Syndicate. He dimly supposed it was because the last time he was here was the last time he'd actually felt.
Vicious grimaced. That name brought up feelings better left unsaid.

He reached an arm out, searching, and she watched it wander until it found her ribs. He pulled himself closer, entangling their legs, a content sigh escaping him, and she could not help but smile, her fingers brushing through the edge of his hair. She lifted her head from her pillow, bent over, kissed his forehead. She rolled over and he unconsciously pulled her against his chest, burying his nose in her hair, his hand finding hers and intertwining their fingers. The sun sank slowly beyond the horizon, transforming from a huge orange orb into scattered rays of golden light.
