This is the result of a weekend of non-stop collab work between +Dinyctis and I.

This was a very hard piece to work with. The full canvas size was 10000x7500 pi @ 200dpi which is the same dimensions as a 50x30 inch paper. I wanted to make the biggest piece i've ever created. Some of you are probably thinking why such a ridiculous large scale piece. Well i wanted to get a print of it to put on my wall. We both learnt a lot in making this, from the point of how easy it is to create normal sized planet and to how pathetically hard it is to create a planet large enough to fill most of the lower right corner and still maintain some level of detail. Thanks to + Dinyctis skills we managed to pull it off, i dont think i have the experience and hardware to create such a large level planet.

We tried to give the audience a feel of a new colonized system in the outer region of our galaxy, the only problem is after adding 3 ships and tried making a good establishment projection, they all looked out of place which i got bummed about. I was looking forward to having ships flying from planet to planet. In the end we realised that the only good ship was the one we left in. We ended up blurring it for speed effects.

We've been over this piece many times to find errors and we've removed all of them. If you dont like a part of the piece, please dont do your usual thing of, oh, thats in the wrong place, or that doesn't look good their. We appreciate your feedback but this was made how we wanted it and we're happy the way it is. We even spent an hour making a quick sketch on how we wanted it to be laid out so we were really making an effort.
