Sea of silhouettesWith blue eyes
lost at sea.
It's so hard to find words that explain perfection
looking up at me.
Resting your head on my chest,
I start to confess,
"You're more precious then silver,
and as rare as gold."
Butterflies start to tear up my stomach
leaving me with urges that couldn't be controlled.
So we got closer where we could see eye to
asking ourselves if destiny was something we could deny.
In the silhouette of the blank tv screen
I tasted heaven and felt the clouds.
I've never felt this close to you,
not even in a dream.

I stood on tip toe and felt the air close in on me.
I was reaching for oxygen as much as stars.
My eyes and my lungs needed more than I could get.
You sit on the moon, swinging your feet, laughing.
Tears fall from my eyes and you yell down at me
"If you were at the height I am, you could pass that off for rain."
I ran inside the abandoned building that used to be "home".
The peeling paint chipped and when I looked, it was under my fingernails.
I scrapped my way to the room at the very top.
I looked up at the small lightbulb and watched it flicker out.
The window was missing too, a tree branch reaching into the room.
I let it take me and knew it was time to end everything.
It set me down on the moon and I landed facedown, lifeless.
You walked over and kicked me in the ribs.
"Get up. Reach for the stars. Hurry up, your time's almost up."
You held my hand and helped me up but when I got to my feet you let go and my knees unhinged.

Strong as currents we thought
we'd make it off of pure lust and lies.
So prince not so charming,

Waltzing in circular pattern diamonds and pearls threaded around necks like nooses at a mass execution.
Romance is inhaled and exhaled like oxygen with a hint of a hallucinogen.
1's and 2's 3's and 4's minnoettes and peiroettes dancing to pretend we're happy dancing to deny pain.
(hurt will always hit with perfect aim)
Depressed with smiles pressed against teeth and lips.
Looks, stares, promises, and dares we dare to find what we call happiness on this dance floor.
(maybe something more)
This night was unwanted but still we taunted romances edge with the pledge of hips to hips.
