She's walking among the trees,
The autumn wind is blowing those colorful leaves,
With every step she sees something beautiful but passes it by.
Her heart is seeking peace and comfort,
Her mind is seeking the answers to so many questions.
She has fallen into the stormy water
Fighting the mighty river but she's slowly slipping away,
Trying to grab anything to pull her up,
But her fears make her fingers lose their grip,
All her strength is gone and she's forgotten how to fight.
She's nearly lost hope and she just stopped trying,
All she can see is the water and it's pulling her under,
She's beginning to wond
Reflections of The PastHave you looked in a mirror and seen the reflection,Reflections of The Past6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Not the person looking back at you,
But the reflection of the past
Have you looked through the rain to the puddles?
Can you see the reflection of the dancing child?
The child that once danced in those puddles
Have you looked through a glass to find only you?
Can you see the child that once laughed and held the cup?
Or is the image to distorted, to see the smile that once filled it?
Have you seen the reflection a tear drop can hold?
Can you see only the pain?
Or the reflection of love buried deep?
Reflections of the past
A small little rainbow dancing on the wall
To Jail a CriminalJoseph was feeling particularly vile when he woke up on the morning of January second, 2015. At the time he had put it down to food poisoning. Something about the restaurant he had eaten at with friends last night put him off. But quickly he realized it couldn't have been food poisoning, for he had been feeling like this for the past month. Maybe it was something in the air. This bout of sickness had only just come on pending his move to the new house. But it couldn't have been that, either, because he distinctly remembered the first stirrings of it long before he lived here, back when he was still occupying that ramshackle hut on the edge ofTo Jail a Criminal4 years ago in Science Fiction More Like This

Change my face to fit a picture, Candied lips and all
Change my eye color
They could be green or blue
Do i fit in now?

BANG! They're getting closer. Any second now they're going to see the hat I dropped. Damn it! Why didn't I pick that up? It's a nice hat.
CRASH! There goes the door. The sound of footsteps coming closer made a rhythmic, almost musical sound. My heart pounded. The noise stopped. All was silent, save a lone cicada chirping in the distance. Odd, they usually
The Dying Man's CurseI've been sleeping for 21 years, it seems. I stopped counting long ago. I stopped caring long ago. Hope that I would die to end my immense loneliness isn't an escape to me much anymore. Waking up to walls of gray that tend to block my view of the growing world around me is a common gesture within my life; savoring the shrieking that erupts from the other sides of them for all the entertainment it may be worth. The screams, the torment of this establishment really never ends; not even in escape. It rests; a grisly hook gouged into your brain, never wanting to let you forg

What I dont know is that youre staring at me.

That really youre not with me.
Im only dreaming and soon I will wake.

Heed this warning, hark you here:
Cling to all that you hold dear
With the storm approaching near
I recall that which I fear.
Lone the wolf who lurks the night
Lone the bird in migrant flight
Lonely tree in forest bare
Lonely cloud in sky so fair
All alone you wield the knife
All to end a lonely life
Latch on to those memories
Swirling wind and shining seas
Lovers touch and friends embrace
Victory and roaming space
Warmth of cup and mothers hold
All of which would since go cold
I have found so much to want
That there is no way to daunt
Such a soul who needs to be
Held and soothed so desperately

Those are just two words.
Two words with meaning.
Though not strong enough to describe my emotions.
They give a glimpse of my agony.
This is the insight.
To the pain that you cause.
Being pushed aside for another
Has no description.
But Ill try to make you understand.
Its hard to carry on this way.
Being second best.
Knowing that she will always come first.
Not because she has what I cant offer,
But because you cant make that stand and send her off.
Its hard waiting.
Not knowing if what may come will come.
But hoping that it will.
Its greedy of me, expecting so much.

Oh Foolish Love, Oh Spiteful Hate, I have found the truth of a lovers embrace.
The lies that hid beneath the mask, the Cruelty tasted on your lips,
The beauty that hid the spiteful glares, the sweet voice that hid the venom
I have found the truth.
Never again will I submit, never again will I Love.
For Love is nothing but a fools game, Played by the weak.
I will not be controlled, I will not be destroyed,
Like a Pheonix from the ashes, I shall rise anew,
And my words of flame shall devour my foes.
