Latin Name: Anthopleura xanthogrammica

There are places in the world where the palm trees bend under tropical breezes, where the ocean glows with a radiant turquoise and the water is as warm as bath water. There are places where the sun bakes the land, the air swirls over dry rock and you never need worry about an umbrella. There are also places in the world that pass through a most glorious array of fall colour and then disappear under a blanket of the most exquisite glittering white and even the places that are plunged into a deep freeze in winter are warmer than here in the summer. But I will forgo tropical warmth, and the beauty of the seasons and take the rain, the mountains, the constant cool temperatures, the damp green world that Iíve found here. Where the power of the wind leaves me feeling small and awestruck.. Where mountains meet sea in a rocky green jumble filled with wildlife and fish. Where colour lives in a tiny puddle of water left by the falling tide.

This painting is watercolour on paper.
I was attracted to the deep reflections of the scene and that is why most of the painting is reflections.

Thank you for past comments and faves.

Storm Winds | Watercolour by Edbon Sevilleno

Often times starting a watercolour painting on an empty paper filled me with awe ... it takes courage and mastery to handle this medium. Once it's there ... that's it. There is no turning back. But once you made it, then it's a triumph!

Foxgloves are an essential flower in my garden, they're always surrounded by bees, busily collecting nectar and pollenating the flowers.
