A Bare Dirt CourtTo My Dear Old Friend Jonathan.........A Bare Dirt Court1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
It's hard to forget your name,
My friends have it too, so then it's easier to think of you.
Memories of being on that dirt court, being so short.
Your height shooting for the sky, with a ball aiming for the goal.
I helped pick up what dropped and brought it back to you,
saying thank you, you would shoot it again,

Time Heals Time has a way of making you forget,Time Heals1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
sometimes that is what heals you,
and sometimes that is what ails you.
Whenever you forget something,
what you felt goes along with it,
Then is when you remembered what you forgot,
you look at pictures of your family,
and times with your friends.
How could you forget something like that?
How could you forget all those feelings you felt then?
How could you forget them?
The thing about our memories,
is we may remember a few,
but we still need a few things to remind us of the things we did,
and the people we were with.
