Here is a recipe for making Oreo cookie frosting -
5 tablespoons all purpose flour 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 cup crushed Oreo (I used my food processor to crush about 10-12 Oreo)
In a small sauce pan combine 5 tablespoons flour with 1 cup cold milk (I used non-fat milk). Stir and whisk the mixture constantly over medium low heat until it becomes really thick. Place this mixture in the refrigerator or freezer for about 10 minutes so that it cools completely.
When the flour/milk mixture has cooled completely, cream together butter and sugar with your mixer. When the sugar is well incorporated into the butter, add in vanilla and mix for 30 seconds longer. Add in the thickened milk/flour mixture and mix on low for about 30 seconds. Then turn the mixer to high and mix for about 3 minutes, or until the frosting is light and fluffy, much like whipped cream. If the consistency isn't like whipped cream, keep mixing! Add in 1 cup crushed Oreo and mix for about 30 seconds (until creamy).
Dark Chocolate Pudding with Vanilla n Chocolate Cake Trimmings topped with chocolate and strawberry curls as well as fresh strawberries.
Next time when you bake a cake, don't toss the trimmings into the trash. I always save them, place them in sandwich bags, they can be kept in your freezer for more than a month. I use them for cake pops and easy dessert like this one here, like this afternoon..... They even picked their own glassware from my cabinet, it was fun hanging with friends and making desserts together and gossip...
