A loud cheer came from the guests as they watched all of the Smash Fighters, past and present, make their way up on stage.
“It’s been a long few years since the interviews have started and now is the time to reveal the newest additions of the Smash Roster!” exclaimed Samus.
Another cheer came from the crowd as the waited for the role call.

Chapter 3: Wii Fit Trainer
“Alright, guys,” Pit said, “welcome to Day One of training.”
Villager rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and straightened his hair. Pit had gotten them up at six in the morning, at least three hours earlier than Villager was accustomed to. Standing next to him was Rock, who showed no signs of fatigue at all. Stupid robot, Villager thought to himself. The three were now standing in the center of the Smash Grounds as the sun rose over the distant mountains. All around them, the skeletons of slowly forming stages rose ominously from the ground.
“So, is it true another newcomer’s arriving today?” Rock asked.
Pit grinned and chuckled to himself. “You’re just going to have to wait and see. Follow me.”

“You mean to tell me that there is some sort of metal interdimensional goop down there taking over the minds of my friends? And you brought me all the way back here instead of letting me help them?”
Pit stood in the middle of Palutena’s temple, high in the upper altitudes of his homeworld. Hades and Viridi each stood to one side of him as Palutena herself stood at the head of the chamber. The goddess of light was tall and stately, with pure white robes and long, flowing green hair. She looked down at Pit with a sympathetic look on her face. “I’m sorry, Pit,” she said, “I did what I had to do to get you out of there. This is an enemy far more dangerous than anything any of us have seen before.”

“Nope. This is really the last interview.”
So ecstatic was Samus that she actually pulled out a bottle of champagne and popped the cork. Seeing the look she was getting from Link, she just merely raised an eyebrow.
“What? I’ve been waiting for this moment. Let me celebrate!”
“Could you at least wait until the game comes out and all of us can celebrate?”
“…But I don’t want to wait anymore,” whined the busty blonde.
“Such foolishness. You humans should have been destroyed years ago,” echoed a voice that sounded like it was coming from everywhere.
Link and Samus got on guard, but soon found it to be in vain as the source of the voice teleported into the room.

His heart races as the blood drains from his face; cold shivers make his body tremble as he stays glued to his spot...
So, that's all it takes to stop you, hm?
The faint whisper barely registers in Pit's mind; even so, its very presence makes even his wildly beating heart stop, if only for a second.
Even the great leader of Palutena's army... can't handle being by his other half? ...how depressing...
The hand falls away from the angel's shoulder; he spins around, his cerulean eyes wide with fear--
Despite the darkness, a faint, shimmering outline stands just in front of Pit; no color fills in the humanoid shape save for black...
Black, and faint traces of blue.
Wh... what are you? Pit demands, trying to shake off the growing sense of fear.

A Story for a drawing by Hylian-Link
Link drew his Master Sword from the sheath on his back. He faced the rising sun, its golden rays illuminating the icy mist that hung suspended above the blood-stained ground. He pushed the tip of his blade into the earth, lowering his body onto one knee. He bowed his head, a single tear rolling down his cheek.
A silent honor, and thanks, to the fallen hero.
Across from Link, was a small hill in the dirt. A long, silver blade had been stuck into it, and a green bandana was tied tightly around its burgundy hilt. A warriors grave for Ike, the fallen leader of the Greil Mercenaries.
Link let his mind wander back to Ikes demise, not all that long ago.

"Well, how was that, kid?" Fox said as the Arwing's engines powered down. He flicked several switches, shutting down the reactor; the craft was parked safely behind the Manor alongside Falco's Arwing.
Pit laughed. "I prefer flying on my own!" He said as he removed the headset.
As Fox chuckled and opened the canopy, Link disengaged his Clawshot and hopped off the wing. "Damn, that was fun!" He grinned, and Pit burst into giggles when he saw Link's blonde tresses had been swept back by the wind. Feelings of rage and vengeance flowed through him. These metals had taken his entire army, including his wife and many of his closest friends, leaving him with only a handful left. He's spent days wandering this blasted, dreary forest, without a guide and with almost nothing to eat.
It certainly was stupid of him to come out here alone, he realizes, as sharp branches tear at his light skin. There's little he can do now, however; he keeps trudging forward, bow in hand as he looks for any source of light.
Had Pit known he'd be wandering this long, he never would have gone in in the first place.
No use whining about it now, he growls to himself, slipping between the interstices of the trees. Just keep going straight and you'll get out... and then you can tell Palutena about this place later.
If she doesn't kill me with worried questions first.
Sighing, he takes another couple steps forward--
Broken light falls upon his face, and he cringes before smiling.
