Danes Way of Creating a StableWant to be part of a horse RPG here on dA or maybe just start an independent stable with a few horses on your own. Or want to do a little story about a riding school with a friend? Well, this is just a little guide to help get you started. You may use the parts you want, discard the ones you don’t – most important thing is to have fun with your RPG!Danes Way of Creating a Stable1 year ago in Other More Like This
What is a Horse RPG?
RPG means Role Playing Game. It’s a very common phrase on the internet these days, and in the horse world I guess it originated in simulation games for many people. We get to not only create our dream horses, but also train, compete and just love them. And we even get to invent their personalities and interact with others.
For me the Horse RPG was a chance to create a dream stable with dream horses, owned by human characters I developed.
Today I use it as a way to tell a story, and my horses aren’t perfect little robots anymore, just like my humans have their flaws, but it is still a worl

Danes Guide to Creating Your Own Breed 1Many people have asked me for help creating their made up breeds for dA, especially after creating the initial success of the Nordanners. The Nordanners were originally created for my own sake; I didn’t even plan for them to become adoptable designs beyond creating a few for friends and watchers. There was however a lot of interest and I soon found myself having economic issues and eventually Nordanners helped me sort that problem as well. I ended up selling them and today I have no involvement at all with neither Nordanners or Stoltzer Danes. I do however enjoy working at a lower level with my much loved Baliro breed.Danes Guide to Creating Your Own Breed 11 year ago in Other More Like This
In this “guide” I want to share the process of creating a breed for dA use as well as go over some of the issues you might encounter when owning a breed, such as the daily administration and so on. You may use the parts you want, but naturally this is not a rule book and there are many ways to go about the process of it all – remember that th

Midsummer Night Show - closed for judgingArt deadline: August 1st 2014 at 8pm GMT+1 (Copenhagen summer time)Midsummer Night Show - closed for judging1 year ago in Personal More Like This
In my home country Midsummer Night is about huge bonfires, sending witches back where they came from, talking to friends and neighbours and having a laugh. It is a night filled with both joy, mystery and terror all at once, depending on how you look at these festivities and how many horror stories you dare to listen to.
In all old cultures Midsummer played some sort of role. Either as a reason to create huge bonfires, praising old gods and eat plenty of food - or as a spooky tale about fairy folks entering the ordinary world and shimmering magic suddenly being visible for a short period of time - or as a symbol of love, fertility and beauty of Mother nature - or just another reason to drink, eat and fornicate in orgie style as if there was no tomorrow!
What this contest is about, is to participate not only in a summer event, but also let your imagination run free and show the rest of us, what Midsum
The What to draw next? HARPG Help GuideYou are sitting in your room, looking at your gorgeous horses at Deviantart. You don't have a particular storyline in mind but you really like to draw something. You have no idea what to do. Sounds familiar? Well, here I have something that might get you some ideas. The What to draw next? HARPG Help Guide1 year ago in Personal More Like This
It's a rough set up, and some combinations wouldn't make sense at all, but... maybe it bring you a good story? If you like to help to improve this, please, feel free to comment!
How does it work?
If you are familiar with the horse personality randomizer that Dane made together with some other DA'ers, then it's kinda in the same direction. You will see a couple of lists that together will make a guideline to draw something. Some combination absolutely do not make sense, but just click the random button again to make a better option.
What do I need?

Who is the youngest?
Do they have a weakness? [ what makes them sad, or something that limits them at times.]

Brindles HARPG Life GeneratorGetting into the fall theme guys! I seriously adore this skinBrindles HARPG Life Generator2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now, I've seen a lot of realistic life generators out there that people use for their HARPG stable, but none have really suited me. I want to be more realistic with SSS, but I don't think I have the strength to kill off any of my horses. So I'm going to try and compromise with a new sort of layout that I hope I can stick to.
There is no continual timeline. Aka horses age at their own speed, not every 2 weeks etc.
Certain horses can be made 'immune'
The generator will be rolled at the beginning of every month.
IT is PERFECTLY acceptable to reroll if you can't live with the hand you're dealt LOL.
- Roll a number between 1-5. This decides the percent of your stable affected 1= 10% 5=50%
-Calculate the percentage from your total herd count. If you get a decimal, it is up to you to round up or round down.
-List all of your H
