Rythian pulled a book, mostly for show, out from under his arm and opened it, pretending to find a specific page. Zoey had been asking him to tell Baby Jim a bedtime story for some time now, and seeing as he had recently discovered that his apprentice and their volcano were both alive and well (so to speak, in the case of the latter), he felt that the time had come.
'So, Baby Jim, this is the story of...' He glanced up at the rebel girl and was unable to prevent himself from mirroring her warm smile. Spurred on by her nod of encouragement, he continued.
'Of a boy I once knew, a long time ago..'
