A Second ChanceThe moment Sarah wished her brother away, Jareth knew his life was going to change.
During Sarah’s run, he thought that it would be a good change to have Sarah and Toby be a part of the Underground at long last (as of course Sarah would lose). At the end of Sarah’s run, Jareth’s feelings about the change became increasingly negative, until she finally said her right words, thus defeating him.
Then it was all bad.
Jareth was not accustomed to losing, and that it was to Sarah made it worse. He loved Sarah, had watched her for years, and had given her the book. To have it all come to this end was disheartening.
The goblins had been hoping for a new queen, so they did the next best thing: follow her around to see if she still remembered the Labyrinth. For several years, the goblins appeared in her home, wherever it happened to be, until sometime in college, when her room was too small to hide in. The goblins had been fond o

She was running late. Naturally. Rehearsal ran until two-thirty instead of ending as planned at two o’clock. In this case, it was a good thing; it was going well, and their director, Jeremy, was pleased. But that didn’t stop Autumn from groaning about it as she walked into the local toy store.
She was on a mission, and nothing and nobody would delay her further.
Today was the day she got to meet her god-daughter, her unofficial niece: Sarah, the daughter of her fellow company-member Linda. She simply couldn’t arrive empty-handed!
As Autumn quickly pushed the door open, the bell jingled rapidly. The clerk at the register must have noticed the determined expression on this shopper’s face, because he purposefully didn’t mention that the store was due to close for inventory in ten minutes; the large signs in the store windows and by the register were all too clear on the subject.
Autumn sighed as she scann
Some Dreams ChangeEven as a little girl, Sarah Williams had dreamed of getting married. Some Dreams Change1 year ago in Romance More Like This
At the age of five, Sarah had played make believe with her mother, putting on a white dress and walking down the aisle. As she got older, she pretended that she was a princess, waiting for her prince to come and save her from whatever evils her mind created.
Every time she dreamed or played, there was a large, white gown, a handsome boy, and all of her family around her. There were flowers everywhere, music from her favorite music box, and all the chocolate cake she could find (naturally in white frosting).
Over time, those dreams changed. Her mother’s departure from her life made that part of her dream impossible, to have her mom as part of the bridal party. Then, there was her step-mother and Toby. For a time, the idea of having either in her wedding, especially after making her life more unfair, was distasteful.
School brought changes as well, most

“Not yet, Precious. Can’t I admire you here next to me a little longer?”
“You can do it in and out of bed, my husband. Now, do I have to mess up your hair to get you moving, or will you simply be a dear and come over to help me out of bed?”
“Perhaps if you kiss me first, I would help you willingly.”
“Six months we have been married, and already you are spoiled. What shall I do with you?”
“You could start by kissing me,” said Jareth, slowly stretching next to Sarah.
“I suppose it wouldn't hurt. It can only help me right now.”
“Help you with what?” asked Jareth worriedly.
“With what I need to say to you. Unfortunately, it requires me to leave for a few hours, but I promise it won’t be long, and then we can talk about it all you want.”
“What has happened? Is it about the family?

Sarah opened her eyes slowly, and groan, putting a hand over her eyes as the sun blinded her. She sat up, and realized she was laying on her living room floor. her back ached and she felt chilled. Probably because she hadn't even got dressed last night she thought as she noticed the robe she still wore on her thin body.

“No, Toby, I do not have high standards.”
“I assure you, Sarah, you definitely do. Anyone who looked at the line of men whom you have dated would see that they are all very good, reasonable, and dashing men. And yet, not one of them lasts more than a month, if that. Is that an accident? I think not!”
“Toby, you are hardly one to talk.”
“I can at least keep a steady girlfriend!”
“I’m just waiting for the right one. He just hasn’t been found yet.”
“Or he has, and you just refuse to believe it.”

Sarah was trying not to panic, as she feared how he would answer.
“Well, as I was saying, before being interrupted,” he said with an indulgent look at Sarah, “I just wanted to say that I am proud to say that I do in fact know Miss Williams, even if it is from several years ago.”
“Several? Try fifteen.”
“Several, fifteen, either way, it seems like far too long ago by my standards. I did know, and we got along very well then, I thought,” he said with a grin.
“Very well, if you call putting disaster after trouble in my way to keep me from….doing what I wanted. And this is why it is very bad to bully others, children, or else you end up like this man here.”
“Man? Only a man?”
“Fine, male specimen. You don’t want to end up like him.”

Chapter 4 Part 2: Why Men Should NOT Wear Speedos-Santa Baby
Inside the mall, the term "mad house" did not begin to scratch the surface of just how crazy it was inside.
What Jareth would give to simply be back in his castle. There would certainly be less noise, even if the goblins were hyped up on sugar and drunk on ale, which was saying something. The music blared, people screamed and spoke loudly to others as they wandered throughout the mall, while children cried and screamed for many different reasons.
Then there were the people. At least the goblins didn't try to pretend to be smart. Or seem that important and busy that they had to push everyone aside in order to get there first and get what they wanted, ignoring all and sundry in order to satisfy their needs.
What jerks they were, how he desired to bog them all!
But he couldn't. Drat it all and listening to Sarah. But he had to, if he wished to stay on her

It's far From Over
Sarah sank down into the chair in front of her vanity, the party was over and all her new found friends had returned to the Underground. It was now well after midnight and she was exhausted, running the Labyrinth had been difficult and not nearly as easy as it had seemed in the book. She glanced briefly at the draw where she had placed the velvet bound book along with her music box and other precious items. Who would have thought that that small book held the secretes of another world?
She smiled to herself remembering how many time she had acted out scenes from the book. She had thought it nothing more than a fairytale, how wrong she had been! It had turned out to be more of a nightmare full of her fantasies all turned against her. She shuddered at the memory of the dream ball. All her life she had dreamed about being old enough to go to a ball, to dance with a handsome prince, to be swept of her feet. But it hadn't been what she hoped; it

Sarah had originally thought that she would merely give him a quick little peck of appreciation and move on, but she immediately realized that this was a ridiculous and impossible notion. She couldn't have pulled away, even if she had wanted to.
Ever since their first fateful meeting, almost two years prior, Sarah had considered Jareth to a villainous and conceited being. And since she had believed the Goblin King to be nothing more than this, Sarah had completely repressed any attraction or emotionally stirring feelings she might have felt for him. Chapter 1: Be Careful What You Wish for-I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
After having a very exhausting morning trying to help fix the turkey for the later Thanksgiving feast, 25-year old Sarah Williams was tired. And frustrated.
It was a well-known fact that she could not cook, even though she had gotten many lessons from the great chef that her stepmother Karen was. Now that she had graduated from college, worked at a newspaper, and had an apartment of her own she was now quite grown up, and ready to handle grown-up duties, like helping Karen with the turkey. Sadly, it still didn't mean that her cooking was any better. Poor Karen was doing her best to counteract the fact that Sarah still couldn't cook, but it didn't help since preparing the turkey required many hours and much patience and gentleness, something Sarah did not have in the kitchen.
It didn't help that Sarah was afraid of peaches. And had been afraid of them e

Chapter One: The Story
A clock on the wall chimed the hour. It was twelve o'clock; the bewitching time of night when the impossible was made possible and the world was silent.
Mariya the goblin had been trying to get her children to bed for quite some time now. And finally she had managed to get them all into their cots, but they were still wide awake.
"Please mama, tell us a story!" Her five children cried in unison.
The old goblin fought to keep the smile from her lips as she sighed loudly, "I will . . . If you promise me you'll go to sleep the second I'm done."
They all promised and settled in for the story.
"What will it be tonight?" Mariya asked.
"Tell us about King Jareth!" One begged from within her place in her small bundle of blankets.
"Oh, but that is a sad story indeed." Mariya said with a frown. "Don't you want to hear a story with a happy ending?"

However, it was typical for a highly imaginative six-year-old, going to ride the carousel in the park to wear something to make her feel like a princess. And if she chose to ride a fierce charger instead of a pretty mare, that simply reflected her desire for excitement. Especially since she immediately told herself that said charger was really a dragon.
And to her, it truly did become a dragon. Fortunately for those around her, she didn't quite get around to deciding whether or not it was a country-side burning, people-eating, hero-defying dragon, or one focused on completing daily business. Unnoticed by her parents, the carousel operator, or the other parents and older siblings there, Sarah's mount had become the dragon. An unexpectedly docile, friendly, and smallish dragon, cou

Chapter 2: Welcome to the family-(There's no place like) Home for the holidays
Sarah ventured to the front yard, shooing Toby away saying that those owls were dangerous, and one had to be older and more careful to deal with them, so she would take care of it on her own. To make sure she wasn't watched, she sent him to the backyard to prepare the yard for the annual Williams football game. After that, she went to go face him, uncertain of what to expect.
By the time she turned around after closing the door, she no longer saw the owl in the tree, instead, she only heard footsteps crunching the fallen leaves in the yard. She looked up, and saw him for the first time in a long, long time.
And did he look good.
Drat it all. Why were the dreams never better than the real thing?
"Hello, Sarah. Fancy seeing you again after all this time. I thought you'd never wish for something again, the way you were going. N

Ten years after Sarah's defeat of the Underground, Sarah Williams still treasured the Underground, and everything that went with it. After that time, she learned to value her brother, and they had become much closer as the years went by. In addition, she had new friends from the Underground, not to mention countless goblins who visited her from time to time.
It was finally Halloween. Sarah had been excited for some time. Every year, she, Toby, and her friends from the Underground went Trick-or-Treating together to get as much candy as possible. It was a great contest that they all looked forward to, as there were many little goblins wandering about, trying to steal candy from their bags for themselves. In the past, Hoggle had won due to having a great "costume", but in recent years, Toby was winning with the ability to walk faster and look more adorable. This year w

In the three years that Sarah dated Jareth, this phrase soon replaced “It’s not fair!” as Sarah’s catch phrase to use around Jareth. Of course, it was the goblins’ fault, but they always ran away before she could question them. That led to many of her greatest conversations starting off that way with him. Jareth started teasing Sarah that she loved her socks more than him. Sarah always proved him wrong on that account.
After a year of marriage to Jareth, Sarah had become quite familiar with Jareth and his odd quirks. However, she still had never found his socks. One day, while Jareth was out attending to a runner, Sarah decided to finally figure out why the goblins were obsessed with socks. Obviously, Jareth had some fine socks if all the goblins wanted to have and emulate them.
Sarah started by checking their shared bedroom, and then looked inside his walk-in closet.&

Chapter 4 Part 1: Santa Baby
'Twas the night before Black Friday, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a goblin.
The car was quite empty, empty with much care,
In hopes that much Christmas shopping would soon be held there.
Sarah and Jareth were decked up to go, not going to their beds,
While visions of endless shopping carts danced in their heads.
And with all but the most stalwart and crazy souls wearing their caps;
Everybody else was smart enough to go to bed for a nice, long nap.
When all of a sudden, there arose such a clatter,
For Jareth and Sarah had come into the parking lot to buy what mattered.
Away to the store they had come in a flash,
But upon seeing no spots available, Jareth sent the car home with a sash.
And this is where we join our brave souls, Sarah and Jareth, as they enter into the fray.
Let us hope that they will buy as much as they play.
They had only been there for less than five minutes, and already Jareth wa
