It was eight AM. The young lawyer Ronja Regel frequently checked her watch from time to time, sweating and shaking all over. It was her first day at work ever. Having recently graduated from the University of Gothenburg she was lucky to find a job right away. It wasn't just at any firm though; it was Trenchard & Smith, probably one of the most successful law firms in eastern US. Even at this point she was still flabbergasted that they accepted the application she sent for just shits and giggles.
So there she was, standing beside some of the best lawyers in the country. She was so in such high spirits that she could barely restrain herself from simply hugging the person closest to her. Even if she did they would probably not appreciate it, judging from the serious expressions they all wore. Ronja understood that from here on she would have to put away her happy go lucky behavior at work and just mean business.

The Day The World Changed
July 19, 1943
As he watched the jeep flying through the air towards him, the young hero Alexander Valiant (or just Valiant to his fellow fighters) couldn't help but wonder if, maybe (just maybe), his father had been right. It had been months (almost four now) since the now-missing Ezekial Dillinger bestowed upon him the powers he currently weilded. Months since he disregarded his father's wishes and joined up to fight tyranny and fascism.
And only NOW, as he stared his mortality in the face, did the young Valiant find himself reconsidering his decision. As he dove to the side, the metallic vehicle crashed into the brick and mortar of a nearby pub. Tank fire and explosions echoed throughout the streets as he tried to regain his composure.
"Still alive little American?" asked a deep, accented, voice. It belonged to a towering teutonic titan who went by the codename 'Maciste'. Alexander had

An Underground Lab
The remains of Angel Falls
She sat at her console, alone in the vast lab that once belonged to her father. The last thing that remains of the legendary Doctor Alexander Valiant. It was dark, and not a computer was on. Even the communications had been disabled. Young Patricia Valiant didn't want to be bothered at this moment.
She had just learned who her genetic mother was. Now the Lady Valiant didn't know what to do, or how to approach this.
"Stupid idiot!" Pat cursed at herself. She should've known better. Now all she's done is gone and complicated her life more. Sighing the young superscientist took a drink from the cup of cocoa, re-reading the test results for the twelfth time as if in some vain hope that they'd be any different from the last time.
A ringing noise echoed through the lab complex. Patricia sighed, annoyed but not surprised. It was Timothy Murray, her liaison. The young Valiant had a hunch he'd come here.

The New Girl
Angel Falls Medical Center
Reiko awoke with a start, the last thing she remembered was collapsing into Ms. Blitzen after having beat a bank-robbing armor-clad villain. Her whole body ached, her sinuses felt practically clogged shut, and to top it off... the young would-be heroine was STARVING. Having used her powers in such a fashion really burned off the calories... not to mention whatever energy she had left. It took her a moment to realize she was in a hospital bed, hooked up to an I.V. machine. Obviously the chalk-skinned Blitzen had brought her here.
Trying to get a better idea of her surroundings brought Reiko more pain, mentally adding the presence of a splitting headache to the list of problems. Sighing, she slumped back down in her bed.
Well Reiko... if you were wanting to find help... you more than made your presence to the city known. Finding help, or at least getting attention, shouldn't be hard now.

"Not my most impressive entrance, but necessary." She said with a smirk.
She examined the wall to her right, finding the precise spot she wanted. One of her cybernetic legs reached forth and cut through the wall, exposing a junction box. Once it was pried open it was a simple matter to attach a device that would filter some of the security sensors, making her nearly invisible.
Years of planning went into this operation. Stranger Industries was one of the top tech developers in the world, which made its labs one of the biggest prizes to raid. It also made it one of the hardest of targets to hit, with it having the best of security systems. A lot of research went into learning what kind of systems it had in place. Researching building schematics, where access points could be found,

"DAMMIT!!!" spat the statue-esque young lady as she slammed her gloved fist upon the console, which thankfully didn't break from her impressive strength. The tests she had been running for the last three weeks had just proven to be a fruitless endeavor. Hours upon hours of experimentation, sleepless nights spent analyzing countless lines of code, and it all has been for pretty much nothing. Sighing, the exhausted dark-haired beauty fell back into a lab chair. It's at these types of moments that she wondered what the hell her 'father' would've done.
Her biological father had been a legendary hero, adventurer, scientist, philanthropist and entrepeneur. Doctor Alexander Valiant, the Superscientist, the "Man of Action", and a whole buncha other descriptors. Lara Cassidy was dead. Valiant was still coping with that concept as he stood there, in the burning streets that once ran past his beloved plaza. She had hung on just long enough to give him a heads-up as well as give him an idea on what the hell was happening. In all his many years, he had hoped such a thing would never occur. Perhaps if he had taken more of a role in things he could've foreseen this and stopped it. Perhaps if he hadn't quit the heroics business he could've been more in the loop, and thus put certain villains in a hole in the ground.

Patricia couldn't believe it. Why were they back in her world? As far as she knew, the individual known as Concussion hadn't been seen since the night Angel Falls was destroyed. Some believed he might've perished in the Walkiria Detonation, while others believed he had gone into exhile due to his (well... more appropriately... THEIR) conflicting feelings towards the woman named Aria. In other words, nobody really knew WHERE David Blake (and his fractured personality) was.
Could he be plotting something? In her homeworld?

“Hrmm,” the Stranger murmured unhappily. “At least Long-Reich had the decency to become a supervillain on his own time with his own money. Anyways, anyone know what you were looking for?”
“Nope, I kept the reason why I was doing it to myself. No one suspects anything.” Warbuster’s pilot paused before adding. “Well, I think Poly might. She actually found a couple of the discrepancies while looking for parts and p

The next thing he became aware of was intense burning pain coursing throughout his body. Orderlies and Military Police Officers come to his aid, lifting him up off the ground (of which the tile floor was significantly cracked from his fall). What was going on? He struggled against these people, the disorientation leading to nausea and dizziness.
In his endeavors to free himself, he failed to notice how hard it was for these people to keep the hysterical man down. Failed to notice how much BIGGER he was, or how much stronger too. It took twelve people to get him back into bed, by this time a doctor had

Shinacook Creek, New Mexico
Shinacook Creek... a small quiet town just West of Alamogordo. Population was about 150 people. Emphasis on the WAS. For almost all 150 of them were now missing... and the town itself was torn apart. It reminded Doctor Alexander Valiant of his time spent in Europe back during the War. As one could imagine, they weren't exactly pleasant memories.
New Mexico State Police Sergeant Whitmore was there waiting for him at the hastily built headquarters set up near the center of the town. The big man couldn't help but notice some of the stares he got from the officers, like the kind you saw on folks when they bumped into a movie star, sports celebrity... or in his case... a war hero. Doc tried though, to keep his mind on the business at hand.
The Police Sergeant looked tired and disheveled. He looked like a man overwhelmed. Doc really hoped he could help.

It'd be easy to overlook the Aristotle Plaza, it was built during the earlier decades of the city known as Angel Falls. Located in the North District, it is a decently large building and apartment complex that houses about 200+ occupants. It could've been built ANYWHERE, especially the Eden Island District, with the amount of money it's chief inhabitant makes on a weekly basis. But said inhabitant isn't exactly what you'd call your typical "rich man", and tended to steer away from those types. So much so that he chose a more humble (and open) location that isn't exclusive to anyone.
To many citizens, the Plaza does (on the outside) indeed a look a little out of place with the glittering "metropolis of the future" that is Angel Falls. It's simple architectural design contrasts sharply with the more futuristic aesthetics of the surrounding buildings. But like many things, appearances can be decieving, as the Plaza is more than on par, technologicall

Velocity's heart stopped for a brief second at the sudden interruption. Without letting go of the child she turned slightly (though not to the point where she couldn't keep an eye on her scarlet-haired pursuer) to see who was behind her. If you were to ask the speedster (or even Walkiria) to describe the man she saw, Velocity might say he looked like one of those actors that used to star in those old Greco-Roman mythology movies from the 60's. Steve Reeves or maybe even Kirk Douglas in his youthful prime. But to everyone who had a television set, cell phone device, computer, or any other tool that had internet access... he was simply known to the public as "Doc Valiant", the head of Aristotle Solutions.
The big man looked as if he had just stepped out of a mechanic's garage. Spots of oil, dirt and sweat dotted his attire. "I'll only say this one more time... let the boy go and give yourself up." repeated Doc, an icy glare in his eyes. Walkiria could

Grace Ellsworth's crystal blue eyes were transfixed on the television screen. If the announcer on the show was to be believed, a human being was about to attempt bench pressing a literal ton of weight on live television; without wearing a bench press shirt. Then again, there was no reason for Grace to doubt the man's capability or the challenge's legitimacy. After all, the man of the hour was none other than Shawn Masterson - Grace's, and millions of other women's dream crush.
As expected, the incredibly muscular athlete managed to properly press the cartoonishly large 2000 pounds weight to his chest. The crowd went wild, especially the female portion. Masterson had done it again, he broke his own record. Grace stared longingly at the screen. While the 18 year old was no slouch herself, a blonde beauty with an immaculately tight and to
