Whether you are,
Or even other...
We are all a community of people
Getting along doesn't come easy
I don't think we all give equal effort
I ask you the gays, hang in there and wait
I ask you the straights, please quit with the unjust hate
I ask the confused, you don't have to be just straight
I ask the men, don't be sexist
I ask the women, don't play mind games
I ask the others, abide by both
Our Sex doesn't identify us
Our Orientation isn't the only thing we are
All of us, no matter which group you're in...
We are all people
We all deserve the same treatment
If you show unrighteous hate, plan to receive such disgrace
All we ask from our fellow LGBT is to please follow the same
Straights, you non queers just listen a little please
We don't expect total acceptance, just a bit of respect
Please, don't take the option of marriage away?
Give us a chance to prove you wrong

My Marriage, Not YoursHow does any marriage I may have, ruin the sanctity of yours? My Marriage, Not Yours3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
So, I don't believe in God, you do, that's fine
I still believe in marriage, marriage is just love
So how would my marriage, ruin yours?
You can get married anywhere, after meeting a few hours ago, drunk.
You can get married whenever you want, wherever you want
You can get married to your perfect woman, or perfect man
Your marriage is just that, yours, I don't presume to be any part of it, it doesn't affect me
So why should any marriage I have, to someone I love, affect yours?

Call me Fox Ai. I prefer masculine pronouns. I am genderfluid, pansexual and polyamorous. Anyways...let's get to what really matters.
This week is a thing at my school called Writer's Week. It is a week long event where numerous authors, songwriters and performers basically showcase their work as well as host workshops with students. Alongside them, they have student presenters from our school. This is the 2nd year it is running so I decided, why not submit something? So one night, I sat down and began to write. I was going to do something on depression. But I am trying to put my depression behind me. So I started with something that was in the back of my mind. Being Pansexual. I don't know if it is just me, but I have experienced rather cruel LGBTQ me
P is for PANSEXUALWhy is it every time I see the good ol' "LGBT" acronym extended to LGBTQAS and so on so forth..P is for PANSEXUAL3 years ago in Emotional More Like This
But rarely so I ever see a "P" thrown anywhere in there?
Are we not a part of it? Do people still see us as bisexual? It's not like I'm asking for much, I just wish more people had knowledge of the "P". And that more would acknowledge the "P". We're real too. And as a "P" I would like to see it included as folders in more groups I'm in and see. I would like to see and hear the "P" included in that long standing acronym for "FREEDOM". Not much to ask. Even when professionals of LGBT youth organizations use the "full" acronym, rarely do I hear a "P" in it.
So, what gives?
Do we not count anymore?
Are we just "bisexuals with perks" now?
I would love to know, really, why is it so hard to remember us and acknowledge us?
And further more, include us.
That's all this little "P" here is asking for. Acknowledgement. Cause this little "P" fights for the rights and futures all gays, lesbi
The Condemnation of HomosexualityEveryday, around the world, homosexuals are condemned for what they believe is love. They are punished for something that they call true and inescapable. Constantly, harrassed and attacked both physically and emotionally because of their beliefs. The Condemnation of Homosexuality3 years ago in Gay & Lesbian Pride More Like This
Why do they do it?
Because their love means more to them then the pain they have to undergoe to give and receive it.
Now, I'm not going to waste my time researching the bible for answers to give you, because there will always be a counter-argument ready on someones fingertips. Trolls are always happy to give. It seems to be their only good trait.
But I will be realistic with you. Because, believe it or not, homosexuality is an issue in which every society faces, no matter which side you are on: the side in which are homosexual(or bisexual, or transgender, etc.), or the side in which you love someone who is homosexual.
Love always triumphs. Remember that. But its damn hard work. Because in this world love is not always acceptable.

Warning This is Long 'Wow, she is really pretty. Her eyes are gorgeous!' That's when I realized those gorgeous green eyes were staring in my direction. I looked away as quickly as I could but she had to of noticed me gawking. 'And just why were you gawking?' my inner voice questioned accusingly. The gym teacher called us all over to explain the game of the day. Lost in my own thoughts I didn't notice I was in a collision course with green eyes. "Watch it Lesbo!" Those three words froze me where I stood. She continued on laughing with her friends. 'Lesbo? Why would she think I liked girls?' My twelve year old mind didn't have long to think it over, it was time for dodge ball.Warning This is Long3 years ago in Emotional More Like This
The bell rang and we all filed out of the gym to head for our buses. I caught a brief glimpse of green eyes and her friends. They were giggling, but at what? To my horror they all looked in my direction and began laughing harder. I tried to ignore the tight knot tha

wishing she didn't have to hide.

straight away from the cold metal against his head,
crying, praying that this strife
was not because of who he wished to wed.

Alyssa was threatened with death today,
the girls told her to stay away.
The teachers did nothing but look and watch
while Alyssa begged the girls to stop.
Alyssa is wishing, she's wanting, she's praying, haunting.
She's crying, and rocking, tripping, and taunting.
Holding all her feelings inside,
Oh, how Alyssa wishes she didn't have to hide.

ApathyThe world is saturated with causes. Online petitions, political discussions, advocacy groups, charities, and pleas for help saturate the internet, media, and everyday life. It is impossible to get away from them. It seems that everyone has a laundry-list of special causes that they rate you by; you had better measure up to their level of passion or you're probably a terrible person. Sometimes these causes become the grounds for bullying as friends bicker and shun each other over a political opinion. It can be exhausting.Apathy3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
With all these causes out there, it is little surprise that I'm starting to see a backlash of apathy. Any discussion of a charity, a good cause, or a struggle can result in a shut-down. "I don't want to talk about it," one might say, "I don't have time for everyone else's problems." Another gets angry. "So what if I do or do not support your cause? Most people
