A Place to Go
(Yoite x Reader 2)
“Yoite took off again,” Yukimi sighed as he tapped his finger on one of the computer keys impatiently. You frowned deeply and stood, grabbing your coat and your purse.
“That’s odd…he hasn’t taken off since-” You stopped as Yukimi shot you a curious look. “Never mind.”
The drive to the hill wasn’t nearly as enjoyable and carefree as it usually was. You and Yoite had been to that spot several times since his little disappearance act a few months ago; he always asked you to drive him. It bothered you that he would just head out alone, especially considering how cold it was. Snow layered the road and tried to stick to your car as you rushed onward. The higher up you went, the worse the weather became. You had to squint to see where you were going.
As the tall outline of the willow tree became fairly clear amongst the flurry of snowflake

I do not own Knite in any way. Knite is owned by yuumei and I am in no way trying to steal it.
My Kite is dark, under the night sky.
Lights for a tail, I let it fly.
The children, so small, love seeing the stars.
Maybe the light can heal the scars.
The kite flies swiftly, not making a sound.
Then all of a sudden, it swoops to the ground.
A kite with a tail of spikes brings the dark.
When I knew what had happened, it broke my heart.
I go, trying to retrieve my kite.
But the evil one, he has destroyed its light.
I sob in my hands at the light that we lost.
And as I do, my heart turns to frost.
I fashion a new kite, with paper and string.
With the kite in my hands, I give it a fling.
My kite is dark, under the night sky.
Lights for a tail, I let it fly.

Hear the sounds of the piano
Imagine a faraway place
Where the grass is green
The scent of the wind is sweet
And the sun filters through the branches
Secluded, cut off from world's worries
No war, no money, no power, no hunger
No desire, just peace, just the truth
No pain, no ties, no love, no joy
Just the warmth of the sun
And the coolness of the ocean's breeze
As a sudden splash of water hits upon your face,
You have yet to give a reaction, your feelings have left you
You are no longer a human, this peaceful scene is nothing
But a nightmare, where you can no longer feel joy, feel love, feel pain

“Can I open my eyes now?”
“Love you too.”
Donatello led April O’Neil through the cold autumn night, the icy air brushing against their skin. He had set up for this moment for over a month, and nothing was going to ruin it. Not his brothers, not Splinter, not the Purple Dragons, Foot Clan, and most importantly, not the Shredder. This night belonged to Donatello and Donatello alone.
He stopped leading the red head girl and April struggled to peek through Donatello’s hands. The mutant felt himself grin, proud at how smooth everything was going for him.
“Can I open my eyes NOW?”
Donatello dropped his hands and April gasped. He had found a place in the local dump to set down a blanket and picnic. He had rewired an old T.V and DVD player and searched for a good movie the two of them could watch. It wasn’t the most romantic s

“Dad!” April cried as the mutant bat that was once her father flew off into the night sky. She then turn angrily to the turtles, who put their heads down. Though Donnie did try to show her compassion by opening his arm to embrace her. Only to have her step back, shouting “Don't! Don't touch me! You keep away from me! I never wanna see your faces again!” With that, April turned and ran from the warehouse. “April!?” Donnie called for her, though she didn't care. She just ran from the warehouse, being sure to slam the garage door behind her.
April then ran. She had no idea where she was going, as she didn't want to go home without her father, so she just ran. As she got further from the warehouse, April's anger slowly turn to pain. “How could they do this?” She thought to herself as she turned into an alley. April then leaned against the wall, sliding down, until she could wrap her arms around her knees and began sobbing lightly.

And after all,
it is fine

It wasn't uncommon for Tony to go missing for hours, or even days. Usually all it meant was that he was locked away in his lab, working through ungodly hours of the night fueled on nothing but coffee and Chinese food. He'd usually emerge days later, in desperate need of a shower and a shave. Every time he did this Steve would just sigh; because out of all the changes the future had thrust upon him, the technology and the culture, Tony Stark was the most confusing.
Today Tony had only been missing for five hours, which was hardly abnormal. Honestly Steve was pretty sure that most of the Avengers found the lack of his incessant talking quite the relief. Steve probably would have too, if he hadn't needed Tony for a debriefing. Honestly the man missed more meetings than he attended, but today's concerned Stark Industries funds and even thou

Inside an old library, nestled in the heart of the Jinae District, a nine-year-old Marco Bodt was sifting through the endless shelves of books. Clearly, he was in eager search of a good read.
Throughout his childhood, he had literally grown up on stories of heroic figures, all of them chivalrous and just, who served the powers of good and fought against evil. Tales of knighthood in particular were his favourite, especially with the way their protagonists followed a code of pride and honor. These were noble characters who protected the small and the meek, and doled out punishment to those who oppressed them. Ever since Marco was small, he had wanted to follow the example of these heroes, which inspired his dream of someday serving in the Royal Guard. Just like a knight from those old-fashioned tales.
And yet... Marco felt a little disinterested in that today for some reason. He had read just about every story in that genre - t

“Oh h-hey!” You replied diving into them in a warm embrace. “Did you finish class for the day?”
“Uh huh,” he confirmed with a smile. “But we won’t be able to hang out because Marco and Armin invited me to go out tonight. We’re going to the museum of archaeological titan remains.”
“It’s all good!” You replied. “I’ll just chill with Reiner and Annie for tonight then.”
“Sure! I’ll see you later tonight okay?” Bertholdt smiled down at you before bolting off to get ready.

Did you want me there
Was I wrong to trek
Across the world
Was it a waste of time
A waste of money
A waste of heartache
I don’t even have to ask
If I got it all wrong
If I read too much
If it was all just me
I don’t have to entertain
A single thought of doubt
Because I saw your face
Light up at mine
And holy shit
That answers every question

MomentsRemember that time we sat on the bench together, waiting for the bus? You were quiet, like you always were, and I thought nothing of it. But then you turned to me, an unreadable look in your eyes, and you asked me what I liked most about life. I just stared at you, unsure how to answer. “Never mind,” You mumbled. “It was a stupid question.”
“No, no.” I hurried to assure you. “I was just thinking. What I like best about life would probably be all the little moments that happen that end up meaning so much and all the people you meet along the way.” I shrugged and you hummed, turning back to face forward.
You didn’t come to the bus stop the next day.
Remember that hot summer day, the one when it was too hot to even think? I was complaining about how much I was sweating, and you were, as usual, responding with noncommittal noises. The bus was running late that day, and I was cursing every

“I’m tellin’ you, Yukimi, I’ve checked everywhere and I haven’t found him,” you muttered into your cell-phone as you shuffled your way down the sidewalk for the seventh time. People passed by wearing overcoats and jackets. It was a bit chilly, but not unbearably cold. You stopped suddenly and turned your head. “I’ll call you back.”
You backed up slowly, taking long strides, until you were facing a crack between two of the buildings. Sure enough, there he was. If it wasn’t for his beige hat, you never would have found him. You sighed and stuffed your cell-phone into your coat pocket. “Yoite, what are you doing?”
Yoite didn’t respond. He merely shrugged. He was so lanky that it wasn’t hard for him to fit in between the two buildings. You slumped your shoulders and attempted t

Love, Your Baby's Boy - Chapter 1Back and fourth, high creak, then low creak; the tire swing Michelangelo lounged on lazily played a monotonous tune in his idle ears. Raphael and Casey yelling at the hockey game on their twenty-inch, low definition television, he payed no mind to, for it had become as common a sound in their home over the past few weeks as the sound of water running through the pipes all around. Only one time Casey used their television to check the score on an NHL hockey game, and instantly Raph was hooked and the two found yet another common interest.Love, Your Baby's Boy - Chapter 11 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
Mikey couldn't deny to himself that he was envious, but he wasn't sure of who he was more envious of. Just like Donnie identified well with April, and Leo, in some twisted way, identified with Karai, Raph had found a kindred spirit in Casey. Mikey, much to his own humiliation, thought he had found that before, but that person turned out to be using him and is now, as fate would have it, one of his worst enemies.
Then there was Casey, the fun and charmi

Splinter lifted his head and looked around the sewer making sure the coast was clear. Not seeing or sensing anybody else in the vicinity he motioned with his hand for his sons to join him. His sons were coming up to ten years old and capable of shouldering more responsibility but Splinter was always anxious when they left the safety of the lair.
“Keep within sight and search the boxes,” Splinter informed his sons once more.
Raph huffed out a breath but remained silent, he hated all the reminders that their father gave them because they made him feel like his father didn’t think him capable of remembering. He continued to make his displeasure known as he huffed and puffed as he looked through the bags and boxes which had been dumped in the sewer.
Splinter shook his head ignoring Raph’s vocal displeasure, sometimes there was no pleasing that boy. Leonar

April settled back on the floor, legs crossed as much as they were able to in her current condition. The twenty four year old tapped her fingers impatiently, waiting for the DVD to register. Gosh – she’d forgotten about how slow this player was. Good thing they’d be picking up a new one soon.

“Aw man!” the pregnant woman groaned and rocked forward, hands grasping for the remote.
“C’mon, c’mon,” April murmured under her breath. Surely the DVD wasn't too scratched up – it had been in a case in her closet for what was probably years now.
There was a small grunt as a young man settled onto the carpet beside her, one hand reaching out to rub her shoulder as he placed a kiss on her head. “Whatcha up to, Ape?”
“Hm?” April turned and grinned at Casey. “Just going through some stuff I found in the closet.” She gestured to the pile
