Temptation is beauty's fatal allure,
For her promises are never secure.
She calls, she tempts, she bewitches so quick,
Yet her end is ruin, a very cruel trick.
When first sought she brings great pleasure,
Then she fades and also her treasure.
Why does she cause such pain to man?
Was her creation part of His plan?
Eve in the Garden lived unspoiled,
Yet at her feet a serpent lay coiled.
Sweet words of poison came from the snake.
Calling for the forbidden fruit to take.
Then something wicked boiled within,
And her lips yearned for the sweetness of sin.
With a taste her soul evil did know,
And the Lord's work was brought to woe.
My temptation began with a glance.
A beautiful woman I met by chance.
Regal and stunning and all together fair,
A statuesque beauty with scarlet hair.
Porcelain skin and braided tress,
Yet sultry curves hid beneath her dress.
Charm and decorum are at her command,
For her mind is sharp and her wit grand.
Yet her presence is witchcraft to me,
