Exclusive Linearts! Here we are! After seeking for some advice, I followed your ideas and tried to come up with something that could both suit people who like my linearts and meExclusive Linearts!1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
So, Every once in a while, I will draw exclusive linearts that won't be shown here on dA. The rules stay the same, you will be able to use them for whatever you want, and they will also be available in PSD and PNG.
In order to have access to those hidden linarts, the only thing I'm asking for is some advertising! Let me explain how this works:
You either share my facebook page or my website, here on dA (journal entry for example) or on facebook, or anywhere else (forums etc).
Here are two banners you can share:
And the links here:

You send me a link or a screenshot of your advertising, by commenting this journal entry, or by note.
I will get back to you as soon as I can and give you the li

Stock Photo Usage RequirementsIf you would like to use my stock photos feel free to do so. I only have a few simple rules I ask that you abide by.Stock Photo Usage Requirements7 years ago in Personal More Like This
#1: If you are using them on any other site beside DA then I ask that you credit me ON the photo. If you do not please don't even bother using the picture.
#2: If you are using the picture on DA and only on DA then you do not need credits ON the picture you have the option of posting credits on the description.
#3: If you use my stock please send me a link with the picture so I can see what you have done with the picture
#4: You MAY NOT post any of my stock photos on any uploading web site. [Ie: Photobucket, Tinypic... etc]
#5: Have fun using the pictures!!
You always need to:
Credit me & link back to THIS account. THIS account, not my main account. Reason: people tend to follow the link to look for stock when linked to an account in a stock list, but there is no stock on my main account! For linking on dA see :faq81:.Please show me what you've done! You can note me or comment on the image or on my front page, I don't care. If you don't have a dA account, please e-mail me at kuschelirmelgmailcom. NEW: you can also rely on the new mentions system, just remember that for this to work, my username must be linked either via :devkuschelirmel-stock:, :iconkuschelirmel-stock: or by adding the thumb of the resource you used (don't know yet if links to the deviation page work, too). If you want to make sure I get your message and leave a fave, you are welcome to do this the old-fashioned way (comment or note).

I realized the other day that I get quite a few notes with really great questions. Some of the information seemed like it would be useful to others so I figure I would share a handful of them on occasion. The names have been removed and some of the notes have been edited down from the original.
Q: Do you agree with quote that talent is 1% and time spent on drawing, and practicing it is 99%?
A: It's really hard to quantify something like the percentage of talent vs practice when it comes to the quality of your final drawing. I see talent as something more interwoven into someone's ability rather than a "gift" that automatically makes them have a higher degree of skill. For example, someone may grasp an artistic concept faster than others or they might have a better feel for spatial reasoning but they may struggle with other things like color temperature or brush work.
Artwork itself is a multifaceted sk

Tips for ShadingHey y'allTips for Shading3 months ago in Personal More Like This
So, shading black or white can be a real pain, right? Well, I own and have worked on quite a few of these and am here to provide some insight. Please note that any brush/tool suggestions/assumptions are from the latest version of Gimp. If you work in Photoshop, sorry, but I have no idea what it's got. You can follow the other color guides, though Huh, this is kinda turning out to be an all-around shading tutorial (was originally going to just be about black and white)... If you want more, let me know
Black and White:
1. Never start with pure black (#00000) or pure white (#FFFFF).
These are impossible to darken or lighten, respectively, with the Dodge/Burn tool (shading tool of choice). Pure white also tends to be very harsh and takes forever to darken, going to a strange pinkish-yellow (not orange, pinkish-yellow). Black simply does not darken. Additionally, when you lighten it, the color usually lightens far too quickly, leaving more of a contrast t
