The doe-eyed girl peered out the window of Lorule castle. Her fingers traced the indentation of the Triforce on her armor – something she did often. She hung her head in defeat.
"Lorule will be lost forever...unless I do...something..."
Her attendant, Yuga watched her from across the room. "You look so lovely, Your Grace. How I'd love to...paint you..."
Yuga was cut off after Hilda shot him an icy glare. How dare he say something like that when she felt so miserable. She wasn't in the mood to have this moment recorded in a painting. Yuga's idea of 'beauty' was so very incomprehensible, even to her.
"You wish to restore Lorule? I think I may be of some assistance to you." His voice was pleasant and soft.
"How? What could possibly fix this?"
"Come with me. I've made a discovery that I believe you'll be very pleased with." Yuga gri
Oh Great You Again (Chapter 1)felt my body again as my magenta eyes began to slowly open. I could see the dark night sky being lit up by just thousands upon thousands of stars, and the moon just perfect as always. Why did my body feel so heavy? Maybe because it was for the first time I actually relaxed without being always on the edge. My head was hurting a bit, but I don't remember what even knocked me out in the first place. As my eyes adjusted I remembered that I had been walking into one of the temples and then everything went black. Damn it! Why wasn't I more aware of my surroundings more often? Nevermind that. As I got up, I felt that my hat was gone.Oh Great You Again (Chapter 1)10 months ago in General Fiction More Like This
I began to take in more of my surroundings, I noticed I was in the Temple somewhere...laying on this altar or something. Oh Hell..whoever it was didn't want to finish me off so quickly. Who could it be this time? As I got up, I noticed I was up rather high and had to get down by a flight of stairs..like always in every Temple there was so many bucking ste

I let out a deep breath, opening my eyes. They see nothing, just a lovely sunset. The colors red and yellow are mixing together, reminding me again of us.
I sit down on the edge of the rooftop, waiting on limited time. I hope he comes before its too late Im sorry.
I saw him from behind the doorway, sitting at his desk, slumped over. It was my birthday, and he looked as if he went through war. His hair was messed up, his clothes frumpy. It was like he didnt care about his appearance anymore. I sighed to myself. Smile Sollux. Its my birthday.
Karkat approached Sollux, placing a hand on his shoulder in comfort. YO, SOLLUX, Karkat said in greeting. The mustard blood barely even looked up. Karkat sat down next to him, handing him a small card. I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR YOU TODAY, BUT HERE. PASS IT ON TO HER FOR ME, OKAY? At that, Sollux started to tear up. SHIT MAN, IM SORRY-- Karkat be

i think to myself that humans are made
out of sinew and bone and tissue and if god hasn’t
found a way to love us bloodily and morbidly
then he will never be able to look past any
of our self-taught imperfections.

all that i am is a series of mistakes stacked

of who i am has lived in a blackness so absolute
that the only light i had was the one i created for myself.

The Heart of a StrayEyes, misty jasper,The Heart of a Stray10 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
A misty sun over mire.
Scars as uneven as the broken metro tracks,
But like tracks they lead to somewhere,
Running parallel to a scarred heart.
Paws and a broken tail that bleed,
The scent of sorrow and happiness,
Mingling on a grey pelt, ledger of fear and anger
And fought-for hopes wrote red on skin.
Eyes, the misty jasper, the misty sun,
That look away and back, and away again.
Eyes as round as a wheel, a marble, a life,
Perfect in all its scars and self-smote red,
Perfect in all its imperfections, perfect,
Because two broken parts can make a whole,
Broken parts like cracked ice
Merging in the frost of winter, broken, but
Perfect, and sad and fearful, and hopeful
And finding peace, finally finding peace.

why your teeth always chattered
like fingers clicking on a typewriter,
and why your fingernails
looked as though faint, blue ink
had bled through
but who questions anything
at the age of sixteen
and maybe I should have noticed
the lunches you spent
or listening to music,
as you gave away your lunch,
because you said
you were not hungry-
and I silently thought
more for me
and maybe I should have wondered
why you walked through the hallways
with pockets of graphite
under your eyes,
as your knees knocked together
like keys on a lanyard:
and maybe then
I wouldn't sit here with guilt
that eats at me-
like you never did.

When I walk by?
The first thing I hear
When I wake up?

Jenny's Really Long Webcomic Guide
I have been getting quite a few emails and questions about starting up your own webcomic, so I decided to compile all the articles I'd written before into this one comprehensive guide.
This massive wall of text has several sections:
- How to start
- Getting the story started
- Readership & research
- The Internets!
These are my own guidelines, based on my own experiences, and these are my solutions to the problems and issues I have encountered along the way. This is not necessarily the one true way. There are probably many different solutions to any problem. And a bajillion books on this very subject too. But regardless of what I have to say, do what works for you!
So take your bathroom breaks now, because you'll be here for a bit! Sit tight and enjoy my blathering!
Part One: "How do you start a webcomic?" A Short Question... with a big, long, friggin' answer.
