What A Prince Does - Part 1What A Prince Does - Part 14 years ago in Romance More Like This
Madness had enveloped the ballroom of the Canterlot Castle. Animals from Celestia's normally very peaceful menagerie ran amok, attacking guests willy nilly, driving them from the room. Applejack had managed to dodge harm so far, but many of the high class mares and stallions around her were not so lucky. Their glimmering jewelry attracted the animals' attention, and most had already fled. All except one, who had been hit by a falling statue and was lying frightening still, not moving even while being pecked by a flock of perturbed toucans.
Applejack heard Twilight whistle and saw her wave for them to run. Applejack was about to race after them, but looked back at the unconscious pony. She vaguely recognized him, but it was hard to tell from under the blanket of angry birds. She hesitated, then rushed toward him, yelling at the top of her lungs and bucking the birds out of her way. She reached the pony, a unicorn stallion, and grabbed him by the collar with her teeth, dragging him out o

It was Christmas Eve and before you could go home and watch 'A Christmas Story' with your mom, you had presents to deliver. You skipped up the two steps and knocked on the door. It opened a few seconds later.
"Oh (name)! Merry Christmas dear!"
Mrs.Hudson wrapped her arms around you and enveloped you in a hug.
"Merry Christmas Mrs.Hudson." You smiled. "Are Sherlock and John in?"
"Of course, go on up."
You sped past her and bounded up the stairs like an excited child. Your pace slowed as you reached their flat's door and knocked lightly. Footsteps shuffled behind the door and it swung open to reveal John in a plaid button-up shirt and jeans. He looked a bit surprised to see you.
"Oh, (name) hello, Merry Christmas."
You smiled brightly and hugged him tight. "Merry Christmas John."
"Come on in."
You stepped into the now familiar flat to see Sherlock on the couch

You opened the door to 221B quickly, almost bumping into the older woman who had leant you her hairdryer for your first date with Jim. She didn’t seem to notice you though, she was more focused on the heated voices and banging noises coming from upstairs. “What’s going on?” you ask her, watching her jump at the sound of your voice.
“Oh, you scared me dear,” she sighed placing a hand on her chest. Her face fell as the voices became more intense. “And I don’t know, but it’s worrying.”
Frowning, you started to ascend the stairs two at a time, to have the woman call after you, “Who are you, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s just that… you look like you’re close to Sherlock, and that’s a strange thing to see with him.”
“I’m his sister, (F/n) Holmes,” you say hastily, offering her a customary nod of your head without breaking your stride. “And I am very close t

Your eyes widened as you pulled the triple chocolate fudge mudcake out of the oven that occupied a large area of Mycroft’s extravagant kitchen, almost dropping it on your feet as you hurried to the hide the fact that you were indeed baking. “You did tell me, and I’m honouring that rule, I promise!” you shout in reply, throwing the cake on a cooling rack and then tossing a towel over the top in an attempt to conceal it.
“If that is the case, why do I detect traces of cake in the air?”
“You don’t!” you lie, your voice strained by the amount of effort you were putting into scraping off cake batter which had set like concrete on the marble countertop. “Perhaps you’re just craving it and your brain is perceiving the regular scent of the air to be cake. Groaning, you slid against the wall of the wardrobe, knocking over several of Sherlock’s shirts as you did so. Throwing them aside, you pulled out your phone and called Jim. The response was almost instantaneous; his normally jovial voice was laced with concern. “Are you okay?” he asked quickly.
“Hmm? Oh yeah Jim, I’m fine,” you answer, brushing a (h/c) lock from your face in confusion.
“Good, good,” he sighed. “Sorry about all the calls and messages and whatnot. It’s just, looking the way you were… anything could have happened. Especially in confined cab w

"And now, we have a special presentation for Aiko." I saw Jun approach me slowly. He was wearing something that suited him, but obviously was not what he normally wore, as I always saw him wear black.
"Aiko, I know we've only known each other for a short amount of time, but I feel like I've known you my entire life." He knelt down on one knee, what was he doing? He didn't need to bow to me. "Aiko Noriaki, will you marry me?" I gasped, marriage? It's been my dream, he's Jun, maybe not my Jun but a better Jun, a Jun who loves me, and I love him.
"With all my heart, yes, Jun. I will marry you." His eyes gleamed as he pulled out a gleaming platinum ring studded with purple lapis lazuli. How did he know that was my favou

Consumed in a frustrating inability
To construct a poetic sentence
For one is trapped in an exasperating moment where
So many words cannot be penned
Thus so many emotions that cannot be expressed
And so many insights that cannot be shared
All to blame on the burden called a writers block
A writers nightmare diagnosis
But one must let time heal
This temporary feeling of wordlessness
And one must let inspiration reopen
This blockage of poetic emptiness
For a writers next epiphany will soon come.

I fabricate a smile
To deceive all those who surround me
Just so they are unable to enjoy the pleasure
Of witnessing my pain.
Our hearts deceive our minds
Into believing that our love is reciprocated
When in truth, it is as one-sided

I sat up, the blanket on me slipping off and revealing my naked body. I yelped and pulled the blanket back up, cheeks turning a bright red. Sighing, I slid out of bed and quickly put on some underwear and a big T-shirt that fell to my mid thighs. “Relax, I was just checking on you. Oliver told me to keep an eye on you.” Al said.

There was a time when that would be the end of Celestia's daily duties, but these days, there was one final task she had to perform. Turning around, she now faced the east.
Closing her eyes once more, her horn began to glow again as she focused her power into moving yet another important part of the world. Slowly, the pale white orb rose above the eastern horizon until it hung gracefully in the night sky. What followed was a swarm of tiny dots of light which surrounded the orb and the blackn

"A little bit, Princess, thank you," Twilight allowed, taking a long sip from her glass of water before softly setting it back on the table.
At a glance, it appeared little had changed in the appearance of the group in the twenty minutes since Princess Luna had finished relating Twilight's mishap from the night before. However, closer inspection would reveal an empty plate that once held a sandwich in front of Big Macintosh and bowls of salad ranging from partially eaten to just a few leaves remaining at Fluttershy, Rarity, and Luna's places. As for the others, they had opted for refills for their glasses of water, except for Pinkie, whose face remained submerged in her bowl. Twilight was convinced that the pink pony was somehow breathing through her ears.
"So who wants to go next and tell us their side of what happened last night?" Twilight asked.

She approached the stone and gently sat down. Her gaze never left the etchings, which had been partly obscured by moss and ivy. Carefully, making sure not to damage thje stone, she used her hoof to brush the plants away, revealing the markings more clearly. As she looked upon them, her expression, which until then had been fairly stoic, eventually began to morph into one of pain. Her eyes shut tightly as they began to well up.
