A part of you didn't want it to be morning, the fact of who you would be destined to face once you left the comfort of your room looming over your head like a dark storm cloud. Arching your back, grimacing at the pain that tingled along your spine, you swung your legs over the edge of your small bed, feet brushing tepidly across the cold, wooden floor beneath your warm flesh. Your head swam with images of the prior day's events, and you would be absolutely certain that it had all been a dream had your lips still not burned in memory of the Reaper's kiss. A heavy scarlet decorated your cheeks as you recalled the feeling, leaving you a stumbling mess as you crossed over to your wardrobe, movements almost robotic as you dressed for the day.
