This feeling in my heart, it isn't right.
My innermost desires watching me
calling for something I can never be.
My soul like the keys on a piano
screams inside my mind like a soprano.
The darkness in my heart scratching my mind
eternally survives, devoid of time.
I wish I could be all you'd ever want
I would surpass all I've ever been taught.
But I could never be what you expect
so my love for you you will not detect.
Silent like the moonless night I will stay,
I will not love you as I wish I may.

But he did. The moment she saw the letter, she could feel her heart twist. Only moments before, she had seen a dream where she had seen him walk away from her. No matter how many times she called out, tried to reach for him- she never reached.
Picking up the letter, she bit her lip and opened it. No... no no no. From the first words alone, she knew.
This was Goodbye.
Tears threatening to fall, she shut the door and ran to her room. Reading the rest of the poem just made her want to cry more. Halfway through it her vision became too blurry to continue, but she forced herself to read on.
At the final words, she let the paper drop from her fingers.
Do not cry.
DO NOT CRY
But no matter how much she tried not to, she did. Because she had cared. She had cared and even though she knew it would hurt her, she loved.
And it hurt.
Smile? How could she smile? When he was with her, he was the one of the

Clement's gaze shifted between these words, and the pen clutched in his hand. Letter writing had never been the doll's forte -he was much more accustomed to hastily scribbled notes- so being forced to write one for an assignment was challenging.
And yet he smiled. All because he was remembering the warm, golden glow of a certain shadowmancer's eyes. His eyelids fell closed, as his new friend's face was brought to mind, and he tapped his pen against the desk absentmindedly. Difficult as letter writing may be, choosing a person to write to was easy.
Thinking up words, proper words, to describe the extent of his thanks....this wasn't easy. How could words do his feelings any justice? Clement was not a poet, nor a writer of any sort; he was a dream eater and servant. The arts were out of his reach. He had a small pile of crumpled paper to prove it.
I must admit that I'm not entirely sure what will be achieved by writing to you, but I have an assignment t

The howling wind embraced you and you felt the cold scratching your uncovered face. You cursed under your breath, leaving the hiding and aiming the rabbit. It wasn't much, but it would have to be enough.
The winter that year was harsh and the road to the closest city were closed because of the snow storms, for that reason, the small rodent was your best chance of having a nice dinner. You pressed the trigger and observed as the arrow met its target, stealing a small whimper from the poor animal.
You smiled, resting your forehead agains a tree before putting the crossbow on your back and catching the dead rabb

But, currently his knees were wobbly with nerves.
He was sat sheepishly at the side whilst Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow and Iron Man trawled through the suit department of a high-end store. Steve, not being one for ostentation, had recommended a slightly less upmarket shop but Tony had insisted, saying if you were going to get a suit then you might as well get the best one possible. He had also offered to foot the bill, knowing that Thor didn't actually have any money of his own. Or at least, none that was considered acceptable coinage in this realm.
The store attendants were looking at the ragtag group nervously, particularly unnerved by the burly blonde who was carrying a big ornate mallet for apparently no reason.
Thor turned his head as he not

"We need to get you out of this alley, Tony's going to pick us up, and I don't think you can walk right now."
The God's eyes narrowed at that, and part of Steve was glad to see his pride was still her. He wasn't broken. The Trickster pushed off from the wall, standing up as best he could. Steve almost thought he could manage it, impressed, when he found himself darting forward as the God swayed dangerously on the spot, face drained of all colour.
"That's what I thought. Come on, I'm not gonna hurt you, Loki. I just want to help." Steve held his breath in wait, letting it out in one big huff as Loki lightly nodded his consent to being lifted. Steve swung the injured party into his arms, careful not to aggravate any injuries, grabbing his phone from the fl

I started to feel bloated, but I just attributed that to being pregnant. But, I was actually starting to bloat up, as I heard the bottoms of my jeans rip open as the lower parts of my legs started to widen, both due to fat and bone growth. Eventually, my long jeans became shorts, as my legs continued to grow, reaching insane sizes for my body size. And that wasn’t even the end, as when my calves stopped widening, my thighs started to widen as well. To be fair, it wasn’t as drastic as the bottom half of my legs, as they ended up the same size as my calves, but they did double in size, becoming quite attractive hips. But, of course, this ends up destroying the rest of my wonderful white jeans, leaving just a pair of panties to cover my privates. And of course, that changed as changes started to come from behind; my butt started to fatten, like the rest of my lower body, but at a much faster and more stimulating way. Soon, my quite petite bottom was three times its size, becom

Archealogist Dan Pierce had just discovered a tunnel entrance between the front paws of the Great Sphinx. His heart pounded through his tan denim vest as he took of his hat and wiped the sweat off of his forehead. He took a deep breath and walked down the stone steps.
The doorways inside the tomb were massive, which puzzled Dan. No other tombs had doorways so big. The tomb itself ws a maze of corridors. Some hallways looked the same, but Dan didn't worry. He knew that Egyptians did this often to confuse tomb raiders. He walked through a doorway and into a large room. The only thing in the room was a large alter in the middle of it. Dan walked up to the alter and used his brush to sweep off the dust on the top. He noticed that on the platform, there was a gold chain necklace. The pendant on the front was in the shape of a cross, but the top part looked to be an oval cut in half and had the two ends squished together. He put the necklace on and was about to explore m

It was several months ago, and I was daydreaming in class, not paying any attention to what was happening around me, or what Ms. Harlow, my psychology teacher, was lecturing on about. Just then, I heard Ms. Harlow say "perhaps you can tell us, Mr. Cooper." I just nervously, and sporadically looked around, and responded, in a nervous tone "umm...the answer....is...umm..." Ms. Harlow smiled at me and, in a sarcastic voice, proclaimed "well, glad to say see that you're paying attention, next time however try not to day dream, or I will give the class extra work to do."
Then I saw her turn to the board, write down several words and continue with her lecture. I just sat through her entire lecture, trying to pay attention, and as soon as the bell rang I was out of there. I ar

He did not need help. He simply wanted to be left alone. He did not really see the letters on the page. His eyes slid over to his left hand bound in bandages. The bones had been set the pain of it had sent a convulsion through him hed not been ready for it. The Healer Brother had hissed at the others, Malik among them, to hold him still. Altair had tried to will a calmness but failed. He had closed his eyes, seeking that familiar calm space but could not find it. It eluded him. His Spirit was unresponsive. He had spent the last weeks trying to find it again. He was angry and miserable. His attempts at covering it and maintaining some sort of tenuous control were failing.

Nijika sighed as she sat on the porch with her bedroom door open to let in the damp, cool air of the night. The moon blazed with a silver intensity, no clouds in sight. The stars shined brightly, and as one of her favourite past times, Nijika enjoyed to watch and pick out constellations on the dark, starry sky. Thus it was no surprise that she liked to study astronomy, as she knew it could aid her in any future missions to find home after memorising the positioning of the stars. A cool breeze whistled past her ear, ruffling her dark red –often humorously described as ginger- hair, the strands dancing with the wind. She watched the ripples in the small pond in her back garden disturb the floating reflection of the stars, their images distorting, the once full image splitting into multiple sections, each of them isolated, kind of like a lonely heart from everyone else.

Growing Up. 1 (tf)Mikael yawned as he rolled out of bed, hands reaching out to pull a pair of thin wiry glasses over his small green eyes. The fuzzy darkness that surrounded him resolved into a much clearer, sharper darkness, and the boy levered himself upright, fighting to remember his dream. It had been a good one, something cool with dragons flying in it, with fire and explosions and such excitement that only now was his heart calming in his chest for some reason whose details were already eluding him. Didn’t matter, a flick of the light-switch showed that his room was just the same as it had been when he fell asleep- dingy, confined with his messy bed taking up most of it, and the remaining space occupied by an old set of drawers, and a wardrobe.Growing Up. 1 (tf)1 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Silence had fallen over Jotunheim. It rung eerily in the ears of the soldiers that picked their way carefully amongst the bodies of the fallen. After spending so long living in the din of battle, the silence made the survivors almost feel uneasy. Astride his horse, Odin surveyed the aftermath of the long fought war through his remaining eye. Grimly, soldiers inspected the bodies of the fallen looking for wounded comrades and slaying any Jotuns that still dared to draw breath.
Odin had not felt so secure in a very long time. The rush of victory pulsed through his veins; more intoxicating than the finest mead. Laufey was finally defeated and sent back into his hole to skulk. The Casket of Ancient Winters was secured and on its way to the weapons vault deep beneath Asgard and with it went the Jotun’s power. At last, peace would come to the nine realms.
