His Deepest Condolences
Doors reeled in halfway, grungy air wafting in the sounds of choking zoomers and idle chatter. The pale, waning blue of the sky just visible around the lumbering racing coliseum.
Just another day at the garage. I knew someone was scheduled for an appointment, but my eyes had glanced off the name.
I know it's bad for business, but I've been ignoring a lot of things like that lately- taking them at the moments value, because I've been feeling so tired. Drained before I even get to work, caught up with all the horrible things that've been going on. They stick with me a little too much. Dax getting… getting so hurt and all, it's really torn us up.
Tess was hysterical for a week. Nothing could calm her down, and she wanted to be with me every second. But…Jak isn't even staying with me most nights, and even when he does, he's always silent. Slipping in and out of every room like a ghost
