I opened my eyes to feel the warm glow of the morning on my face. As I stretch my muscles, my senses began to feel more alert. I covered my eyes from the sunlight and breathed in the scent of the sheets that covered me. I threw my right arm to the other side of the bed looking for Tifa's body, but couldn't feel her warmth; so I turned my head to her spot and to my surprise, she was no longer beside me. I had woken up in an empty bed. At first I felt left out for not having her next to me, but then I remembered that she had always been a morning person, so it was expected that she woke up early to do the house work.
I didn't want to leave her bed yet, so I laid back and stuffed one of her pillows to inhale deeply her sweet scent. Everything in that room smelled just like her. The fragrance of her perfume was intoxicating. I was still trying to process everything that happened last night. Was it all a dream? Am I still dreaming? As soon as I realized this, a wave of anxiety came over me.

Damn him! I kick the bedpost and immediately regret it. I wince in pain as my toe throbs inside my boot. Ugh! Tifa, why the hell do you let Cloud Strife get to you like this! He is an asshole! Stubborn, selfish, confusing, clueless and I sigh and sit down on the bed. absolutely perfect in everyway. My head falls into my hands as I try to catch my breath, which is still strained from my sprint up the stairs in tears. Even without the extra activity my breath would have been labored; it always is when I think about Cloud. Why does he have this effect on me?
I focus on breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. Everything is going to be fine. In and out. Cloud is just Cloud. In and out. Then I hear it, the one sound I had known without a doubt I was going to hear, and yet it was the one thing I had prayed with all my might would not s

I pass through the gate into the wide barren landscape and immediately open the throttle. Aahhhh. This feels so good. I inhale deeply, taking in the fresh, un-polluted air. As I fly over the rocky terrain, I begin to think about the events that had led to todays trip. This month after the Reunion has been a learning experience full of trial and error.
When we had gotten home that night, after sitting and talking for a few hours with all of our friends who had come back to the bar to celebrate with us, I offered to put the kids to bed. Denzel had asked me to explain Geostigma to him and about my battle with Kadaj and Sephiroth. I explained everything I knew and gave him a run down of the fight. I expected it to frighten him some, but to my surprise he had just looked at me seriously and said, Im just glad you are home, before rolling over and dozing off. My heart warm

My first thought when I woke up from returning from what I assumed was the Lifestream was where am I? That passed quickly as my eyes adjusted and I found myself in Aerith’s church surrounded by kids in water.
“It’s like she said wait here and Cloud will come back.” One of the girls said
“Welcome back” Marlene said making me look at my friends before finally resting on Tifa. Right then and then I felt so grateful that I had her by my side through all this even though I had been a jerk and hurt them more by leaving her and the kids than I would if I had stayed.
“I’m back” I say but before Tifa says anything its Red XIII that speaks up
“There are still children with the stigma” as he says that Tifa brings Denzel into view.
“Let’s get you fixed up” I hear Tifa say to Denzel
“Come on. I'm here” I say as I reach an arm out toward Denzel
“It’s okay” Tifa whispers b

Where is it that path? Has it always been this far out? This familiar drive seems to be taking a thousand times longer today than it ever has before, probably due to my eagerness to get back home. As I drive, the ache in my chest throbs, reminding me of the ache I had felt when I awoke from my dream that night, the dream that had started all of this. As soon as my mind starts to wander, I suddenly see it; just ahead, on a short ledge along the rocks, I see the last remaining physical evidence of the bravest man I ever knew. I rev Fenrir again and nearly fly over the last remaining distance between the old buster sword and me.
I skid to a halt and kill the engine, squinting to see. I dismount Fenrir slowly, listening intently for a sign that he is there. As the dust from my arrival settles, I walk toward the place where the large sword marks the exact location my friend had fallen. I approach it carefully, examining the damage time and nature have caused. I run my gl

"Midgar is so cold on nights like this," she observed, kneeling beside a Mako furnace in the alley beside Goblin's Bar, in the entertainment block of Sector 8's plate. She was chilly, in her short-sleeved demi-jacket, but despite the cool air she was smiling. It was already spring, and her flowers were blooming again down in the church in Sector 5. Her flowers were the only plants that flourished in Midgar. Even in the homes of the wealthy, real live plants did not last long. Midgar was a place of people and machines. The rats in the slums could not outnumber the human populace of this megalopolis.
She stood, her hands still clasped together for warmth, the basket hanging from the crook of her arm bouncing gently against her hip. Midgar was full of people, and if she was lucky tonight, a few of them might see the value in the rare beauty of

Pairing: Cloud and Tifa
Timeline: About six months after FFAC
It was a regular day at Seventh Heaven, the bar Tifa Lockheart saw as her home. Her role as bartender was one she loved to play. Just like she loved to play the role of a mother to both Denzel and Marlene. She was always the first one to get up and get dressed. Then she would go downstairs and make breakfast for them.
It was just about half a year ago that Cloud Strife had defeated the remnants of Sephiroth, his “living legacy” as some would call it. Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz had put up quite a fight and Cloud was in need of help when Tifa, Yuffie, Barret, Cid, Caith Sith and Vincent Valentine came to his aid. Tifa still remembers how she felt when Sephiroth entered the stage and he was determined to fight Cloud. It reminded her of their last battle against the tall man with silver hair in his black leathered costume. She didn’t want to relive the nightmare, yet t

The roar of an engine died down outside Seventh Heaven as a tall, lanky man with blonde hair dismounted from his bike. It was a scene that has repeated itself over and over again every night at different hours. The faint jingling sound of keys soon followed and the man fumbled with the door lock a moment before creeping slowly into the darkened room within.
His sparkling, mako blue eyes scanned the dimly lit room, glancing over the many empty tables and chairs arranged in neat rows about the room. He quietly closed the heavy door behind him.
As he crept across the room, he noted that it was very clean and orderly. The floors and tables were polished to an almost sparkling sheen while the bottles behind the bar counter were placed in neatly on the shelves behind, just like every night after the b

I wasn’t feeling well that particular morning. Probably the lack of sleep. But what bothered me the most was my head flooded with thoughts. I guess I need another cup of coffee.
I was skimming through the daily paper on the corner of the lounge, until my attention turned to a few thumps from the staircase. My heart stopped for a moment when I realized who it was.
Tifa woke at her usual time, busying with what seemed like breakfast ingredients and began to hum a tune while mixing the sloppy batter for pancakes. She didn't notice my presence until she came closer to serve the table in front of the lounge.
“Oh my goodness,” She said surprised, and then exhaled with a hint of laughter. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
“I find that hard to believe.” I raised an eyebrow, amused.
She began setting the plates which gave a loud thudding noise. “Why are you up so early?”
“I uh... My alarm went off before and couldn’t fall as

The creak of the front door opening catches me a little off guard. I hadn't expected her to get here so quickly, but then again I had no idea where she had actually been when the kids called her; apparently she had been fairly close. Shego just raised her eyebrow.
After.. Alright? Kim said and she crossed her arms. Eat up.. or do you want me to feed you?
Ill just handle that myself. Shego said with a chuckle.
Ill give you some clothes that you can wear today.
Shego looked up at Kim and frowned. Kimmie.. I can wear my suit..

I am lonely as I walk down this path.
Others have a hand to hold,
but I only have my dark shadow
to keep me from total solitude.
I wish to cry out for help,
but who would dare come near
one who reeks of death and bitterness?
They stay away out of wisdom.
But that they'd disobey for a single time!
I am angry at what I see in myself,
but who'd be willing to see me change?
Everyone disappears at my voice,
killing me in their abandonment.
How am I to survive the harshness of winter
without a coat to keep me warm?
Does a polar bear survive the
tundra without his fur?
I will lay my head here and rest,
for I am so tired.
A sleep lasting until the End.

I feel my eagerness to get back to Tifa and make her mine. I also feel a gaping hole in my mind where that tiny part of Zack had still been living though me and yet, at the same time, my mind is overflowing with the knowledge that he and Aerith will always be with me in my heart.
I reach into the compartment where I had stuffed my things from the church and pull out the yellow flower. With my hand, I scoop the dirt away until there is a hole large enough for the flower to fit. After placing the flower inside, I gently cover it back up with dirt and reach in my pocket for my canteen. Damn. Empty.

Rydia: Heart and Heartache
As the school bell rang, the door burst open and a congregation of children ran out into the roads of Mist. Rydia let go of the bell's rope and rushed to the open doorway.
"Have a good day, children! Don't get into any trouble!" she called.
Some of her students turned around and waved at her. Rydia waved back, a pleasant smile spreading onto her face. They then turned around and ran into the town. She was very pleased; her pupils had worked hard today, and she wondered which one had that potential inside of them.
Musing to herself, she walked back into the school housewhich was also her ho

“It’s bedding. I figure, since you insist on being uncooperative, we can probably afford you a few nights’ sleep before we break you. Can I come in?”
