I was commissioned by Playstation to create a piece of fan art on The Last of Us Remastered for their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/PlayStationAU… And being as pumped as I am for the game it made for great motivation, I really enjoyed doing this, and I've been playing through the game lately and loving it! It looks so perfect on PS4!
I've been meaning to do a piece of fan art for this for a while now, Big Boss is one of my favourite characters in the gaming world so I had a lot of fun making this.
I've played the game through a few times now, it's so good and what a great build up to The Phantom Pain. This pic was a bit of a challenge, I'm trying to add more details to my line work these days, and I want my backgrounds to be more detailed too. The rain was fun to work with, I haven't had to work with wetness in a while so it was challenging.
Don't forget if you're interested in learning how to do art like this, you can enroll in my classes:
I felt inspired to do another Grand Theft Auto V picture, I had been playing through the storyline again it just really hit me, I absolutely love this game! I couldn't let the motivation go to waste so I put pencil to paper, pen to tablet and here we have it. I wanted Michael to have a bit more focus this time, I went with a bit more of a basic standing pose for each, just for a change of pace.
The best part is, there's no wait! The class is ready to dive into right now, it's filled with 20 video lessons and a bunch of steps, all covering line work, colouring, shading & lighting, detailing and how to create backgrounds. I started from a sketch and recorded the entire process to a final piece, all explained in fine detail.
The class gives you complete freedom, there are no time frames, it's all at your own pace. And once enrolled you have complete access to the class material, you can go back and forth as you please, replay the videos, nice and easy.
I'm really glad I got the chance to show my digital art process, especially based on my favorite game The Last of Us, I've always been about fan art and thought this would be the best thing for the class, to do what I love most and show you.
Grand Theft Auto V is only 6 days away! I wanted to do something for the launch of the game and this is what I've come up with. I really wanted to do something that uses all three protagonists in one scene, so here we have a bit of a gang shootout that takes part in a robbery, you can see the armored truck in the distance.
I really can't wait for GTA V, it's so close but the days are going so slow, it's going to be amazing. You can expect many more GTA V artworks to come, I am planning on doing a GTA V Online piece of fan art too.
I will also be doing a GTA V review once I have a good play through of the game, if you haven't seen my new review section, check it out: patrickbrownart.com/reviews/
