Larry the Happy BunnyLarry the Happy Bunny8 years ago in Humor More Like This
It was a beautiful day and Larry the bunny was hopping merrily through the forest. The sun was shining, the breeze was cool and best of all; Larry was in love.
Her name was Brumhilda and she was the most ravishing bunny in the forest. Larry sighed dreamily. He had finally managed to score a date with the furry goddess.
Larry paused. 'Hmm, it's our first date; maybe I should pick her some flowers or something.' He thought.
Larry stooped down and grabbed the first piece of flora that caught his eye.
"Ow, thistles!"
Sucking on his wounded paw, Larry decided against the flowers and instead opted to give Brumhilda some gourmet carrots.

Hoping to pull you back
To when you were different.
For today
Your lips no longer breathe the quintessence of infancy
Or the dynamism of junior high.
Today
They whisper the sounds of acceptance
Infidelity
Avariciousness
And lust.
They exhale the euphoria of nothing
And instead
Replace it with qualms
And tears
And blood.
The echoes of your silence
Do not falter
And though I exhale the innocence
Of forgotten solitude
I am only joking.
It is you that has forgotten.

The Truth Behind TunaThe Truth Behind Tuna8 years ago in Humor More Like This
Urchin swam merrily through the surf. Today was his birthday and he couldn't wait to get home. His fin glinted in the sun as he flipped over and dove into the pristine depths of the ocean.
Urchin wove in and out of the seaweed humming an ancient tune to himself. He was so caught up in his bliss that he missed the fishing net skimming the depths in search of fish.
The net grazed his fin. Urchin let out a mighty yelp as the net ensnared him. He struggled, but nothing he did could free him.
*
The fishermen, feeling the added weight in the net began to hoist it up.
"Oi, Larry this is pretty heavy. I wonder what we caught this time.

What do you know about Walmart greeters? A lot, or a little? Are they just people who enjoy saying "Welcome to Walmart!" all the time, with big smiles and acting like they enjoy their job, getting paid a dollar an hour? Well, you're wrong, at least about this certain Walmart happy-happy-joy-joy-go-getter.
Paul Wittamaker was about 52. He wasn't married or anything, had no kids, and lived in Hartford, Connecticut. If you lived in his town, or was friends with him, you'd say he was a nice guy. Loving, caring, and he always had a smile. Yeah, he seemed that way, but deep down, beneath his soft, cheerful shell, an explosion of rage, terror and

Stain your pretty face
As eyes of coal
Look down in disgrace
How many times must I whisper?
Just what you mean to me
How many times must we stumble?
Just so you remember my name
I never wanted to control you
But now I see I hold you
I never believed that I'd open you
Until you cut yourself open for me
I wanted to brand you
So others knew that you were mine
I wanted to world to see
Just how much you could shine
But I never could stop those lurking tears
Even if you say you're alright
I never really could hold you tight enough
And bring you into the light
And now you're sobbing
Body shakes in violent trembl

Blood spattered walls
Hands splayed-
Friends betrayed
The carpet's stained
Voices gone-
Was it so wrong?
The gun's still hot
Blood still runs-
This can't be undone
What did you say?
Last night-
During the fight?
I can't remember-
Did you scream?
Did my anger gleam?
How did it get so bad?
Had to silence you-
Took the devil's cue.
And now I hear the siren
Come to take me-
Chain me.
This is good-bye my friend
Deeds are done-
But the game's not won.
You drove me too far
The trigger had to pulled-
My story had to be told.

Fly high as angels bleed dry
As archangels give a final cry
To the dawn we glide
On the wings of those who have died
Our breaths mingle, ice and fire laced sighs
To eternity we fall
As life continues its monotone drawl
As we become destiny's porcelain dolls
To forever we're sewn
Two souls never owned
It's better than to be alone
To nowhere we're bound
Gasping as our buried needs are found
In this lying voice, on day we'll all drown…

Splayed and broken before me
And as the light dulls
Your eyes are all I can see
You are bloody and dying
Cries having faded away
Your lips are torn with your fruitless lying
Your body ready for my sadistic plays
Your arch and die a little more
With my every aching thrust
Your body and soul will be sore
By morning though, you will be dead by your mistrust
After we're done my thirst will live on
Your body will never quite sustain me
Even once your bloodied virginity is gone
This blood thirst will live on for no one to see

And so your cries, I came, so pained
And now your body is spent
Left in angles so grotesque
You were mine, your virginity lent
You are the most arousing mess…

Anarchy to your military ruled steel-station

Abortion, contortion, new age distortion
Destruction of the corporal corruption
Sickness spread to the masses now dead
You and I separate, sanity sent to a comatose state
Hated, jaded, overly intoxicated

Second BestI know he's not thinking of me now.Second Best7 years ago in Philosophy & Perspectives More Like This
He never thinks of me. I'm never once the first thing on his mind, I'm always lagging behind. His eyes are closed right now, and he looks so peaceful, in his drunken slumber. I have to wonder how someone who can create such a war inside me can ever look so peaceful.
Sighing, I roll onto my back, off my side, and stare up at the hotel room ceiling. The room is dark, lit by the light cast from a streetlamp outside, through the crack in our curtains. I can hear his even breathing, and the sounds of the streets outside.
I groan and close my eyes, try to block everything out. But all I get is a repeat of w

A flock of robins fed on the plentiful worms that sprung up after last night's storm. Suddenly something moved in the background. It was a cat. Its black fur glistened in the warm noon time sun. I held my breath and kept a watchful eye on the cat, waiting for… something… something to happen on a boring mid spring day. The cat tensed, ready to pounce. The breeze stopped in mid sentence, sensing the danger and waiting for the kill. Why isn't anyone there to help me out of here?
Am I out of my mind?
Or am I just lost inside my head?

You said that you would be right back
You retraced your tracks
You knew what you were doing
Yet I didn't have a clue
I thought you really cared
I didn't know what you were going to do
You said to lie down on your bed
To let things flow
You started do undress me
Before I realised just what you were going to do
You began to take off my shorts
Then off came my shirt
I realised that you used me
You had been treating me like dirt
"No!" I screamed and cried
"Don't do this. Stop!"
He began to come closer
And tore me from my top
I began to shake
"What could I do?"
