How To Improve Your ArtI was going to call this 'how to become a better artist', but then I realized, there is no such thing as a 'better artist'. If you are an artist, you are the best artist you can be - your art can always ALWAYS improve, but you are already and always will be the best artist you can be. Remembering those two facts is the most important thing you can do.How To Improve Your Art4 years ago in Art Features More Like This
But other than that, find someone to be excited about art with! They don't have to be an artist themselves, they just have to be able to get excited about art. Having someone who'll always be around to listen to your ideas, even if they don't contribute anything, is HUGELY helpful to keep you motivated. I've found that having someone for me to bounce ideas off of, or even just someone to explain my stories to, is my favourite thing in the world and almost always leads to me discovering new things about my stories and characters.
And now for the list of links you all were waiting for!

how to improve at drawing: a guideSo as I sit and read my comments, I found that alot of people want to know how to improve.how to improve at drawing: a guide1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'm betting you are tired of hearing people say "practice"?
Well for me, improving is not instant. I may not even notice it, but every time I draw im improving a little.
How to Improve:
Draw all the time, draw everything you see, draw what you want to draw, draw in other peoples styles, draw realistic, draw cartoon, anything. JUST DRAW. Do it all the time. Draw in your notebooks and on your homework.
Do you hate the way you draw eyes? Maybe your paws/hands need more practice? Then find references and use them. I personally don't always find the time to use references, but I find when I do, my art is 10x better. Just practice drawing those eyes you've never gotten quite right. Look at other art and see what you really like about their style. And then try it out.
Now that you've practiced a bit more, draw somethin
Providing Stock+Resources - A Beginners Guide Pt01The following five part guide is a collection of tips and tricks for stockers and those who would like to become stockers but don't know where to start - based on my personal experence. While reading, keep in mind that most of what is outlined below are guidelines and not a set of rules you never ever cross - there are exception to everything but the very first rule (I would say copyright is not debatable, after all, you expect others to respect yours, too). Also, this has gotten very long and still, I feel I forgot stuff... DESIGN TUTORIAL - BASIC CHARACTER CREATIONYo! I get a lot of questions on how I create my characters, such as how do I come up with color schemes, markings, the basic idea, all that cool stuff~ X3DESIGN TUTORIAL - BASIC CHARACTER CREATION1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So I'd thought I do a little design tutorial. This is a TEXT based tutorial, meant to give the tricks/tips that I use.
So prepare to read! I will be using my characters as examples.
This tutorial covers design tips for both ANIMALS AND HUMANS.
KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE TIPS AND TRICKS THAT I USE.
EVERYONE MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT PROCEDURE.
The Idea: Where and How Do I start?
So you want to create a new character huh? But you don't know where to start with the process....Hmm. When I'm coming up with a new character, I start with the personality about 75% of the time. It doesn't have to be in-depth, just basic personality traits.
So for example I might want a character that is:
- Loud, aggressive, rude, doesn't give a fuck about anythi

Writing, at its very base, is communication. We write to communicate — with someone else, with ourselves — when we write, we arrange words in a manner that is intended to be read. This is very important because, no matter what or how you write, this one basic fact never changes. If you get stuck at any point, you can come back to this sturdy foundation. I am writing to communicate; what do I want to communicate?
Often, the answer is emotions: how you feel, or how you want your reader to feel. As Gregory Corso wrote, "You must feel! It's beautiful to feel!"
We all feel, but how we express our feels is a matter of perspective. If we are too flippant with our choice of words, our readers will think we are shallow. If we are too brooding and deliberate, our readers may find us incomprehensible. Finding a balance takes work and dedication.
But that work and dedication is what distinguishes

1. GET OUTSIDE
This comes as a very first tip for a reason. Whether it's outside your house or outside your mind, changing your perspective will help the ideas flow.
2. DRINK ENOUGH WATER
Your brain functions much better when well-hydrated. Symptoms of mild dehydration include tiredness, headache, muscle weakness, and dizziness - these are certainly not going to help you to think straight.
Exercise produces endorphins that might as well be responsible for your next brilliant idea.
Dreaming is very important, inside a dream nothing is impossible. Use that to your advantage.
5. STOP WATCHING TELEVISION
Or better yet, get rid of the damn thing. TV is a mind-killer. Turn it off. Even if th

WHAT IS COLOR? The property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way it reflects or emits light.
This is a Color Wheel that shows all the colors and how they are aligned with one another.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown etc.
Now let's learn more about these colors
The Primary Colors
Q: What are Primary Colors?
They're the main colors in a color wheel that can be blended to create other colors
The Primary Colors are Red, Yellow, and Blue.
Useful links! Online resources and purchasing tipsFirst and foremost, GET SAMPLES OF YOUR FUR. All the websites have photos, but they are rarely accurate to the color of the fur in person, and dye lots can change slightly between runs, so the photo they have may not be accurate to their current stock either.Useful links!
