A chilly November afternoon had come upon me. It felt really good for once, since where I lived, the days of autumn seemed unusually warm. I had been walking down the campus aisles to my last class of the day, the wind blowing in my hair, when all of a sudden, something had forced me to stop in my tracks. Something living. Something with a big, fat, furry tail wagging in the air.
For those of you that are still lost, this common campus creature is a squirrel.
These creatures are the bane of campus locals. They roam the perimeters, scurrying around in search of love, compassion, and most of all, food. College students take this into account as they make their way to their classes or if they sit down somewhere outside. A good rule of thumb is that for every person walking around, there is at least one squirrel to go with him or her. Yes, that is a lot of squirrels.
