Shade got him this time, almost got him. The batwing suffered a head on collision with the cliff and erupted into a huge fiery ball almost instantly. However Shade’s want could not completely black out the proximity sensors of the batwing. With seconds to spare, Batman had ejected out of the plane. However the ejection was not fast enough to spare him a blow from the batwing’s debris. A broken wing hit the pilot seat in air and hurled it off from above the shore into the sea.
“I’m on it!” Aquaman cried as he made his way towards the site of impact.
Before Shade could enjoy his fleeting moments of victory, he found himself in the clutches of the Man of Steel.
“You should probably thank your stars that he escaped.” He said, half bringing his fist down on him.
“Some other time, Superman,” Shade said as he reached out to activate his wand, only to hurl it away by reflex and to find a pang in his arm.

"I don't have time for woman Alfred, I'm to busy."
"Busy with what sir? Protecting her as Batman?" Alfred questioned, "You need to protect her as Bruce Wayne sir not the Batman."
"Yeah but Bruce Wayne can't protect her from Harley Quinn and The Joker." Bruce said. Harley? He knew about her? You thought. "I'm going to go and find her Alfred." Bruce said after a few minutes.
"And I'll go and prepare diner sir." Alfred said as both him and Bruce left the Bat-Cave. You took a deep breath and got up from behind the desk, there was one thing

It had been 2 weeks since you and Bruce went shopping and everyday since then you two would hang out. You hate to admit it but you were starting to enjoy his company, plus you started to have feelings, and not just normal feelings but feelings towards Bruce. And you hated it. You always were taught that feelings made you weak, but it felt wonderful to have someone enjoy having you around. Today you and Bruce were doing what you usually would do and that was walk outside on Wayne Manor grounds.
"So when are you going back to work?" You asked Bruce since he took time of work to keep you company.
"Well thats one of the good things about owning your own company, You can go back whenever you want!" Bruce said back, smiling.
"Yeah but don't you kinda have to go back sometime?" You say sarcastically.
"Well yes I was planing on going back after tomorrow." He said with a big grin on his face.

"Something which has to be done." Batman replied calmly, concentrating on fixing the electrodes.
"Are you insane? That might make her mentally crippled!" Hawk Girl protested.
"And not doing this will kill her. Do you want that to happen?" Batman scowled at her and then resumed doing the wiring. He knew what he was doing, but he had neither the time nor the patience to explain.

Bruce couldn't get you out of his mind. The look on your face last week was still fresh in his mind. And to make things worst Alfred had been bugging him about it this whole morning. "Sir maybe if you just talk to her-"
"No Alfred, (y/n) clearly doesn't want anything to do with me." Bruce said with a sigh.
"Sir just listen to me, you should see her, she looks so broken."
This didn't seem to effect Bruce that was until Alfred said, "She told me she plans on leaving this weekend."
Bruce stopped walking and turn around to face Alfred, "She said that?" Bruce couldn't believe this.

With him no longer a threat, you thanked the vigilante for his help.
But before he could leave, you stopped him with a question to ask.
"What keeps you going?"
"What keeps you here?" he asked back.
You look at him in surprise.
"Gotham's not exactly the best place for a budding author like you," he began. "Though the criminal element keeps you inspired, the dangers are also present."
"That's the best part, though," you tell him. "I think it's a change of pace from Metropolis. Plus, there's always something to keep you hanging on. Mine's devotion to my work. What's yours?"
"A promise I made long ago," he answered.
To Old FriendsTerry McGiness, the new Batman, steered the Batmobile into the Batcave. "Hey, old man, you're pretty quiet tonight. You weren't nagging at me for any "mistakes". Is something--" he then went quiet as he saw that Bruce Wayne, his mentor and the first Batman, was not alone. Seated in a folding chair next to the old man was a middle aged man, his face barely lined but his blond hair quickly turning to the color of ash. He was strongly built, and dressed in a sharp blue suit that would be considered old fashioned. A cane with a golden handle was across his lap. "How old?" was Terry's reply, he was still stunned that Bruce let anyone else down here.
Dr. Kane laughed, "Not THAT old."
Bruce turned to him, "You look younger than you are."
"That's thanks to Slade's 'gift'; I still feel old."
"What's he doing here in the Cave?" asked Terry.
"Joseph was in town on business and decided to stop by."

Walking along the hallway of the living quarters in Titan Tower, Robin stopped short as Raven unexpectedly emerged from her own bedroom door. Her nose was stuck in a book, and as such wasn’t really looking where she was going. Robin nearly ran into her, though he needn’t worry, Raven probably would have changed directions anyway. She was empathic. Looking up from the ancient text she was engrossed in she saw Robin catch his footing.
“Morning.” Raven greeted him simply.
“Good Morning.” Robin replied back, with a slight aggravation in his voice. “Next time I should watch where I’m going.”
“Cute.” Raven raised an eyebrow, a flicker of a smile played at the corner of her lips.
“Are you hungry? We should get some breakfast.” Robin wisely decided to change the subject.
As they continued along together, they remained silent.

Don’s sudden flash of insight regarding Casey’s preferences took a great weight off the turtle’s shoulders. He didn’t feel like he was competing for April’s affections anymore because Casey didn’t sound all that interested in pursuing her.
Nor did Don have to concern himself with the idea that Raph might be chasing April as well, though that thought had been fleeting. What Don now assumed with great certainty was that Raph had been on the verge of telling him their secret when Casey’s mother had entered the room.
Raph had said he wasn’t worried about April’s motives around Casey because he knew that Casey was ambivalent towards the girl. His brother had been mad at Don and now it all made sense. Raph was worried that Don was trying to steal Casey from him, possibly thinking that Don was bi-sexual as well.
Leo seemed to have guessed something was going on between Raph and Casey, though from the wa

“The Kraang shot him,” Raph said, taking one side of Don while Casey slipped into place on the other side. “It wasn’t a blaster though; it looked different and the flash was yellow.”

“Ya’ got hit by a Taser?” Casey asked. “They don’t usually last this long pal.”
“You can give us your Taser expertise later, Casey. Pick up the pace; I can hear someone coming after us,” Raph said as they began to jog.
Don hated being unable to move his body but he had hope that the affect was wearing off. His tongue wasn’t just lying on the bottom of his mouth anymore and he could feel the pins and needles sensation that indicated his numbness was fading.

“What happened?” Don demanded, reaching Raph and Leo just as Casey did.
Casey groped at the hood that covered his mother’s head and upper torso. “Get this . . . get this off of her!”
Don reached out quickly and caught his hand before Casey could take the hood off. “Wait, don’t remove it out here. I need to put the large jamming device I built in your mom’s room first.”
April stepped forward as Casey pulled out of Don’s grip and she set a comforting hand on his shoulder. Looking at Raph, she said, “Bring her back here; we set up a cot for her.”
Raph cast a swift glance at Leo who nodded. As Raph followed April, Casey walked alongside him, holding his mother’s hand as they took her into the spare room.
Don stepped in front of Leo before he could follow them. “What happened?” Don repeated.
