The next part of the artworks of my SE3P a.k.a Mazda RX-8.
I'm so glad that this time the photograph isn't so blurry that I can make a pretty well done artwork like this, and actually... I'd like to try on some backgrounds, too, sadly they don't blend well with my rebrushed SE. I guess I have no choice, so I decided to get back to making custom backgrounds...
For more addition, I'd like to add a picture of Mai-san standing next to my SE, but I guess it'll take a while to finish the pic. Beside, Mai-san wouldn't get enough exposure if she's placed together with this SE in the same wallpaper. No intention to brag out, really...
I think I'll submit the picture of Mai-san and this SE as a different deviation, with more exposure for Mai-san.
Useless fact : After I draw several artworks of my SE, I feel like I want to shout "KAGUTSUCHI!!!" everytime I sit behind the wheel of this car.
Finally, after a long while, I managed to work on my own car artwork without any assistance of my little bro, and this time, let's say I'm answering his indirect challenge when he drew an artwork of an FD3S the other day.
Took me months to get this done. Now if I think of it again, it all makes sense since I only work on it like an hour every week and now after it's done, I feel sooo relieved. I think I'm getting better, even surpassing my own tutor, that little bro of mine. teehee~
About this RX-7, this is supposed to be a drift car prepared for Formula D Asia, especially the Jakarta Round. Unfortunately, Formula D isn't coming to Indonesia this year while there's a plan to merge Formula D USA and Asia into one world series. This particular car is powered by twin turbocharged R26B which replaces it's original 13B-REW, resulting about 640hp on the rear wheels. Painted in gold, it's actually meant to stand out among other drifters. I've also picked my driver, it's gonna be Anths95 who drives this beast. Well... That's more because a while ago I promised him an artwork of Mazda RX-7 dressed in Veilside Fortune kits.
Think I'm gonna give this FD3S another touch, we'll see later what I can do to it.
The title and her sign say it all, Nao-chan loves Veilside. That's why she has lots of veilside parts on her Altezza. Yep, this is a Toyota Altezza, not a Lexus IS300. Well.. it's just a matter of naming, though.
On the exterior, Nao-chan has Veilside body kits which replace the original kits. To give the car more downforce, her Altezza is equipped with Veilside GT-wing as well. Even for the wheels, she has Veilside Andrew 18"x8" in the front and 18"x9,5" in the rear. Aside of that, in the interior Nao-chan chooses Veilside bucket seats to replace the stock seats.
Knowing her, that car of hers might not only built for show but also for competition. Here we have a picture of her showing off her skill in a drift event sponsored by local tire makers. Yep, local tires, all those three tire makers are from Indonesia ; Achilles by Multistrada, Accelera by Elang Perdana Tyres and GT Radial by Gajah Tunggal. The event is held at night, so she has to turn her headiights on.
Credit goes for :
Veilside for the awesome body kits for Altezza as well as the wheels.
Sunrise for creating Mai series
~JaapvdV for the grungy brushes which I use as tire marks / skid marks here.
Part of the commissioned artworks that my little brother is working on. He let me upload this one to show how far the commission has progressed.
Here we have Hino Rei-san a.k.a Sailor Mars drifting in an R34, in Rei-san's favorite colors; red and black. According to my little brother, this one isn't a GT-R. Instead, it's a GTS-T with GT-R look; wider fenders, GT-R badge and engine swap to GT-R's RB26DETT. As everyone may have known, R34 GTS-T has different specification from R34 GT-R, while GT-R is equipped with RB26DETT (2.6L twin turbo 6-cylinder engine) and ATTESA ET-S Pro AWD drivetrain, the GTS-T comes with only RB25DET (2.5L single turbo 6-cylinder engine) and RWD drivetrain, not to mention GT-R fenders are wider which make it more muscular. Some people would say GTS-T to GT-R conversion with placing GT-R badge is ricey, but I'm personally agree with my little brother's idea to put one. I mean, it's important to reassure people that you drive a GT-R, right? Although minus ATTESA-ETS.
Normally I would never let any girl drive while wearing high heels but since this isn't mine, I think I'll overlook it this time. Another thing, he didn't place his signature on the corner of the artwork this time. Instead, he put it on the wall right behind Rei-san and her R34.
Originally drawn by my little brother. I do not own any part of this artwork.
This is one of our Mazda6 GT300 drivers of our Mai-Multiverse team, Mazzy, who goes with the nickname of MazdaTiger together with YuriFan7 they are a unique pair who will lead our team to victory.
They are unique because their personalities are actually the opposite of each other's. Mazzy is tomboyish and straightforward while Yuri is more reserved and feminine. Despite of this huge difference in personality, they get along well with each other and the rest of the team.
and yes, we support more female racers in Super GT in case you are wondering why our drivers are female.
Finally, it's here,,, My final artworks of my own SE3P a.k.a Mazda RX-8....
I really didn't expect that this artwork would take me a whole month to finish, thanks a lot to my tight schedule...
Okay, I admit that I spice this artwork up a little too much. As I always said before, I'm a total failure when it comes to photography so there's no way I can take pictures of a drifting car. The original photograph which this artwork is based on was taken by my husband, with me inside my parked RX-8. Yep, the car in the actual photograph isn't moving, it's just me playing some little tricks to 'heat up the crowds'...
The person behind the wheel is me, or more exactly the cartoonized me. This is the second trial of me drawing myself in 2D form. The first one was when I drew my avatar (or userpic, you name it) which I still use up to this very moment.
A little message for , Sorry that it takes quite a long while but I'm finally ready for our challenge here, is Alaven ready yet?
It is entitled as 'blueprint' since this picture shows how my SE3P will turn out after being modified. Although mentioning it as blueprint might be unsuitable since it is colored while original blueprints aren't colored.
These are the specifications for my SE3P as long as I can plan. So far I'm only able to plan the body parts since I don't have the competence to choose the right performance parts.
- Ings+1 body kits. - Ings+1 GT wing. - TE37 gram white 18"x8" front & 18"x9" rear. - Weld - in roll cage. - Sparco Torino semi bucket racing seats. - Sabelt 4 point harnesses. - Custom vynil (yes, it's Kagutsuchi from Mai - Hime) - And so on... (I haven't found many parts for it, so...)
I tried different technique than I usually use when drawing this car in order to make the car shinier. It does turn out shinier but somehow I think it becomes more 'toony'
This SE is also drawn for an art trade with ~MazdaTiger
A revision of a previous work. Before, this car is a part of a comic page but now it's a separated artwork. Yep, it's a wallpaper now and I'm using it in my laptop.
The reason of the revision...? well... it's just I wanted to work more on this car. As everyone remember, this car doesn't have any graphics on it's exterior before, but now, look at it... it's an itasha drift car...!
Revision done on this car : Changing the color from gold to this new color. I personally call it "Golden White" Adding an anime sticker, making it an itasha drift car. New rearview mirror. carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber GT wing are installed. Putting D1GP sunvisor on the windshield Parts decals, etc...
The girl whose picture is used as the sticker is Sakai Wakana from anime Tari Tari. I was watching this anime when first working on this car. So I thought, why not using the girls pictures as sticker...? And to be honest, I wanted to use an image of three main heroines of Tari Tari together but I guess that pic didn't work out so I decided to look for another pic. This one is my last resort, I hope it works out just fine.
Anyway... constructive critics and suggestions are welcome, especially for future development of my itashas drift cars...
There is this thing called the 'brake porportioning valve' with which you can easily set the brake bias, whether more to front or to rear, or might be completely to front to let the rear whells spinning freely, just like what I do with this BMW E90 3 Series built for Mario. I step on the throttle and brake pedal at the same time since the brake will only apply to the front wheels holding the car on it's place while letting the rear wheels spin and heating up the tires to make some smoke. Yep, this is a burn out show off which is a kind of celebration after a drift bash.
This E90 is actually based on a car owned by someone near me, exactly with those wide fenders and coupe conversion. Although for this 3 series I'd like to mention some different modifications from the one he owns. Despite of it looks like a decent BMW on the outside, it's powered by Nismo under it's hood. It's engine is swapped with a custom engine; RB26 head coupled with RB30 block, with the transmission following the engine swap, replacing E90's automatic/tiptronic one. Now with twin turbocharger, it makes a scary amount of 730 horsepower on the rear wheels.
I gotta admit that even though I try to design custom background, I still want to use some free stock images as background. The problem is they are free only for non-commercial use while this one is a commission therefore I'm afraid that I'd violate their ToS if I use them for this work. If there are places where I can get free-for-commercial-use stock images, I'd really love to know.
As for the reason of me choosing to put stickers of Suigintou-chan on this E90, let's say she represents my dark side; my envy and jealousy, selfishness and arrogancy. She is my favorite doll in Rozen Maiden, liking the 'good' dolls is too mainstream anyway.
Afterall, I'd welcome any positive response and constructive critics to improve this artwork as this is only the 2nd European car in my 'garage'.
