Who's Who in Snowden: Mrs. E's Junior SnoopsTHE SNOWDEN JUNIOR SNOOPS
Snowden Elementary School, Mrs. Entwhistle’s Fifth-Grade Class
Charity Kendra Mabrey
No one messes with Charity Mabrey, easily the most all-around capable student in Mrs. Entwhistle’s entire class! One of—if not the—tallest kid in the class, slender but strong and quick and indefatigable, she is not only a top athlete, but also a top student, with an appetite for all possible accomplishments she can acquire. She’s the captain of every team, the leader of every group, the energy behind every adventure and misadventure. And her round, freckled face with its arresting green eyes and raven-black pigtails is one of the most charming in the whole school; adorned in either comfortable casual clothes or decked out in girlish finery, she is perhaps the most striking girl there!
But she does have one vulnerability—and his name is Clinton Maser.

18 No Way Out
Mrs. Morgan’s bellicosity at the thought of Glistening Oaks lessened as the long morning of the move progressed. Tim assured and reassured her—then reassured again and again—that the stay at the home was only temporary, a rehabilitation to get her fully back on her feet. Nancy concurred heartily all that morning, and even sullen Janiece agreed that her stay would be short. And the discovery that her roommate for the stint would be Esther Henry mollified her to near-acceptance of her situation. It was only as the bustle of moving her into her Glistening Oaks room receded that she spoke words which staggered all three of her children—
“What happens when this is over? I can’t live alone after this!” Which only in those words illustrated the fear that had been oppressing her. And the dilemma the Morgan children faced…
And the battle finally joined in Janiece’s living room after finally getting Mother settled

4 Warning Shots
"You know," Richie snickered, casting a wry eye at Abbie, "I can think of a few times that tying up a kid sister could come in handy!"
"What," Abbie retorted, "and use up some of the rope you'd rather use on"
"I think we need to change the subject!" Abigail interjected brightly, knowing exactly what her younger siblings were about to argue over and wanting to spare Penny and Ella the details. "I think we were talking about Mom tying up a kid sister. You had to know that wouldn't turn out well, Mom! Sooner or later your parents"most conscientiously not referring to them as her grandparents"were going to find out!"
"Yeah," Nancy grimaced, red-faced, "about that "
"I don't know why we're coming along," Lorelei sniffed as she and Mary Catherine trailed in Nancy's wake on the way toward Miss Henry's home. It was a big old house some in town called a mansio

1 The News Cycle
Mrs. Nancy Morgan Dwight Miyazaki hardly considered herself a news junkie. The business of maintaining Snowden State University on a budget that was resembling shoestrings more and more each daynot to mention the everyday insanity of raising a bunch of Snowden Snoops (or Darius Allen Detectives, as Abbie insisted on being called)left little time to sit and watch cable news. She considered herself lucky to get an occasional glance at the online version of the Center City Intelligencer
But babies have a way of forcing parents to change their routine, and the stomach bug which had suddenly waylaid her twin three-year-olds Mia and Michael forced her out of the Snowden State facilities director's office to the couch at Passmore Street, nursing two mewling, whimpering toddlers with very upset tummies. Mercifully, the medicine prescribed

1 Love is Funny!
Well, that's what Snotface and Weirdo (I guess you know them by Felicity and Serenity) keep telling me anyway, and boy, did it ever get us Junior Snoops into a heck of a mystery! I'm lucky I'm here to write about it! Well, actually me, Jill, Merri, Alyssa, and a whole bunch of us are lucky to be alive for me to write about it!
Anyway, I guess the whole thing started with Camp Evergreen this year. Mostly, it started when Clinton (<3!) came running to save me when that kidnapper (I can't believe it was Hannah Watson'soops, I mean Hannah O'Hara'sdad who was the kidnapper! No wonder I sort of recognized him!) was taking me away. I know it sounds like I'm real, well, Mom calls it fickle, but I actually did sort of like Clinton before camp. He's always been nice, an

"Whenever Mother was trying to be kind to me in my youth," Miss Henry twinkled, frankly enjoying the company she was entertaining in her room, "she would call me impetuous. I was applying that adjective to you when you were ten years old, Nancy!" She leaned over toward Dave as far as her frail frame, fairly swallowed up in her recliner chair, would allow. "And I can tell she hasn't changed much. So when I heard she had gone gallivanting to Powhatan without a back-up plan, I wasn't surprised. I'd done that a few times in my own youth! Some of us just should not have been allowed to read Nancy Drew! My mother was one of them; she told me with a straight face that it poisoned young girls' minds. But I was a determined little girl, and Father " she said, enjoying a reminiscent smile"well, he was wrapped around his little girl's pinky finger! I got every Nancy D
