He had happened upon the room by pure chance. The Captain's disappearance had put the Engineer on edge. That man was the key to his survival and it was only a matter of time before some hazard of the wasteland would claim his life. Surprisingly it just took a few hours to locate him and Gromov was sure it was only because of the luck that Captain seemed to rub off onto others. He found Captain holed up in a mostly collapsed building, the only part that remained intact was a small dark room. Breathing a sigh of relief he was about to enter the room to reprimand the man for disappearing without a trace for days but stopped, his boot hovering just over the threshold. Captain's purple lenses glinted from the darkness. Gromov backed away. He never entered the room.
And Captain never left.
The engineer left the man alone; he had hope that eventually Captain would come out on his own. Each day Gromov would come to the room but the Captain never moved from that spot. How t

Stan strode around the room, checking the magazine of the rifle that he had stolen from Snippy earlier.
"Hehe... it's still full," he mentioned and deftly spun it around in his hand as if weighed only half of what it actually did. "Which means there's plenty of bullets for all of you. Isn't that great?"
With agile hands he shoved the magazine back in and readied the gun to shoot.
"The boss told me to kill your captain last. So... which of you two morons wants to die first?"
Engie shifted around nervously while Pilot kept throwing quick glances over to the chair.
"You look pretty scared, fatty," Stan chuckled and stared down at the engineer. "But don't worry, I'll make it quick for you."
As the rifle was pointed at him, Alexander yelped and huddled up against the wall in fright.

"What?!" Aderyn yelled after about ten minutes of this.
"You do know that you and your friend are the last hope of mankind," he said.
She looked at him with narrowed eyes, guessing where this was going. ". . . how. . .?"
"Repopulation," he said, suddenly unable to meet her gaze. "Obviously."
"EW," she said loudly. "Do you know how disgusting that is? I'm FOURTEEN. You know that, right?"
"Humanity can rot! I'm not repopulating with anyone!" She gave him a glare that would make even a monster like Photoshop get on with what it was doing.
"What about Scribbles?" he asked, almost pathetically.
"Listen to yourself," she said. "Do you even hear what you're saying? She's got a six year old brain in a twenty year old body, and she's only been

summary:As a light sleeper, Engie has plenty of time to observe and wonder over his crewmates´ sleeping habits. His observations leave him a bit grumpy, but Pilot is already working to find a solution ...
Maybe it is because he could never get enough sleep when Annet was still sending. Maybe it is because even the reality of post apocalyptic life is not as dreadful as his nightmares back then were. When Charles Snippy is asleep, he could as well be dead. The engineer is sure that even a rifle fired next to the sniper could not wake him up. Of course this is beneficial to Captain´s and Pilot´s habit of pulling pranks on Snippy. Gromov clearly remembers the day the tour guide woke up dressed in a pink rabbit costume because Captain wanted him to replace the Easter Bunny, claiming the real one had been abducted by aliens...
Captain, on the other hand, rarely sleeps.

Snippy sat next to her, on watch, his rifle leaning against his shoulder. "Excuse me?" he asked. "We're sitting outside in a snowdrift all night. How is this nice?"
"At least I'm not alone, anymore."
Snippy sighed. "That's true. I know what that's like."
"You do?" she looked over at him, eyes wide in wonder. "I thought that you were always part of Captain's army."
"Well," he said slowly. "I was wandering around by myself for a long time before I met him."
"It must have been lonely," she said, looking down at her stuffed animal. "Luckily, I had Thing to talk to, so I didn't go mad with just myself to talk to."
Snippy couldn't help but smile a little under his mask.
Scribbles flopped down onto her back and looked up at the sky, the snow settling in her hair and on her goggles. "Do you miss them?"
"Who, the guys?" he asked. "They're just inside, you know. . ."
"No. Your family."

Sniper stood watch, just outside the old travel agency building. Aside from somehow withstanding the rest of the block collapsing around it, the shop was impressive for having reasonably preserved brochures. Captain and Pilot would often amuse themselves by planning trips to countries that no longer existed, and Engineer would gather what they discarded for kindling. Whenever Sniper grew sufficiently bored, he'd call out with something he thought was witty.
It was a bit like that, being on watch; you'd either say something funny and die knowing your sense of humour was too good for this world, or you'd say nothing and die without validating your ego.
"Actually," Engineer spoke up from the Visit Asia section, a finger tracing over dusty advertisements as he moved along the aisle, "One of the last GOOD directorate broadcasts sent out was a list of anomalies brought on by the apocalypse, and apparently Chernobyl became the least radiated pla

Chapter 1: Engie's Masterpiece
It must have been a little over three months ago that Captain gave Engie the order to build a flying machine. Initially the Russian engineer objected to taking on such a seemingly impossible task, but finally agreed to after Pilot incessantly heckled him to the brink of insanity.
Doctor Gromov needed parts before he could begin constructing "the most glorious flying machine," as Captain put it, so all throughout the months that followed he requested the other two minions to fetch him various scraps to aid in the completion of his project. Every part on the list was successfully retrieved sooner or later, depending on how long it took to coerce reluctant Snippy into getting dragged along on a search.
Every time the sniper was told to go scavenge the wasteland with Pilot, he acted stubbornly. He was persistent in

"We're all part of a chain. But sometimes, one part goes missing and a replacement is needed."
Chapter 1: Assault
In search of answers on the mysteries of Captain, Snippy warily snuck through the city, his target within sight. It was one of those days when Captain would decide to go on a long walk alone, then suddenly disappear and not return again until late in the evening. Nobody ever found out what he did or where he went. But this time, Snippy was following him imperceptibly.
Asking never revealed the answers to his questions, for Captain would feign ignorance and simply change the topic to pull his head out of the loop. So now Snippy was on a... discovery mission (which totally didn't count as stalking), close enough to keep the leader in vision and just distant enough to avoid being seen.
At the end of the street, the man in the gray wool

Pilot wearily trudged through the forest, every step a torment to his injured leg.
How long had they been walking? It must have been over 40 minutes, if his perception of time was correct. His head hung low, though every few moments he glanced up at the sniper scuffling sluggishly in front of him.
He will change again. Filthy, treacherous zebra. Must stay wary, Pilot thought to himself, almost waiting for his drained-looking companion to turn into a monster any moment and eat him.
Suddenly Snippy raised his arm, and with suspicion in his keen eyes Pilot stopped and watched, judging his companion's every move – but it turned out that the shoe was just scratching the back of his head. Sighing in relief, Pilot resumed a more relaxed stance and continued walking.
Maybe what he said is really true. Could it be? Pilot wondered. The alien scarf was very pale and d

“Why is this couch smelling of burnt rubber?” Seven finally inquired.
“For two reasons, we probably shouldn’t have thrown car tires into the fire and your gasmask needs new filters.” Snippy’s response sounded almost cheerful.
“Nonesense Mr. Snippy! Car tires are zee kindling materials of awesomeness! Well, you are late, but your mission was a success, meine minions! So let’s see what you can do for your Captain today!”
“Whatever it is I’m sure I will regret it.”
Somehow Engie had the feeling that Mr. Snippy was right with this assumption and worst of all:

Snippy couldn't believe his luck; actually this was pretty typical of what usually happened to him. He spent hours scouring through the dilapidated remains of old grocery stores searching for any surviving cans of food that hadn't been outdated, leaking, or bulging with botulism. Today had been a rather productive day, too productive perhaps. He had amassed a rather sizable haul that he stashed away in an old rusted out car tucked away in an alley. Dropping a few more cans into the front seat after filling up the back it finally dawned on him. How was he going to carry all these back to the base?
Shutting the door and leaning against the car, he thought he remembered seeing an old sporting goods store a little way down the block. They might have some good heavy duty backpacks he could carry the cans in.
Jogging off to find the store he actually felt a little happy for once. Figuring out ways to carry back a surplus of food was one problem he was glad to have.

Chapter 4: A Matter of Trust
Deep in thought, the engineer sighed and silently continued walking behind Pilot, alongside his new, taller companion. His wounded comrade lay in Stan's arms, blankly gazing up at the sky and trembling horribly with every breath.
"Stay awake, Charles, you hear me?" Alex reassured him, gently stroking his hand over Snippy's head. "We'll pull you through this. Just hang in there a little bit longer."
The sniper seemed to nod, but it was hard to tell as they walked.
As the storm subsided a bit, the dense air in the city finally began to clear, but the sky remained covered with thick clouds as always.
"Home in sight!" Pilot yelled suddenly, and picked up speed, but the heavy load on his back and the debilitating cold didn't allow him to run very fast, so the group

Chapter 1: A Visitor of the Stars
There was something strange hovering in the sky over Pupuland.
Of course, thought Fumu, that was hardly a rare occurrence. Unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial visitors were quickly becoming frequent. But the characteristic that set this thing apart from all the others of its kind was the way it moved. While most flying things streaked through the sky relentlessly, this one was gliding at an almost leisurely pace, like it was looking for something.
And, obviously, you couldnt expect to have a shiny gold blip roving through the sky without villagers noticing and making wild predictions about what it could be.
Kawasaki wondered if it might be a new species of bird one that might make a tasty lunch special, at that. The mayor was concerned that it might endanger his sheep. Bun made the other children jittery by spreading rumors of disgusting, fearsome aliens. And Kirby, as always, was t
