Superweapon Entry Form: The CameramenName:
Despite the plural form, The Cameramen is one single weapon, albeit with several separate elements.
The most important of these elements is a milisecond pulsar with approximately 37 solar masses named "False Sovereign" by the occuptants of the system centered around it. False Sovereign emits enormous ammounts of radiation as an object of its nature is wont to do.
Orbiting False Sovereign at approximately 0.3 AU of distance in a highly eccentric orbit, aligned with the emission beams of the pulsar, eight large stations can be found.
Five of these stations, shaped approximately like the net of a tesseract 420 meters in lenght, posses gigantic whipple shield-like antennae designed to be able to redirect the emissions of the pulsar in the 270-250GHz range, while polarized so as to let most other frequencies through. The cruciform antennae are placed along kilometer-long masts made of a light lattice structure. The lattice, like the b
Obsessions, Ghosts, and DragonsToth had grown older, that much was certain, and he was a lonely man. Seven years in the Fade had seen him grow from a youngling hardly larger than the training blades to a taller and definitely more imposing individual. But he had grown to be a lonely man; for where he dwelt was not a lovable place. It was an endless plain, much like a desert at times, and other times tundra-esque. Quite literally, it stretched to infinity in all directions-a hardly hospitable place, covered with small scrub and no other life aside from the Sicarii’s lamasery. Despite the utter flatness of the place, there was almost no wind; just utter stillness and unnatural, unholy tranquility. It was never night, and never day-a perpetual dull groan whispered across this twilight landscape as what little wind there was whispered through the sand and shrubs. It sounded to Toth, who watched it patiently from his chamber window, like the voices of the dead, and it was this halfway place with its halfway winds,Obsessions, Ghosts, and Dragons2 years ago in Personal More Like This

As I willed the mask to engage, I felt a certain sense of apprehension. Unlike Nagaetros’ brain (which was closer to the size of a kitchen appliance than a grapefruit), the Sanctioned was human…more or less. Mental cohabitation damages neural connections, and for humanoid mammals that begins to become problematic after ninety seconds or so, assuming you’re not in there to do harm. With Nageotros, the whole affair had been over in no more than five minutes.
I would have a very short window in there, I thought tiredly, if her mind was anything like normal. Then again, as her reputation went, she might not be all too entirely normal herself. She lived a very private life, in a very private place, an
Dark Rendezvous: AftermathThe skirmish was over. The flames of the small but impressively furious struggle between the forces of the Cultists and the troops of the SSC and the USK having burned themselves out in the hour after they began. In doing they left behind a landscape that was fittingly enough, considering their location: a graveyard of the dead and dying.Dark Rendezvous: Aftermath2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Crashed shuttles smoldered in trenches they had torn through the well tended ground; suits of power armor, their metal rented or sliced cleanly through by the forces they fought lay sprawled over broken graves and the chewed up dirt of the fields outside of the cemetery’s gates. The coffin itself a molten ruin, its edges still glowing faintly in the Partially incinerated hull of the shuttle the cultists of Naga had attempted to flee with before a well aimed shot from the SSC prevented them from making off with that which was too valuable to allow to be lost to hostiles. The Cultists themselves were gone, either dead or taken off running after th

The times around the point at which Shaw Haust became known to the Ascendancy were troubling ones, regardless for whose side your loyalty lay with. If you were a calveran, a demon, if you prefer the more antiquated term, you’d shortly be realizing that your world was falling apart, as many of your peers were in the more literal sense of the phrase. If you were in the Union, there were whispers in the dark of unrest with the Nakai; if you were Nakai, there were rumours that the Editors were moving in the night. The Immortal Empire was in the first stages of a terrible war, and terrorist organizations among the Infinite Empire of the Spartans would shortly be making some increasingly visibly demonstrations of their power. The Sicarii knew something was out there in that dark abyss, and they searched for it with expectations not to be
From places afar (part 1)Space is vast... not a simple statement. but the vast stretches of empty void between worlds even within systems can seem to stretch forever. The empires of the Ancerious galaxy, foreign, or native. had learned long ago to navigate this dark sea. Building ships of ever increasing size and complexity to cover the vast distances between their worlds and orbital’s. Some however, had better ability to do this then others. From places afar (part 1)10 months ago in Personal More Like This
The drakes had carved out their new territory on the edges of the others. And had established their people among the others with vessels that infused the arcane art of magic with the structured fields of Technology.
Their border defenses, as a result, were some of the best in the galaxy. Utilizing both to detect, and deflect hostile ships along its length.
But space, is vast.
The Probing fleet rifted in on the edge of the border, half an orbit or so from the fart
Ruins and NamesShe unbuttoned her sleeve once the door had closed with a dull groan behind her, and as her fingers nimbly rolled the sleeve to her shoulder, she glanced over the motifs carved into the walls again. How far back, she wondered thoughtfully as she reached out and ran her fingers along the carvings again…how far back? She pinched some of the sand and dust out of one of the cracks and sniffed it tentatively, before rubbing it again through her fingers and letting it drift towards the floor.Ruins and Names2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Her enclosed arm was enshrouded in a temporal hex gauntlet; not only was it far beyond the present day temporal tech of her people (and that was truly saying something) but she had made it herself. It extended from her wrist up to the skin right before her elbow; at the wrist and elbow were two thin bands with blue eminations bleeding out as they opened and began spooling to power. Between these two bands was a series of overlapping metal plates, which were now beginning to loosen and spin slowly

The hunt had been going on for a while now, Nagaetros still hadn’t shown signs of recovery and his loyal servants, the hounds, and shadowbreed, the very shadows themselves were getting restless. They wanted their master back. They wanted to capture the thief and make her suffer, but this seemed to be against their master’s wishes. He wanted her alive for reasons known only to him; all they could do was follow his wishes as best they could.
Music filled the halls of Naga’s lair as Echo made his way through them. He was almost dancing from the combination of excitement and the music he created with his powers. The grey sound drake knew tonight there would be another attempt to “capture” the thief of Nagaetros’ wil
The GapsMuch as the Victorians would never have envisioned the coming of the Martians, none outside of the Timecasters had any notion of what was impending; and the Flux knew this. They planned accordingly, for this was a war of proxies. In their eyes, they imagined that the Temporians were much as they were; a parasite, a symbiote attached to a larger entity. So as the Immortal Empire hosted the Ascendancy, the logic went, so worked the Temporians through the Dark City Imperium. In their eyes, this was akin to a brush war, though a brush war that was rapidly escalating into something else. With their name spreading in the galactic far east, the Ascendancy felt an increasing calling to a more compelling sort of action; it was only through the petitions of Dassus, who himself was urged on by the hopes and fears of the Union of World’s emperor, that had prevented Dorin from conducting a suicidal charge of extermination across an unaware galaxy. The Gaps2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Imagine, if you will, the roots of a great tree. You, and for the present at least, I too, reside at that point where trunk meets soil and from there, the roots begin. They spread out and divide in a seemingly haphazard fashion, but this chaotic nature is illusory. Like water, the roots take the paths of least resistance. They will grow around denser bodies, and towards richer soils, and they will be stunted should they reach stone or void beneath them. You can map a tree’s roots without seeing the soil they pass through, and by all those tiny convolutions in the roots, it’s possible to understand the nature of the stuff it grows through.
I confess that this is a poor analogy, but it describes the pr

“In each sector of this galaxy there may be a people out there taking their first steps to the stars. It is how we treat our younger brethren that determines if they become an agent for the betterment of the galaxy or a terrible blight on its existence. Thus it is all well and good to be great in size, but the measure of a nation is not in the girth of its borders but how it treats its smaller neighbors.” – Emperor Myric, Reflections of a Galaxy, Volume I
1.1: Military Power Limits
New empires that join the Ancerious Galaxy Roleplay start off with a base cap to the number of warships they may deploy within the confines of the Ancerious galaxy itself. This cap is 250 ships and has no effect on what the player has back in their home universe or reality. For reference a warship is a vessel designed to travel in outer space that may or may not be able to land on a planetary surface that is built with the intentio
Inertia, Part 3"Y-yes, yes, I'll help! but you must listen! Devastinian must -not- be freed!" He exclaimed. "Before my deal, it would only have been a matter of time before Fenris had released his brother himself! Then the Flux would never have mattered. You must not free Devastinian!" I realized his words were whispers in my ears alone. He didn’t want Fenris to hear him, and it appeared to have worked. "Whatever the cost!"Inertia, Part 34 months ago in Personal More Like This
I glanced up at Fenris, who as seems to be his style is something between expressionless and slightly snarling.
"Call it a hunch but the god of justice wouldn't unleash devastation unduly, Mammon." I answer aloud, making eye contact with Fenris as I say this. "Fenris, you want to explain to me why this one's more mortified of your brother than you?"
Fenris looked at me.
"My brother is a destructive force, capable of devastating entire worlds on a whim, a true force to be reckoned with with strength unmatched and power unheard of. But what truly scares Mammon is all 7
