CastielxReader: Hard Not To Love*****WARNING: This takes place after season 8 and Castiel is indeed Human. May include blood and totally cute and lost angel-human. So sorry if my characterization of Cas in this isn't like him! Enjoy!!!*****
His eyes were bright, brighter than you had seen them in a long time. You smiled back at him. It felt nice to see him smile after so much pain he had endured; it felt as if your angel was back. Then you watched him look away; his blue eyes were soon glazed over as Cas lost himself to his thoughts and memories.
You sighed sadly, stepping away from the kitchen window as you began cleaning left over dishes. You weren’t unhappy or hurt at all when Cas decided to sit in the garden all day and tortured himself for being human; at least that’s what you tried to convince yourself.
You remember watching the night all the angels fell from heaven; you had seen the beauty and sheer horror of it all. And you knew that the same event was what Castiel was thinking of that exact momen

You held your knees to your chest as you looked out your bedroom window at Bobby’s house, watching the rain pet down up on the Earth. It had been a couple days since you had been released from the hospital and there was only one person you wanted to see. Alas, he had not shown up.
Deep down, you knew that he blamed himself for you being in the hospital with three broken ribs, but it never was his fault. You had made a rookie move fighting a poltergeist in a house minutes to falling apart. The thing got you where it wanted you and brought the ceiling down on you. Castiel had been with you and provided assistance when it turned out there were two poltergeists.
He had just finished the first one off when he watched the ceiling fall on you. You slightly heard him yell in agony, but you had lost consciousness. When you woke up, you were laying in a hospital bed with Dean asleep right next to you.
“Where is he?” You asked

“Having a little sister is awesome.” Sam looked at him weirdly.
“What do you mean?” He asked.
“Well, she’s nice and considerate and always brings me back some pie, unlike someone…” He grumbled, earning a scowl from Sam.
“Now hold on-“
“Sam. Dean.” The brothers jumped as the angel, Castiel, greeted them with heart attacks.
“Damnit, Cas.” Dean yelled, trying to relax his racing heart. Cas tilted his head slightly, but quickly spoke of more important things.
“I require both of your services.”
“What for?” Sam asked as he grabbed a couple beers from the mini-fridge and handed one to Dean who gladly accepted it.

‘Today’s going to be a good day.’ You assured yourself as you took a drink of a hot chocolate you ordered. You had finally gotten your life together – going to college and getting a degree in Art and Creative Writing, finding a nice house and a dog – and you felt there was nothing that could ruin it. Then he showed up.
You looked up as the door to the coffee shop opened with a loud ding and saw two familiar brothers walk in, arguing with each other in hushed tones.
‘Winchesters,’ You thought, smiling when they saw you. You had been raised to hunt when you turned fourteen, but you got into a sticky mess until the Winchesters showed up just in time. They took you hunting with them a few times, making some good memories. When they sat down at

It was dark when Castiel came to you. You hadn’t seen him in a couple of weeks; all you knew was the Winchesters were taking care of him, at least that was your hope. You had the next week off and you had originally planned to spend it with Castiel, but he hadn’t been answering your recent prayers that you knew of.
You were in your living room, watching some cheesy horror flick, when you heard the flutter of wings. You thought nothing of it,
After a few days of perking up at the sound and only to find actual birds outside, your heart fluttered but doubt crept into your mind.
This time your heart was right.
It was a swift, fast look out of the corner of your eye, something you did to check out the world around you, and you saw the most familiar color of tan that the sight of it made your heart skip a beat.
“Castiel!” You jumped up from your seat and wrapped your arms around the angel

“Understand what?” You asked as you paused the movie you picked for your ‘movie date’ with Cas, he just didn’t know it. He shifted uncertainly next to you on the couch.
“You have explained many of your fairytales to me, but I do not understand how an orgre and a princess belong in a fairytale.” You laughed gently at the angel, twirling your (h/l) (h/c) hair in your hands.
It had been a few weeks since Cas disobeyed Heaven and the ways of humans ingrigued him so much you introduced him to story-telling, particularly fairytales. A couple of towns back you happily bought the Grimms Fairytales for Cas and found the next day he had read it as you slept. It surprised you until he reminded you that angels didn’t need sleep.

He watched you silently as you flipped through channels on the television, stopping only when you saw two people kissing in the rain. Castiel tilted his head, watching this strange interaction unbeknownest to you. You, in the meantime, just watched interaction, thoughts began to form in your head.
At first your thoughts made you smile, then they turned your cheeks red. You groaned out loud to yourself and hid your face in your hands. You couldn’t help but wonder why your beautiful, wonderful angel was so oblivious to you and your feelings.
“God, why did you make Castiel so blind?” You asked, knowing that you weren’t going to get an answer.
Frustrated at the couple on screen making out, you shut the television off and threw the remote across the room. Castiel watched you curiously, wondering your meaning when the door to the motel room opened. You
