Clive Barker Wants To Read Your Writing
Artwork by CliveBarker
You know CliveBarker as the master of horror fiction and young adult fantasy. But did you know he is also an acclaimed fine artist with paintings hanging in several galleries and art institutions?
For Halloween this year, Clive is going to take a break from writing stories for you—and read your original stories based on some of the artwork he's created.
As inspiration for your tale of horror or mystery or special wonder, Clive is providing the prompts of his own paintings that are to be your starting points.

You honor me with your interest
SO, I'm really back at making armors and costumes for folks again, but as I get alot of questions about the pricings (as is expected of course) I thought I'd make a quick and simple HOW TO on asking that question
Now I know most people out there are not really that into leather (god knows I'm basically one of them aswell) and so do not really know what to ask when confronting me with questions and enquiries.

There are different types of helmets, different types of cuirasses/harnesses, bracers, greaves, gauntlets, pauldrons, thighplates, codpieces, sabbatons, gorgetes, scaleshirts, etc etc etc) so therefore I'm having a

I have never found a companion who was so companionable as solitude.
Henry David Thoreau
By :icontechgnotic: techgnotic
I I always thought of Thoreau’s comment as simply a word game — clever but ultimately false at its core. A Valentines Day without a Valentine means being alone and alone means being unhappy. It’s taken many years to finally understand the truth in Thoreau’s words. We are never so alone as when in the company of loving family and friends, our Valentine companion held tight in our arms – but knowing we are lost, unfulfilled in our dreams and visions, and untrusting in our own inner counsel. Now I hope to one day seek companions

Opening the Darkest Door
I have recently come across a most disturbing phenomenon in my studies of the Diabolic Infestation of the Soul. It seems there is a most frightening psychological conundrum when considering the concept of demonic possession even the most remote possibility of reality upon our earthly plane is the notion that just believing it may be true could very likely be the spark needed for the Demon to discover, seek out, and ultimately inhabit its next vessel of evil: You.
From the Exorcist through Paranormal Activity, generation after generation of “believers” seem to have come to the reali

It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cthulhu is Still Calling
Written By techgnotic
Having been thinking a lot about the origins of our globally held Dragon mythos in a recent article Reptilicus Infernicus, I couldn’t help but notice the Cthulhu legend was always lurking at the edges of my mind as I was researching the subject matter.
The Enemy at the Gates, the “Other”, forever lurking in the darkness and plotting an invasion most evil and an enslavement most hideous, is probably the original seminal “narrative” that was born when humans first acq
