Doctor Who: Young War - Chapter 1The Doctor was running.Doctor Who: Young War - Chapter 11 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
No, not just running. He was sprinting.
Another barrel of gunfire erupted somewhere from the Time Lord's left as he dodged another crashed and mangled vehicle, trying to manoeuvre away from any screaming or shouting that he heard. His long brown coat flapped behind him as he jumped over a large crack in what used to be a road, his hearts trying to pump the adrenaline through his veins to keep him focused and alert.
Within the course of an hour, the Doctor had witnessed the planet Oplixion fall into the depths of civil war. A fixed point in time, the Doctor knew he could do nothing to prevent it, but hadn't known when he had first landed. And now, he was running for his life. The two sides couldn't be reasoned with and everyone was destined to die. Innocent women and children. Families. Everyone.
Even with his superior Time Lord abilities, the Doctor had limitations and he began to feel a stitch rising in the right side of his chest, not realising t

Some nights he would wake up clutching his right side, panicking, as he desperately tried to figure out what had caused his right heart to stop.
Other mornings he would wake up, wondering why the TARDIS was so silent and why everything around him was all quiet.
A few seconds later, realization would hit him and he would remember that everything had changed.
Of course, Rose could tell something was not quite right, but he insisted he was fine. He could not bother her with this. She already had to deal with the responsibility of being the Torchwood director's daughter, making sure he was getting comfortable in this new, strange world while dealing with the pain at being left behind without being given as much as a proper goodbye.
He could not, he would not, add to her burden just because he had issues adjusting.
However, being with Rose was the one thing, which truly helped him cope. Despite all his issues, he could not r

A Malfoy and a PotterHarry didn't remember things being this harried when he was heading off to Kings' Cross for the first time. Sure, he'd sort of just been... dropped off to fend for himself, but packing hadn't taken this long and he certainly hadn't done anything like re-packing. Eleven year old Scorpius Malfoy huffed, looking back at his luggage. "I think I should take it. Just in case someone's silly enough to forget their own quill." His smile was just this side of mischievous. "It'll teach them a valuable lesson should they ask to borrow it."
Harry snorted. "Perfect. As long as he doesn't have to op

"No wait!" Trixie jumped in front of him. "Tell it as slow as you want! Just finish it, please oh please!"
"Oh, I thought the Great and Powerful Trixie wanted a fast story?"
"She will accept a slow one, just this once."
The Doctor smiled. "Good, now let's see. We were trying to outrun a small fleet of damaged Darlocks in an effort to reach a train, one that would take us to the Castle of Lanterns in

"No, Sherlock. You're not taking any!" John looks up from his book to glance at the tall man, pacing through the living room of 221b Baker Street. "Where are you going to get it anyway? I threw it all away."
Sherlock stops and stares at John, who looks back at him with great suspicion in his eyes. "Okay, maybe I kept some," Sherlock says and starts pacing again.
"Sherlock!" John whines.
"Just one last shot, please?" Sherlock spins around and looks at John with pleading eyes.
"No! You took your last shot two weeks ago. I won't let you." John turns his gaze to the book again, even though reading is pretty difficult when Sherlock is practically going mad in front of him.
Sherlock had come back nearly five weeks ago, back from the dead that is. John hadn't even noticed that Sherlock had started using drugs again. Partially because he had been too shocked by the fact that he was back (that in it self was weird enough), and partially because he hadn't known S

The detective was not sure if or how he should apologize to John and instead hovered in the kitchen. It was the day before his second full moon as a werewolf and he was nervous, and when he was nervous he tended to lash out. He did not want John to move out, not that he would ever admit it. To his cautious relief John did not seem angry enough to leave. Yet.
Sherlock’s phone beeped with a text from Angelo, “Come by the restaurant tomorrow.”
Sherlock left the flat hours latter and got a cab to the mill where he had been bitten. He took a key from his pocket and rolled it impatiently through his fingers. Raindrops pattered lightly on the roof of the cab as Sherlock bit his lip. He wa

Harry felt a tremendous pull to his heart as he glanced out of the window. He felt as if someone was calling out to him, urging him to go outside.
"Potter pay attention!" Snape snapped as he glared at Harry who just looked at him from the corner of his eye before turning his attention back to potion.
Draco watched from his side of the room that Harry was sitting far away from the other two members of the Golden Trio.
"Harry, are you ok?" Hermione asked Harry in a hush whisper.
Harry quickly turned to give her a hateful glare before turning back to potion to make sure Neville wouldn't make it blow up. Once potion class ended Harry quickly jumped up from his seat and stormed out of the dungeons heading for the Quidditch field. Draco quickly followed him unnoticed. Once Harry was outside he felt free and unrestrained.

Fluttershy sat in her house looking out into the garden. Small woodland creatures frolicked about as usual around a myriad of colorful flowers. It was the end of spring, and all the blooms were having their final hurrah. She sighed, she enjoyed these quiet moments in her house more than almost anything else. A cool breeze wafted in, it smelled pleasantly of spring. She inhaled deeply.
A large boom shattered the calm. Animals scattered in all directions to get away from it's source. Fluttershy looked around wildly in the confusion. Out of the sky a large blue something hurtled downwards.
She stared up in bewilderment before she realised where it was plummeting.
"Eeep!" she skidded backwards seconds before the thing crashed into the window, splintering the wood and sending various objects flying inwards. It was a blue box, above it the words "Police Public Call Box" sat in glowing letters. The double doors swung open. A brown stallion poked his head out.

Pinkie Pie sat in front of the toy shop, examining a firefly closely, it had been a little while since Twilight and the Doctor had run off.

A small blue unicorn sat on a tree stump on the outskirts of the Everfree Forrest. A small wooden wagon sat nearby filled with a small amount of food, some flowers and a starry blue blanket. She noticed it was getting dark and, sobbing softly, she took the wagon handle in her mouth and ventured into the forest. The trees were thick, and even though it was only sunset it was almost pitch dark only a little ways into the forest. Strange sounds emanated from the thick grass as the cold wind blew the leaves along the ground. She'd been on the run for a while, but she'd never gone this far.

The TARDIS doors swung open with a slow creak. The Doctor and Twilight peeked out, it was pitch black, there was a smell of damp age that lingered, and made the air thick and heavy.
"Where are we?" asked Twilight.
The Doctor ducked back into the TARDIS, grabbing his coat. "We're still in the library basement, we've moved in time, but not space." He reached his head into his pocket, popping out with the sonic screwdriver.

T'was a kingdom of terrible inhumanity
Ruled by a princess obsessed with vanity.
Beautiful furniture all over the place,
And a servant with quite the same face.
Ah, everything in the land was hers,
But in the land itself things were much worse.
The princess stole from the people to fuel her desires,
Though with no food and no wealth the people grow tired.
Once there was a revolt in the square,
The princess commanded "Clean up!" and the servant was there.
The death of the leader was quite a tragedy,
But the princess lived only in ecstasy.
She fell in love with the prince of blue,
Who had so many callers; he didn't know what to do.
He fell in love with the maiden in Green,
Which news fell hard upon the vengeful queen.
She destroyed her room in a furious rage,
And leaned in real close to the servant's cage.
She closed all the blinds so she wouldn't be seen,
And said real low "ruin the country of green."
Many lives were claimed
As the country was co

“You know that your safety is my highest priority.”
Sherlock rolled his eyes, “Can we skip your frankly alarming show affection and get to the part where you offer me a job, I decline, and you leave?”
