How beautiful do you have to be to be loved?A photographer like me who portrays beautiful women is sometimes accused of damaging people. Why? Because we raise the bar for everybody to an unhealthy level. We give wrong expectations of how you or a partner worthy of you are supposed to look. We use all the tricks to make the people in the pictures always look perfect and beautiful – how can a normal person keep up with this? How beautiful do you have to be to be loved?3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Well, from my point of view the answer is simple, maybe too simple for you: you don't have to keep up with this. In a funny way I face the same problem as you, but from the other side: how can I keep up with you? You have not only your looks, you have your own unique way. You have your personality, your style. You have your way of walking and talking. You can make a real connection with somebody. You can touch them. You can make them feel your caress. You can make their heart pound.
How can I as a photographer keep up with this? I only have a stupid picture, how can I make someone's heart pound?
resex - reset the way you think about sex"When an attractive woman walks on by and she has the power to raise desire in you it's almost like she's taking away something from you. I don’t know what exactly, maybe a little piece of your self-esteem or your pride or your confidence or your honor or your status. And in order to get it back it’s your task to get her to have sex with you.”resex - reset the way you think about sex1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Nobody ever said that to me – and they didn’t have to. Because when we started to talk about sex and women as young men it seemed to be everywhere in between the lines: When you’re attracted to somebody they take away your power and to get your power back you have to conquer them. It seemed to be what everybody was thinking without thinking about it. I guess it also works the other way around (with women desiring men), but it seems men are especially prone to this way of thinking.
Well, it’s one way to live your life. But I’ve made a conscious decision right there and then to look at it differently,

Apparel Collection: ALL dAY EVERY dAY“ALL dAY EVERY dAY” represents the artist’s constant love for making art. This drive and determination is always working in the back of our minds, always noticing inspiring things, always adding notes and drawings to notebooks, and always thinking creatively. DeviantART is a wonderful, swirling artistic ecosystem with a fertile breeding ground for this never-ending creative spirit.Apparel Collection: ALL dAY EVERY dAY3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Recently at deviantART, we tried out a small-scale collaborative program, bringing in outside artists to illustrate pieces for the seasonal clothing line. For the piece ALL dAY EVERY dAY, I’m proud to introduce Tony Van Groningen, or tonybricker here on dA. It’s always a pleasure to hand an artistic brief off to an artist and have them come back with an exciting piece that can go a few rounds in collaborative sessions to make final. Working collaboratively brings multiple viewpoints to the drawing board and adds a great deal of richness to successful pieces.
"Schatz, was ist passiert? Jemand hat unsere Garage gestohlen und die ganze Strasse steht unter Wasser!"Warum Venedig?2 years ago in Personal More Like This

We all have our way of using DeviantArt to engage and build relationships with other Deviants around art. We submit deviations and the community kicks into gear with comments, favs, shares and new watchers. But there are times when engagement is not as high, or it doesn't happen as quickly as normal.
We're thinking of a place dedicated to kindred activities (engagement prompts) that you could do for the Deviants in your community.
You might ask — How is that any different from how I comment, favourite and share right now?
WELL, HERE’S THE ANSWER:
The deviations and Deviants you engage with will be aligned with the Kindred spirit of the DeviantArt community. In other words, they will be surfaced here because they may not have received the love and consideration they deserve.
Getting a fave or a comment on a work-in-progress could be more valuable than waiting for feedback on the finished piece.
Why you should never aim for perfectionThere are a few simple things about the pursuit of perfection that are easy to forget, so here's a healthy reminderWhy you should never aim for perfection5 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Rule 1. Nobody - and i mean NOBODY is "perfect". Ever.
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Perfection is boring
Perfection is hard edges and rules and disapproval of anything not deemed to be perfect.
Art isn't created from perfection, nor is it created by perfect people. Art is messy, chaotic and curious, it has quirks and mood swings and tantrums, just like its messy, chaotic and moody creators. Art is a reflection of all of this wonderful, beautiful chaos and no two people ever conceptualize a single piece of art in quite the same way, so perfection is ultimately impossible.
Aiming for perfection is aiming for disillusionment, frustration and goals never met. Aiming for perfection is comparing yourself to others and feeling disappointment because you aren't them - you are YOU.
Its time to throw the word "perfection" out of the artistic window an

You can recognize a lot of the scenes and characters in it almost the same way as you pictured them! (For example the attack on the horses is like 98% of what I have in mind when I read about that scene.)
"Wolf Totem" written by Jiang Rong.
Literally the only critics I have from watching this trailer (except for the random Avatar ad in the end of course, haha) is that the environment and people look a little too "freshly cleaned" for being wild Mongolia, compared to beautiful real life photography of travelers. And, from the looks of it, that they had to cut out a lot of the things which the book included. They mainly seem to focus on the wolf cub story than the other historical (and present) aspects and facts between Mongolia and China, and those about ecology. Which are equall

I knew what was going on, since my Inspiration doesn't smoke, so, when it didn't come back as I expected, I decided to send my Will to Draw looking for it in order to bring it back to me.
It turned out to be a bad idea, since I never saw either of them again.
It's about a month now.
No need to mention how much I could use their help right now.
I tried to do things without them, but it didn't really work out... Of course I can still draw, it's not like one can lose the ability to do something when head traumas are not involved. Problem is, I'd rather wash dishes or spend the whole morning on the couch with my dog as a blanket than draw.
I know what people like to say in this cases...
"It's not art block, it's just you being lazy"
Yeah right, I'm so lazy I'd rather clean the whole house or stare the wall the whole day than do what I love the most. You're a genius, my problem is solved now, thanks.

News about ill wolves from ZOO Brno!Hi pals,News about ill wolves from ZOO Brno!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
sorry for possibly high number of typos, I am very tired.
Also, congrats on catching the kiriban, winner(s) will be featured next time I hope I will manage to feature you before my premium membershop expires, which will be soon :/
I like my job a lot and my life in Prague seems to be just fine. I just do not have much money I hope to lose more weight, there is a little lake everybody here use for jogging, so it seems to be a safe place even for a girl
So, FRESH news about ill wolves in ZOO Brno:
1) wolves are still in Brno.
2) two wolves are in the main exhibit
3) other wolves are behind the scenes and the ZOO is doing its best to cure them
4) the exhibit has been revitalised, both lakes have been repaired, there should be new bushes and the exhibit has been cleaned
5) the ZOO is still trying to obtain a new male alpha wolf
The ZOO will inform us as soon as they are finished with the restoration of the pack. It is very complicated process...

IT'S CONTEST-TIME!Hey all!IT'S CONTEST-TIME!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's that time again - time for a little raffle!
The prize is relatively small this time; basically a line-art portrait of the character chosen by the winner... I might slap some basecolor onto it, or polish it a bit, but I really can't promise that as the time I have available for art has become really really seriously limited.
Also I will not give a set time when I'll be finished with it. It might take months, it might take weeks, or it might take hours. It depends so if you're the winner, please be patient and no rushing, k? I will finish it, but at my own pace.
[Edit] People, please note that the prize-art is lineart only, and will only show the neck, head, hair, ears, face, and possible horns/hat/head-gear or -accessories!
SO. On to the rules. There are two.
1. Fave this journal. Once I'm picking the winner I will use a random number-generator to create a number, then find the participant from the faves list with

Why advertising ain't evilOne of the things I mentioned in my journal about social interaction was that you should only watch a person on DeviantArt when you were genuinely interested. While that states the obvious, the statement sort of backlashed on me, and many people called me a hypocrite for saying the above thing, because I've been advertising my profile at dAhub and apparently that's one of those things you shouldn't do.Why advertising ain't evil1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
However, I wouldn't be me if I didn't think of this as bullshit.
I've been calling this whole "marketing is evil" statement on DA utter nonsense before, and I will do it again. Because it actually is. It makes completely no sense to be on a website with so many artists that want to sell their art/commissions/adoptables for a reasonable price. Yet when anyone doe
