They weren't here to steal the thing. It wasn't opening to let whatever was inside it escape. No, they came to put the worst person in the world in it. To imprision me. I've seen the end of the universe more times then I care to count, seen the end of too many civilisations. Seen the back of too many companions, dear friends. Yet I refuse to wield a gun in anger. Refuse to actually kill anyone directly. I will happily imprison them forever, to let them think over their sins for eternity. Ironic now then, that I am stuck in the Pandorica. The ultimate jail cell. No way out. No way to escape, not even death. Death would be a long time coming for me anyway. Leaving me, for all of eterntity, to think on my sins. And there are many of them. To think on that I let my people die. Twice. I ran. Oh, I ran, so fast, so far. I

“Everyone , hide!” she hissed sharply.
The three guardians and their few remaining companions quickly darted into various side tunnels and other nooks and crannies of the shadowed passage, just as the muffled footsteps from ahead rounded the corner. They all flattened themselves deeper into their hiding places when they recognized the figure at the front of the group.
The Nightmare King himself was leading what appeared to be a small procession of nightmares through the halls, and beside him…
The pooka felt his hackles rise. “Jack…”
The playful spirit looked barely a shadow of himself. He appeared entirely unconcerned of the half a dozen nightmares that were following close behind him. His face was perfectly blank, and marble-white against his black clothes. His hand was resting lightly on the shadow lord’s bent arm, like a noble lady being led to a state dinner.
Jack's Life - Chapter 3: Personal HygieneI was a pretty normal day at the Pole. It was nearly evening and Tooth and Bunnymund had decided to visit, again. If there was one thing that changed once Jack decided to make the North Pole his home it was that the other Guardians came over more than they ever had. Not that North or Jack minded their company; on the contrary, Jack always gave any Guardian that visited an attack hug. Even Bunnymund couldn’t escape them.Jack's Life - Chapter 3: Personal Hygiene3 years ago in Humor More Like This
At the moment Jack was amusing himself, much to North’s dismay, by sitting on the floor and creating snowballs and repeatedly throwing them at the wall of the dining hall.
Tooth flew around him on her way to see North, but stopped to do a double take at Jack. She zoomed forwards and began running her fingers through Jack’s hair, closely examining it.
“Hey! Tooth, stop that!” Jack cried trying to push the fairy away but Tooth was stubborn. North and Bunnymund, who had been the middle of heated

They had done it. It was really only just now sinking in, as they felt the wind on their faces and saw the rising sun peek through the trees. They had gone down into the maw of darkness itself, faced Pitch Black in his own territory, and come out the victors.
The yetis and the rest of Toothiana’s faeries met them at the edge of the forest, the yetis grunting and fussing over their worn and torn appearance, while the faeries mobbed their ‘mommy’ and some even Jack, and the elves jingled merrily underfoot.
Jack especially was practically passed from one yeti to another, all of them expressing their dismay over his appearance. Meanwhile, the faeries were chirping and trying to pick the remains of nightmare sand from his hair, one tiny handful at a time. The prince surrendered to the

You sighed tiredly, taking a small sip of your champagne before glancing around idly. You hated weddings. Well, to be fair, you just hated parties in general. You disliked being surrounded by people you didn’t know.
You actually did know a decent amount of people at the wedding, but like Amy and Rory, you had gone to high school with them and hadn’t really kept in touch much after that.
A couple of people had tried to talk to you, men mostly, but your nervousness kicked in and you just retreated to the ladies room until they gave up, and went to find other women to talk to.
You frowned slightly as the man approached you, already fiddling anxiously with your necklace.
“Hello!” The man said cheerfully.
“Hi.” You said quietly, looking at your shoes as the man studied your face.
“Why are you so timid?” He asked curiously.
“Pardon?” You questioned, looking up from your shoes and at the man’s face.

Some plague her in the night and create darkness under the eye
But perhaps you could be of some assistance
Here sits a girl with hope
All she hopes is to see that white head of yours
Even a letter will do if you have the time
Or frost on the window, or her first white Christmas
Nipping at her nose
The cold yet warming touch of your fingertips
All she really wants
Is to see you

The cold night wind blew through the calm forest. The freshly fallen snow blew along with the wind. The moon was high in the sky but was slowly going down, soon dawn would hit. A gust of wind worked its way into one of the many tents in the clearing. The wind blew in, wrapping itself around the sickly looking Winter Spirit. Jack shifted awake, his limbs hurt and he'd never felt so terrible. He coughed and felt warm liquid seep down his face.
He lifted a shaky hand and placed his fingers at his lips pulling them away he saw blood on his pale finger. Jack groaned and wiped the blood away from his mouth. He was about to turn over when he felt a weight on his chest. He looked down and notice the young brown haired boy using him as a pillow. Jamie was hugging him around his waist and shivering.
Jack sighed, slowly but carefully lifting the boy away from him. Jack scooted off the soft surface of Jamie's sleeping back. Noticing the frost covering it Jack looked through the da

What was so important about another year beginning? Well to most people New Years was a significant day that proved they made it through another year through all the twists and turns. What was New Years to a Guardian? It told them that it was another successful year of helping children. But to Jack, New Years meant nothing to Jack. Another year had gone by, and he was alone. Or at least, that's how it usually was.
Jack would sit in a tree, staring at the moon, asking, begging for answers as to why he was here. Why no one could see him. But Manny never answered. He would sit alone, tears running down his frozen face, and he would never be able to do anything about it.
But now, he was a Guardian. The year had gone by, they had defeated Pitch, summer had gone, fall had well… fallen, and winter was going well. Jamie had celebrated Christmas morning with Jack; they had a snow ball fight with the rest of the kids while talking about what North had brought th

Jack looked at the large workshop in front of him; he had seen the lights and known that was what called all the Guardians here. He just wasn't sure why North would call them all together on Christmas Eve. He hesitantly walked to the doors and slowly opened them. Inside the yetis were working like crazy. All of them were hauling presents towards the place where North kept his sleigh. Others were finishing wrapping presents and a few were working on last-minute presents.
Jack stared at the sight for a second before shutting the door behind him and walking past them. He shot a few passing yetis an uneasy look. He was sure that if he was called here on Christmas Eve it was one of two things. One: The world was in trouble again and all the Guardians needed to save it. That or two: He had done something horribly wrong and North had brought him here so that the Guardians could scold him. Probably the later if he had to guess.
Jack walked up the stairs and

Music. It’s an art of sound and time that allows us to hear what a person created with their voice or instrument. There are many definitions of music. Some say “music is something that the world would be lost without”. Others say “It’s one of mankind’s greatest achievements”. But the most popular definition of music nowadays is “Ruined by MTV”.
When I was younger, my mother would take me out for drives in the car. She would often play songs by artists or bands like Queen, Elton John or the Eagles. I really enjoyed listening to those songs in the back seat. I knew it was my kind of music when I was able to know number of the CD track when she turned on the player. To this day, I still remember that Elton John’s Crocodile Rock was number 20 on the CD, and that was 14 years ago. Now when I listen to pop music today, all I hear are a bunch of swear words and how good drugs and sex are. That music

There is a difference between a home and a place you live. I have lived by the lake for my whole immortal life. But it wasn't my home. A home is with family and friends. A place you build together, somewhere that keeps you all close. I've never had a home, and I was so sure that I never would.
The Guardians gave me the home I never had. And for that I am eternally grateful. If it wasn't for them I'd still be out on my own, always looking for food, hardly getting any sleep, and knowing that someone could attack me from anywhere.
But now I have a family and a home, I don't need anything more…
After the battle everyone had celebrated, the Guardians had a feast and Jack and Jamie had a snowball fight soon afterwards. Jack's Life - Chapter 2: SicknessJack woke up and felt that something just wasn't quite right. He didn't know how why, he just didn't feel quite up to today. After about twenty minutes of tossing and turning, Jack decided that it would be pointless to stay in bed when he couldn't sleep. The Guardians were all at the table when he got there; North was at the head with Bunnymund to his right and Tooth on the left. Sand floated in his seat next to Bunnymund. North must have just said something funny, because Tooth burst into laughter while Sandy clapped and Bunnymund even smirked. Jack was finding it hard to concentrate. He made it to the table and ignored all conversation. He didn't feel at all hungry, so he just sat there poking at the bowl of cereal without much interest, eating less than half.
