They weren't here to steal the thing. It wasn't opening to let whatever was inside it escape. No, they came to put the worst person in the world in it. To imprision me. I've seen the end of the universe more times then I care to count, seen the end of too many civilisations. Seen the back of too many companions, dear friends. Yet I refuse to wield a gun in anger. Refuse to actually kill anyone directly. I will happily imprison them forever, to let them think over their sins for eternity. Ironic now then, that I am stuck in the Pandorica. The ultimate jail cell. No way out. No way to escape, not even death. Death would be a long time coming for me anyway. Leaving me, for all of eterntity, to think on my sins. And there are many of them. To think on that I let my people die. Twice. I ran. Oh, I ran, so fast, so far. I

You sighed tiredly, taking a small sip of your champagne before glancing around idly. You hated weddings. Well, to be fair, you just hated parties in general. You disliked being surrounded by people you didn’t know.
You actually did know a decent amount of people at the wedding, but like Amy and Rory, you had gone to high school with them and hadn’t really kept in touch much after that.
A couple of people had tried to talk to you, men mostly, but your nervousness kicked in and you just retreated to the ladies room until they gave up, and went to find other women to talk to.
You frowned slightly as the man approached you, already fiddling anxiously with your necklace.
“Hello!” The man said cheerfully.
“Hi.” You said quietly, looking at your shoes as the man studied your face.
“Why are you so timid?” He asked curiously.
“Pardon?” You questioned, looking up from your shoes and at the man’s face.

“Everyone , hide!” she hissed sharply.
The three guardians and their few remaining companions quickly darted into various side tunnels and other nooks and crannies of the shadowed passage, just as the muffled footsteps from ahead rounded the corner. They all flattened themselves deeper into their hiding places when they recognized the figure at the front of the group.
The Nightmare King himself was leading what appeared to be a small procession of nightmares through the halls, and beside him…
The pooka felt his hackles rise. “Jack…”
The playful spirit looked barely a shadow of himself. He appeared entirely unconcerned of the half a dozen nightmares that were following close behind him. His face was perfectly blank, and marble-white against his black clothes. His hand was resting lightly on the shadow lord’s bent arm, like a noble lady being led to a state dinner.

They had done it. It was really only just now sinking in, as they felt the wind on their faces and saw the rising sun peek through the trees. They had gone down into the maw of darkness itself, faced Pitch Black in his own territory, and come out the victors.
The yetis and the rest of Toothiana’s faeries met them at the edge of the forest, the yetis grunting and fussing over their worn and torn appearance, while the faeries mobbed their ‘mommy’ and some even Jack, and the elves jingled merrily underfoot.
Jack especially was practically passed from one yeti to another, all of them expressing their dismay over his appearance. Meanwhile, the faeries were chirping and trying to pick the remains of nightmare sand from his hair, one tiny handful at a time. The prince surrendered to the

The Doctor followed not far behind, both of you cradling his body as his breathing slowed.

You glanced over at your mother, who was staring at your father with a blank expression.

Another one goes gliding silently by you, and despite the heat, you feel an aching cold pass through your stomach and you curl up even tighter, trying to disappear.
Where could he be? He promised to keep you safe. "I would take a bullet for you." He had said, holding your hand to his chest. "I really would. Both hearts. You're going to be fine. I'm going to get you out of here."
That's what he said before they dragged him away. And you would be worried about him, except the creatures have been whispering, and panicking about an escaped prisoner, and you can still understand them. So he is alive. Free. Conscious. Alright.

She could hear the clack of huge claws, hear the scrape of massive chitinous plates against the corridor walls as the monster squeezed around the corner behind her. The Doctor sprinted ahead of her, the sonic screwdriver held out before him as they barrelled down the corridor to the door.
Donna looked back over her shoulder, dread gripped her insides as the lights behind popped, crushed by the giant size of the monster inexorably squeezing its way toward them. She slammed to an abrupt halt and bounced back, briefly squashing the Doctor between her and the unopened door.
He kept yanking at the door knob, jiggering at the keyhole with a paperclip.
"Hurry up!" she yelled. "Sonic it!"
"Then what's the problem?"
"It wasn't locked."

Honestly, I don't think I'd ever be ready to tell her or...or any of them what I saw.
It's not like it's a common thing to tell someone you died saving your little sister. That you drowned giving up your life for another. I didn't even know how the others became Guardians or what they were like before. I, I guess part of me wanted them to share their stories first, maybe it'd make sharing mine a little easier. Perhaps I could try to tell them about my death around the date I actually died, maybe it'd just push me to talk about it.
But when that date rolled around, I couldn't bring myself to even bother to come face

I ran as fast as I could, the wind did nothing to aid me. Not that I thought it would; it had stopped assisting me the last time I'd come above ground. It was as if it was mad at me...not that I could blame it. Of course, I wasn't really sure why it had used to help me in the first place.
Making my way back to Pitch, I couldn't help but let my thoughts drift. What if all of this was completely wrong? Why do I work with Pitch, surely I could get along with this Jack Frost character, he and I seemed a lot alike! Well, from what Jamie had said at least. And maybe...the other spirits, the Guardians...wouldn't mind me either.
I stopped, coming to a halt in the snow and shadows. The Guardians...They helped kids, right? Sure, I'd done some bad things, but Pitch had told me to, and its not like I actually had a choice. Perhaps...perhaps they're not so bad. I smiled softly, looking up a

Pitch's return ch.6Chapter 6Pitch's return ch.62 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Pitch walked over to his nightmares, readying them for the takeover he had so longed for. "Jack," the Nightmare King called. Jack Frost flew over to Pitch, a smile on his face. The Boogeyman grabbed the boy's chin and kissed him. "Jack, would you do me a favor?" Pitch said gesturing to the nightmares. Jack flew to the ground and covered the nightmares in a light layer of frost. The Nightmare King laughed viciously. "Excellent."
The two headed for the town of Burgess, Pitch in desperate need to first take down the children that defeated him before. Once they arrived, the pair stood on a sand cloud high above the city. The black sand and frost went out in all directions, turning all the children's dreams to nightmares. Jack smiled up at Pitch, glad to see the Boogeyman was so pleased with how everything was going.
"Jack," Pitch began, "I need you to fly towards the other side of town. There isn't enough ice on the nightmares." Jack nodded his head and flew in t

He didn’t resist as she readjusted his sheets and hushed him up whenever we started to talk. I chuckled, more out of pity then amusement; Tooth was a mother hen to all of us.

"I'm beating you old man!" Jack shouted at Pitch who was a ways behind him. "I thought you said you were fast!" He looked back, but Pitch was no longer there. He suddenly ran into something; it was Pitch. "What?!"
"I told you I was fast." The Nightmare King snickered and threw Jack up into the air, but before he could catch him Jack took off riding his staff like a surfboard.
"Well Boogeyman, you gonna surf or what?" Pitch gave him an 'are you kidding me' look. "Well if you can't do it, you can't do it." Jack giggled mischievously, knowing Pitch couldn't back down now.
"Fine, if it'll prove to you that you're not as amazing as you think you are." He made a surfboard out of nightmaresand and took off with Jack.
The young guardian laughed happily. He grabbed his staff and jumped onto Pitch's surfboard. It became unbalanced and the two fell hard on a skyscraper. Jack landed on top of the man; they were both laying still in slight shock at how hard they landed.

"Jack? Jack? Wake up Jack." Jack's white eyes opened with a slight surprise. He quickly jumped up from his place on the bed, and wrapped his arms around Pitch's neck. The Boogeyman unprepared for the boy's hug immediately lost his balance and fell off the bed. Seeing Jack still clung to him, Pitch laughed. "I can see you're affectionate."
"Yeah." The Nightmare King stood up, but the frost elf refused to let go. Not minding Jack's sentiment, he simply held the guardian as he headed out of the lair. The two headed out into the cold night, where a small army of nightmares awaited for them.
Although it pained him to do so, Pitch removed the boy from his person and placed him upon a nightmare. The Boogeyman placed himself behind jack, just in case worse came to worse, he'd easily be able to grab the frost elf's neck and return him to an obedient state. "Jack be prepared to hold on."
"Okay." The nightmares took to the sky and they headed towards the nearest neighbo

North chuckled at the familiar phrase; Jack always managed to run into the yeti he had deemed as Phil first at the pole, it was almost as if it was a rule for him to annoy the poor beast before carrying on with why he came. Not that the yeti exactly minded, over the years after Jack had become a Guardian, Phil had grown fond of the kid.
Truly, all the Guardians had, and each fully enjoyed whenever the winter spirit paid them a visit; which, to their great pleasure, was nearly becoming a weekly thing.

The boy smirked, hopping down from where he'd perched on the railing of the Globe Room. He twirled his staff in his hands, not bothering to avoid the unlucky elves running along the ground; two froze on the spot. No, more like huge.
Tooth and I had split up in search of the little anklebiter, calling out his name and looking into every hiding spot there was at the pole. Yetis and elves eventually caught on to what had happened, and were helping us in the search for Jackson. Every minute that ticked by without even a trance of the kid only worked me up more. How'd we been so stupid to fall for one of the oldest tricks in the book?
Jack was a trouble maker. Always had been always will be, we should've known that even as a human child he'd be a handful. His poor mother probably had a lot to deal with, especially if Jack taught his little sister all of his antics. I shuddered a bit, reminding myself of what time period he'd grown up in; maybe he stirred up trouble and mischief to help them get by, back in those days, child death was common and there wasn't much to do besides adult work. Perhaps he'd get

Walking towards the bed Pitch pried the boy away and placed him upon it. The Nightmare King sat down behind Jack, and tilted the guardian's head to the side. He pulled down the collar of Jack's sweatshirt and repeatedly kissed the frost elf's neck. A slight blush appeared on Jack's face, and a small gasp slipped out of his mouth.
"You're surprised Jack?" The boogeyman laughed slightly. "You're more innocent then I thought." Pitch reached his hand under Jack's shirt, and began caressing his chest, while still kissing the boy's neck. A slight moan escaped the boy's mouth. Pitch then rubbed Jack's thigh, causing the snow spirit to cringe. Despite Jack's age, he really was a kid at heart, and very unaccustomed to these sorts of sensations, so Pitch stopped, for he didn't want to overwhelm the frost elf.
The Nightmare King placed the boy on his lap, and held him like a small child. It was obvious that in their relationship Pitch was overprotective. It stayed that

Jack struggled to break out, but when one is tossed in a sac there is often much confusion, not to mention the fact he couldn't see anything. Suddenly he hit the ground and before he could even think of escaping, the yetis' grabbed him and tied him to a tree in the warren.
"LET ME GO!! LET ME GO!" Jack screamed. A thick layer of ice traveled up the tree and onto the ropes, but was of no help in freeing the boy. The frost elf's breathing became heavier as he glared angrily at the ground.
"What did Pitch do to him?" Tooth asked, horrified by Jack's obvious hatred for them.
"Some sort of spell," Bunnymund stated stepping closer. He grabbed the guardian's chin, lifting up his head, despite Jack's cold stare. "There's strange markings all over his neck." Without warning Bunny's paw was frozen over. "Cranky!" He said jumping back. A sly smirk appeared on Jack's face. "Oh just wait 'till I get my hands on Pitch, I'll-"
