IMPORTANTIf you are planning on cosplaying Ticci-Toby at any time in the near future please do me a favor and do not buy your cosplay from this website http://www.cosplayfu.com/product/Ticci+Toby+Cosplay+from+CreepypastaIMPORTANT9 months ago in Personal More Like This
They're pretty much selling a cosplay of a copyrighted character without permission and I would really appreciate it if you guys could maybe spread the word if you have the time!
I really love to see people cosplaying him and I have no problem with it but please don't buy it.
Please put it together yourself meaning please don't purchase anything from any businesses that labels him by name for it's not authorized and is a violation of copyright.
Not to mention that this website uses artwork from both myself and others to advertise.
Thank you all very much!
Things I wish Comics Would Stop Doing Part 3Digital Motion BlurringThings I wish Comics Would Stop Doing Part 31 year ago in Personal More Like This
Part 3 is up. Just to be completely transparent here, I've done the digital motion blurring effect on a couple occasions too, though I didn't enjoy the results. It is a rather lazy way to convey motion, and if you have ink outlines I think it looks even worse. As Scott McCloud says, there are a lot of ways to convey motion. I just don't particularly enjoy this variation, especially in how it's used in modern mainstream Amerian comics.
Exceptions to the rule might be if the comic had colored outlines, or even no outlines at all. I think that might be a better use of the blurring effect, but even still it feels unnecessary. I dunno, what do you guys think?

I love water-based media! What is “waterbased media” you say? Well that would be any kind of water-soluble ink or paint! There are many advantages to working with water-based media, the main one being that many water-based paints and inks are not extremely dangerous to work with (in comparison to oils which are not good to get on your hands people…wear gloves!), there is no need for special clean up or a specific work environment (on that note, please PLEASE do not paint with oils in your living room). Another advantage to working with water-based media is quick drying times. This is a pro especially if you do illustrative works. A third pro to water-based media is that they are somewhat cost effective for us starving artists. Here are some types of water-based media: watercolor, ink, latex paint, and acrylic paint. My favorite type of water-based media is watercolor. Tip: you don’t need t

I just recently found this...
For those who have known me for a long time, a long while ago, I have posted a journal of my family having the Huntingtons Disease. My mother has it, sadly it is starting to affect her but, she is hopeful as ever. She has also been accepted for the clinic trials, which means she will be one of the first people to be worked on. ;u; So there is hope that they be able to stop it in its tracks, and honestly, stopping it now would be the best thing ever.
I have grown up not really getting to know my grandfather and two uncles because of this, by the time I was at an age that I can remember, it has spread far too long, and their speech has diminished into gibberish...it's very very hard to see your loved ones slowly become that.
And the thought of knowing my mother is going to be just like them...rips my soul to pieces you

Laws of AnimeIn English:Laws of Anime5 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've only determined 21 so far.
1. The ordinary laws of physics don't apply.
2. Every object, regardless of its shape, size and weight is aerodynamic.
3. There are two types of death.
3.1. Very quick. Sometimes it takes the character a few seconds before he realizes that he is fatally wounded.
3.2. Very slow. Sometimes takes a whole episode. There is either a flashback to show the characters difficult past or a monologue in which profound epigrams regarding life, death and existence are formed.
4. In most cases the quantity of hair is proportional to the quantity strength/ reiatsu / chakra /speed. Does not apply for intelligence.
5. Everything is combustible and explodes. (Especially buildings)
6. There is always an energy build up before Mecha or space craft weapons fire.
7. Munitions only run out in critical situations.
8. The human body has at least 30 liters of blood. Sometimes under a pressure of over 50 Pa.
9. Demons/ghosts/hollows/gods can only be killed with a

I get it, I really do. You're busy, you don't really want to do your job, and you've been taught to have the least possible concern for other people as you can as to avoid branding this website with a 'bad reputation'.
This place is supposedly all flowers, rainbows, and happy people frolicking away in eternal bliss sharing art, and being merry.
Meanwhile the truth is this place is the biggest joke on the internet. It's filled and continually filling up with so many sockpuppet troll accounts, cyber bullies, and spammers with such rapidity it puts Myspace or any other social media site to shame.

Let's have some fun!I think, by far one of the most important parts of drawing anything, and also the one aspect most often forgot, is to have fun drawing.Let's have some fun!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
People always get caught up worrying about what others will think of them if they see _______ on their blog, or how drawing ________ wont benefit them in anyway and how they should draw more “serious and finished” work - and that sucks.
No one ever got famous worrying about how everyone else will perceive their work. When you listen to any or all of your favorites artists talk about their process for making something, it never comes down to “Oh I thought people would like______”, no. It’s always “I made what I thought was funny”, or “what i thought would be cool”, or “what I wanted to see done”, or “how I saw it”. Those people sat down and made what made them happy and it shows - that’s why they’re your favorite - they did what they thought was fun without caring

Anyway, I guess since I'm already doing a picture for :Iconhuntertallonian: I said I'd do over text(By the way, coming along great, without colored pencils or ink pens, however, not yet ready for public showing), I guess I'll open myself up to free requests to get my creative juices flowing, just for now, though! I'll let know when the time for request has stopped! Til then, just tell me what you want and I'll see what I can do with just pencil! ALRIGHT, LET'S DO THIS!Desperation!5 months ago in Personal More Like This
EDIT: Good news! I finished my first piece! All it needs is some touching up with shading and it'd be good to good!

FAQHow did you get started?FAQ4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've always sculpted as a hobby and am completely self taught. In April of 2010 I decided I wanted to finally try my hand at selling my work. I started posting things on etsy and DA and veeery slowly people started noticing. My first couple of years relied heavily on commission work.
How are you so popular? I just started making sculptures too but nobody notices or buys them?
It took well over two years before I was actually getting fulltime work with decent pay. It took a TON of hard work. I sold my work for far less than I should have, because I needed customers. I also did a few shows, to get some exposure by handing out business cards. I made things as often as I could, posted often, and made sure it was very clear I was open for commissions. I posted links on everything. You have to make it easy for people to find the info they need! I posted mainly on etsy and DA, then made a fanpage on facebook very late in the game. Probably sh

It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one-month Premium Membership to deviantA
