The Bond of Two"Still asleep, huh?" Hiccup whispered while letting his fingers stroke and ligthly scratch Toothless' sleeping head. He had been planning for the two of them to take a field trip into the woods to gather some berries the village women used for ingredients in one of their delicious cookings, and since Hiccup and Toothless had been known to know the side of the island where they grew the most, they had asked for them to go and pick them. The Bond of Two5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"We hope it's not too much to ask." they had said, giving Hiccup a slightly sad look.
"You know, with that leg of yours..." they didn't finish the sentence, clearly worried if they had hurt him, but Hiccup didn't mind at all.
"It's alright! I have Toothless!" he said with a smile, before asking for how much they needed. Having recieved a basket big enough to require the carrier to use both hands, he had wondered off, excited about the thought that the place they were to pick the berries where nearby where he and Toothless had first met and eventually got

It was official, Hiccup was stuck. Stuck in a tree. A really big, scary, tree.
It had started this early that evening. He and Toothless were having a fun time that day, playing together and causing mayhem to the nearby animals that lived in their little trench, as well as sort of splashing around in the water (Hiccup didn't want to get his clothes wet, so they basically had a lame splash fight at the edge of the lake and barely got any drops on each other).
Then they had simply sat around and Hiccup was enjoying the view of the wildlife and plants and scenery that encompassed there little area. Then he had noticed that the sun was getting down. Getting the urge to witness the probably-amazing sunset, he looked over at the big tree that crawled down the side of the trench.
Standing from his comfy spot right by the black dragon's belly, he trotted over to the large tree and began to climb it, figuring since it looked so big and thick, it'd be easy to find a nice s

Watching the ground bridge open with both eagerness and hope that nothing bad happened, Cole and Kira watched as Smokescreen, followed closely by Bumblebee trotted through slowly coming to a stop.
Hollering with giddy intent, Smokescreen held up the prize of the battle in his hand; the mystery relic that was the cause for the whole fight today. “WOOH! HA! Those ‘Cons never knew what hit ‘em!!”
Beeping in a simple agreement, Bumblebee nodded in approval.
Coming through the ground bridge, Arcee was quick and spoke harshly. “Ratchet, have your medical kit ready. Optimus was hurt pretty bad.”
“What?!” Lurching forward suddenly, Cole stared at Arcee unsure of what she had just said. “Dad was hurt?! How? Is he gonna be okay?!”
Looking at Bumblebee and Smokescreen, Ratchet spoke quickly. “Take the sparklings into the sparing room and keep them there until I call for you. “

The high of being a hero slowly wore off for Hiccup, and it was only then when he began to wonder, again, why certain things were so.
He had tamed a Night Fury, earned the real respect of his father—the entire village in fact—and he found himself in the constant company of Astrid Hofferson.
Was it too much to say they were dating, or were they just friends? Certainly Astrid didn’t go around giving out kisses to every one-legged Viking that stumbled out of their house, but she hadn’t kissed him ever since, and he certainly wasn’t ready to do so either.
But one thing they did plenty of was talking. Or at least, they tried to.
It was one of those things Hiccup feared every day. That perhaps—once again—he had put Astrid on too high a pedestal and sooner or later he’d realize that their ‘relationship’ was only made up of mutual physical attraction. So he’d skip the kisses if it meant avoiding that fat

He would bet everything he had that the seasoned blacksmith had been perfectly aware of what was going to happen to his apprentice. Hiccup glared at the waves that licked the five toes he had left and sent uncontrollable shivers running down his spine. He wondered how Astrid and the others could ignore the actual temperature of the water. Sighing, he bravely dipped his right foot in the sea and immediately retrieved it,

Over the next couple of weeks Axel, Roxas and I became great friends. I also meet Xion who was friends with Roxas and Axel. She was nice and we would talk sometimes. We always ate sea-salt ice cream at the Clock Tower every day after they were done with their missions. Every now and then I would see Roxas blush for no apparent reason when he was looking at me. Did he like me? I found out the three of them were Nobodies and they were part of this organization called Organization XIII. They couldn't feel anything, if they did then those feelings were false and they had no hearts. I was sad because I was starting to really like Roxas, as in more than friends but now I know that he could never return those feelings. Every time I saw him I would remember that he couldn't feel so I became sad. I didn't show it on the outside but on the inside it was awful.
Albus was still around and yes he would beat me but not as much. It hurt as always but I would try to ignore the pain. Lately

Bumblebee halted, staring at Wheeljack who was in the thick of his science. Rather DUBIOUS science by Bumblebee's standard, but that could be why he was requesting Raf's help. After all, if his chassis was popped open and he had wires hooked to and from his spark, NOTHING good could be coming from that setup.
*Um . . . He's with Prowl right now, but uh, I can go grab him if you really need him*
Wheeljack grunted, only half hearing the scout as he carefully used tweezers to tie the cut groups of wires together so two cables became one. "Hm? What? Sure. Raf." And then, his processor suddenly caught up with what he was saying. He looked up sharply from his work, blurting, "Prowl?"
Optics shifting to the exact opposite side of the room, Wheeljack saw Raf's feet typing away on a datapad—no, backspacing. Prowl's form was both tense and uncommonly relaxed. His back was stiff, door wings equally rigid, but one leg was hiked up on the t

"My great great great great great grandson?"
Hiccup and Dax stood staring at one another, as if see the other in a new light. Their gazes held some level of scrutiny as well. They could see now how much they resembled one another, though there were some very distinct differences. Over a few generations Hiccups hair color had been diluted, leaving Dax's hair a sort of strawberry blond. The boy was shorter than Hiccup, and few shades paler. Also there were his braces, which were shiny and refracted the sun in ever direction. Dax cleared his throat, "Erm... So... um..."
He was cut off in his clueless sentence by a strange ringing sound. Hiccup watched as Dax reached into his pocket and pulled out a small nearly flat box. The look on the kid's face became one of pure shock. He exclaimed, "Oh, man! I'm late!"

It left both Hiccup and Astrid exhausted, both mentally and physically. It was only when they had time to themselves, hours after the fighting that they collapsed into each other's arms.
Hiccup had almost cried as the faces of so many people flashed in his mind; it was only Astrid's tight arms round him that brought the tears streaming down his face, droplets falling onto her skirt and melting amongst the red smears there.
"Shh..." Her voice shaking gave away the fact that she was crying as well; together they shed tears over the ones they'd lost and the ones who had died for nothing but the sake of their leader's commands.
Eventually their sobbing subsided and they spoke in whispers, neither one wanting to harm the heavy but comforting silence around them.

There were a great many things which, although they seemed quite natural to the dwarves, initially mystified the little Hobbit. Their method of greeting each other by smashing their skulls together was only the first incident in which he became aware of their unfamiliar customs. He quickly discovered more over the next few days of travelling and, in the privacy of his head; he wryly conceded that Gandalf had been right. The world was most certainly not in his books. To be entirely truthful, he learned more about the peoples of Middle Earth from one talk with the well-educated and surprisingly chatty Dori, than he had done in his entire life up until that point.
Needless to say, Dwalin’s nipple-ring had been a major eye-opener and even now the company liked to do impressions of Bilbo’s squeak of surprise upon noticing it. Bifur’s injury too had alarmed him, although in truth the axe firmly lodged in his

More than her laugh, Hiccup remembers the way his father would look at her. Sometimes staring into her eyes, quietly across the table or in greeting when she returned on a ship, but mostly at her back, at her profile, from afar. A silent admiration that would soften those hard, pale eyes and lessen the wrinkles of his brow. Stoick would look at Valhallarama, and Hiccup would look at Stoick, and she would look out to the horizon.
But most of all—more than her laugh or her presence—Hiccup remembers her absence. How she would return from a quest and a month, sometimes a week later set off for another. She’d come h
